i read a thread before that says they have a problem where when they hit z its a y. well i have the same problem plus when i am typing ANYWHERE my @ symbol is some other wierd symbol, my % sign is a !, my ! is an = sign and my = sign is the euro sign. can somebody help me fix this?

hmmm.... well assuming that you have a US Keyboard. DO you see that stickied thread at the top of the 1st page that is the tegic eT9 US keyboard fix for WM6.1??? Go there.
