Upgrade problem. PLEASE HELP

Hi, I just tried to upgrade my phone following the phone flashing guide.

I started with the CID unlock and used the HTC Hermes SIM & CID Unlock - v3a

Anyway, It got to the tri colored screen and now im stuck. It wont do anything else. I ran RUU_HERM_Unlock_v3a.exe and it cant find my phone.

Did I brick it? or what should I do now to try to fix it?

ok, I just took out the battery and waited for about 30 seconds then put it back in and the phone is fine...The directions with the HTC Hermes SIM & CID Unlock - v3a program, are they correct? I followed them exactly and the phone got stuck. Also when I tried to let it do it automatically it disconnected my phone with activesync. Is it supposed to do that? Sorry for the questions, I just dont want to brick this thing.
