Can someone make a cab file of the last camera that is in the official HTC 6.1 rom? it is the 4.08... version but it is so fast and video and picture quality is great.. eventhough I have nadavi's 5.4 version, it is slow to take pictures and video is not smooth..it would be great if someone posted here...Thanks to the person who does it..
my first Thread at XDA...so don't come up with lines like "search button" stuff..as I read tens of pages of XDA everyday:) T

Isn't the Athena a VGA device? You should check the Diamond forum for a VGA camera cab. The Diamond ROM is neatly packaged so it shouldn't be too hard to make a cab. The stock rom has:
"CAMERA"="6_00_30998_01"

Thanks akadonny. I have searched but nothing found and posted new thread with this question and with request doing such a cabfile. And there is a difference between cameras in Athena and Diamond (3.0 to 3.2 megapix) I hope that this wont disturb Athena or even demage sth?

it seems to be quicker than before, but I haven't tried any low lighting pictures yet. its far too bright outside and in the office. cleaner menus, a bit more finger friendly.

I tried it and there wasn't any improvement in picture quality in not so brightly lit environments. Also I like the UI in 5.04 a whole lot better.

Dear,
I have the official HTC rom WM6.1 french.
The APN is Version 4.08 (build 30595).
I can try to extract a copy if you give me the howto procedure...

Install it and find out :D
I like it more finger friendly for menus, haven't noticed picture quality increase 3MP is 3MP, still get the Tilt blurry vision if don't use the tweak but that's expected, so all in all i'm happy :)
Thank you akadonny for the .cab.

its a yes or no type of question. enough with the game just answer the question. I belive most of us are using 5.04 by now so a REAL answer would be appreciated.

I gave you the answer install it :D "i'm not employed to tell you anything"
The answer is yes i prefer it as it's finger friendly, is it any better 3MP is 3MP, the Kaiser is crap as a camera no matter what version of HTC Camera you have!!! But does for snap shots, will the new Camera change my life? No :rolleyes:

I still have the black screen problem with this camera. Takes pics ok but you can't see what you are taking. Was hoping this cab might fix that problem but it doesn't
