View Full Version : Where are the moderators

I find it strange that there is a hard-spl that requires a certificate signing and another hard-spl that is supossedly not the work of the author but is stickied or if it is then why is one member allowed to accuse another member of cheating.
Please do not take this the wrong way I fully appreciate the work of everyone involved here but surely the following is not an unreasonable request:
Would like to ask the moderators to give judgement and clarification to the forum members

You must be new here.
Moderators are moderators because they keep the peace and clean up the shit.
they aren't technical experts of any sort (well, some are good of course) but the point is that they're not moderators because they're well-versed in this.
And Tom Codon didn't steal the Hard-SPL, I didn't say he did, I DID say he didn't credit Jockyw for making it.

I fully understand your point of view and really appreciate the hard work that you have put in but this is not the correct way to start off this journey into developing our new Diamonds.
I am new is somewhat condesending and to say that moderators do not have the technical expertise is qually condesending. As a previous TYTN II owner at least 3 of the moderators produced some very fine ROMS that I know off and if it was not for some of those moderators alot of the break throughs achieved on previous models would not have happened.
If all a moderator is, in your opinion, a guy to clean up the shit and keep the peace then this forum needs exactly that at this moment.

Re-read what I wrote, and don't skim it, then give a proper answer.

Alright then lets put it another way and you tell me what you think.
Tom has a hard-spl that jockyw developed (in fact I also use the jockyw developed hard-spl on my TYTN II before I sold it). This hard-spl is not working because it was mean't for another device (correct?) and yet its stickied. So for a lay man when an item is stickied it normally means something excellent worth pursuing etc etc. So my point where is the moderators on this one.
You and your collegues have developed a hard-spl that requires certificate signing. That is entirely your choice for your reasons and it is appreciated but you have accussed another member of doing something wrong and again where is the moderators on this.
As a magician owner then TYTN II and now diamond this has to be the first time that I have seen the moderators sit on the fence and be impartial. I might not contribute much but at the same time I read alot and never ask stupid questions. I am happy to test anything as this is half the fun of owning a htc device and I am confident in the knowledge that if something goes wrong someone in this forum has a solution.
I do not mean to offend anyone but this is just my 2 cents worth.

the jocky/tomcodon hardspl was made for preproduction diamonds.. HTC put in new protection in the final ones - you are right it should be unstickied because it doesn't work., have you tried it on your diamond?
please understand, our hardspl will soon be changed to allow unsigned ROMs too.

No, it's not for another device, it only works with pre-production devices... which obviously you don't get sold to you at the store.

Read the whole diamond Hard-SPL thread and you'll see it, which would save the need for this pointless thread demanding it be spoon-fed.

You should also know the signing is also a temporary measure... or at least you would if you genuinely did "read alot" (it's "a lot" btw, I'm sure English isn't your first language though) then you'd know that the signing is only a temporary measure.

In one fell swoop you have undone all your good work. What a total asshole. So you think you are better than Asians as English is your first language.
I am very disappointed that you can be allowed to degrade genuine members who simply have a raised a concern as to the path that this forum is going in the diamond section as oppossed to the very professional direction taken by the paths of other great devices such as TYTN II

geeee,
is this forum in need of a cleanup? my answer is no!. This is quite toned down as compared to how things were in the hermes forum last year when wm6 was leaked.
what will happen when i release WM7 for the diamond and touch pro later this year? it will get messy and thats the way I like it, nice and foul with plenty of excitement, bitchiness and trout slaps!!!

Well well then, firstly to the OP you will notice the original non-working HardSPL thread....is unstickied.
And this thread is closed.
Any concerns you have about the moderation team should be made DIRECTLY to us and not wasting space in an off topic thread.
Regards.
