Simply because theses fixes are dedicated to WM6 ROM and not WM6.1
If you want theses fixes installed on your device, you'll have to flash back the device to an original HTC Polaris ROM

could this be a sign that they won't be upgrading the cruise to WM6.1?
since they haven't made the hotfixes compatible with it

To fix this, change your AKU to 0.4.5 (might work with other values higher than 0.4.5..haven't tested this though). I had changed my AKU trying to get the blackberry connect software to run, and I got this problem when trying to update. Changing the AKU back to the stock rom value fixed the issue.

HKLM\System\Versions\AKU key, change whatever in there (like .0.0.3) to .0.4.5
Save, Soft Reset

Installing works. But does it really solve the BT problems, especially on cooked ROMs? Just dropped a call this morning. Will check a2dp during the break

No, simply that these fixes will be part of official WM 6.1 versions.

No, not yet. I can connect to the blackberry APN (for AT&T/Cingular), but I could never get it to talk to blackberry servers. I think that the BBC software is sending some kind of ID string about what kind of device it's running on and the blackberry servers aren't accepting it. I've tried to find the string I think it's sending in the registry, but I can't find it there. It might be in the ROM somewhere that I can get to in order to change it easily. ROM cookers might be able to get it to work by making a ROM report itself as a Tilt/Kaiser.

I'm going to keep poking at it, and I'll post if I do get it working though.

That's kinda the problem, I never could get a PIN from the BB servers. I was on the phone with AT&T support for a couple of hours trying different plans. They apparently have several BB plans that aren't listed on any of the websites (PDA Personal, Blackberry Personal, something called a BlackBerry PDA Personal). The trouble is that I had to call back several times, and got a different person each time. I think I went through 3 different data plans, but none of them worked. The last person I talked to didn't know what they were doing. I might try calling back next week and seeing if I can get someone thats a bit more familiar with the BB plans for PDA's.

I had bepe's 0.67 ROM installedinstalled which had the fewer issues with mute for bluetooth headset, the hot fix seems to fix it completly.

So I tried udk vega which had the worse mute problem, applied the fixes (only istalled the instal1.cab) which is extracted from the EXE, without changing AKU version in the registry.

Now my headset is always on mute, with or without the patch on every rom i've tried with 3 different head sets: plantronics 520, motorola s9, parrot ls3200..

HELP!!! please i'm second (who am i kidding, days) before crashing the cruise to the wall, it will be much cheaper then my time spending on this, at work, at home, instead of sleeping....
