you need to flash the stock OS on your device, or another ROM that matches your region.

for example if it had russian rom on it originally, flash another russian rom. (keeping the hardspl of course)

or you can do:
0.: enter tricolour screen
1.: ensure you have radio 1.00.25.05
2.: download&flash rom with region patched nk.exe (i released one somewhere, can help modifying another rom) and it will boot, or download&flash rom that doesnt have the check by default at all.

Big thx cmonex. Only flashed another rom and problem solved. Originally my rom was ROM-1.93.401.2wwe, RADIO-1.00.25.05, PROTOCOL-52.29.25.12H.

it doesn't care about that, make sure you use customruu for diamond. and make sure you still have hardspl.

it's possible you reset at the worst time, while it was flashing SPL, though if it was on 0% for 5 mins, then it is unlikely.

can you remember what your original SPL/ROM version was?

volume down + reset, not tricolour? if that's what you mean... does mtty see it (to test that, first you must disable usb connection in activesync!)?

I'm having problems installing HardSPL onto my Vodafone branded[NL] diamond.

The problem is that whenever i start the installation my phone goes blackscreen and disconnects from the pc thus also from the activesync connection which results in the updateprogram giving me an connection error message.

I have tried it several times but without succes, at the first attempt the pc found a new hardware devicewhen the phone was diconnected. But the install of this device failed and i cant get the pc to reconnect with the phone without unplugging the usb and restarting the phone by removing the battery.

On al the following attemps the phone just disconnects and no new hardware device is found but i cant update because the phone stays disconnected.

Can anyone help me with this? I have no idea what the problem could be.. :confused:

I installed the unsigned SPL but no matter which rom i try to flash I get the message "ERROR (244) invalid model ID" (translated from Dutch that is :) ).

Am I missing something ?

I have a T-mobile MDA Compact IV with 1.37 NL new today.

Fixed it by flashing the 1.93 Olinex :)

you must read and follow the instructions especially the step about the phone having to be in windows mobile when you click the hardspl exe.

try a different USB port, do not use USB hub, reboot PC, try different PC, etc...

I just wanted to say thanks thanks thanks to you guys working on this.

Maybe this can help others : My Diamond came with version 1.37 ROM customised by SFR. I only wanted the black skin (SFR touchflo is horrid), I originally changed the theme, but then found the SFR 1.93 ROM so updated... And the black skin doesn't work with that version... I just spent hours going through forums (I started on the french forums), and flashing, rebooting, flashing, rebooting. I had to use the SSPL-Manual.exe to flash the hard spl, and was attempting to install your signed 1.93 france rom, but it blocked at 0% on screen every time.
Neither signed hard spl worked, however 1.37 works like a charm. For info, when flashing the actual ROM, the screen goes black, USB turns off, then a couple of seconds later screen goes into 4 colours, and USB comes back on. The black screen issue seems to be independant from any kind of USB connection, because it doesn't reconnect itself until it's past the black screen.

Now it's all working great (albeit I get a bit of red text on the first "htc diamond" splash screen, but that's nothing).

the black screen is SSPL.

after you flashed hardspl you should have tricolour just fine while flashing roms

red text is probably the kernel version, radio version, etc, shown during boot :)

Whenever I try to run this the color wheel pops up on my Sprint diamond and then the device freezes and I have to reset it. Any thoughts?

I've been reading through rom posts for a few hours now, and I'm a bit unclear about the differences between unsigned SPL and the concept of a Security Unlock.

An unsigned SPL supposedly allows you to run unsigned code, which includes unsigned roms, which could be bad if you somehow manage to load the wrong rom.

All I can gather so far is that when I "Security Unlock" my diamond, I will be able to load up the Rapheal radio to see if they've made any changes that will improve reception for the US ATT 3G network. This is all from the Rapheal Wiki.

If I use the Developer Edition Unsigned SPL, would that allow me to use a Raphael radio? They're compatible as far as I can tell, however in the Rapheal forum they talk about needing to Security Unlock your device first.

I'm currently using jockyw2001's 1.34 HardSPL, but I can't see if its signed or unsigned.

When updating the radio to Rapheal's 1.02.25.27 I recieved a codecheck error, so either the radio's really not compatible, spl 1.34 is a signed spl, or its unsigned but it doesn't apply to radios. not really sure yet.

So, is running an "unsigned spl" the same thing as a "security unlock"?

the radio has its own signing, which differs for raphael, so you have to be sec unlocked too, to be able to ignore that sign.

It means you can only install signed ROM's, i.e ones form HTC, Carriers, or ones signed by Olinex and the other people in Elite Team. And they won't sign ranodm crap, so gives you safety- if it's signed, it's ok to flash it.

Unsigned means you can install any random ROM you like, cook your own easily and install it without any fuss.

1.93 is better for normal operations like custom roms when using a 1.9x radio.

For dev commands you will need the 1.40 mfg one. On newer devices installing the 1.40 will lead to a "screen flicker" which may irritate a bit :D

I confirmed it has an SPL that says 1.40.OliNex on it - does that mean it is this version that allows flashing even unsigned ROM's or are there a signed-only version of 1.40 out there too? I guess I could go interrogate him but I figure this is probably quicker. ;)

Hope that isn't too dumb a question, still reading through the massive quantities of great information here. Since I don't know what cooked ROM is in there, I plan to replace it with something I do know, so need to know what SPL is in there, obviously.

1.40 is always unsigned (signed version is 1.30) =)

Im getting connection error 202 on my recently purchased NAM (Best Buy) version. I click the last screen and it indicates the procedure is starting but do not get a black screen on the phone. The error pops up after a few seconds. The phone shows as being connected via activesync and syncs succsessfully. I have tried turning off advanced connections, all available USB ports and other suggestions that seemed like they might be applicable reading the posts in this thread. Should I go ahead and execute the one file on the phone and then the other on the computer in the same manner as those who are getting black screen but no progress? Thanks.

I have a diamond that came with Orange customized ROM. I need to take it back so I need to return to original SPL.

Since the original SPL prevented me installing even the original HTC rom I presume it was different than the SPL unbranded Diamonds shipped with. At least the CID was different.

So my question is, can I take my branded diamond back with the SPL that is on this forum (taken from unbranded Diamonds) and my original ROM or would I need an Orange SPL?

u need to find out what SPL version was on it originally, someone here with a original Orange Diamond should be able to tell you.

there may be more than one version that orange used, when i flashed my kaiser back to original SPL, i just used a HTC spl of the same number (1.93 i think) and it was all ok.

the most important thing to get back is the ROM.

1. Tried upgrading from XP using Activesync. When I run RomUpdateUtility.exe, the screen goes black in my device and nothing happens after that. In my PC, the status bar does not move beyond 0%. And the USB connection goes off and RomUpdateUtility throws up an error saying my device is not connected.

2. I tried upgrading from Internal storage as well. Renamed the NBH file and copied it to the Internal Storage. Got into the bootloader using VolDown+Back and reset. The bootloader is displayed and then the screen goes white and says "Loading...". Nothing happens after that. I waited for 5 minutes still nothing.

What is wrong with my Diamond? My phone is locked to Airtel (my service provider). Could that be a reason? Can someone please help me?

I have an O2 XDA Ignito and successfully flashed the Jockys 1.24 hardSPL. This has worked fine for all ROMs I have tried.

I think the XDA Ignito came with a 1.93 original SPL, so this needs to be restored if you want to return it.

thanks for the guide how to go back to the signed stock spl. Unfortunly i had to to the "downgrade" because of warranty issues. so i choosed the RUU_Signed_SPL193stock.zip and everything looks good, original rom is running and bootloader shows:

DIAM300 64M
SPL- 1.93.0000

Hi everyone, i've got a problem with the HardSPL tool.
i'm using Mac OS X Leopard and Windows XP SP2 is running in VMWare. Everything works perfect, ActiveSync establishes a connection, so far so good...
But after opening Unsigned HardSPL Diamond Olinex, i'll get the following error message (see the attachment)
What does it mean?

Obviously the RUU doesn't like this file :)

Files that start with a 'dot-underscore' (._*) are like growing weeds on a Mac system. Every FAT-Formated memory stick has them on it for each file on the stick as soon you plug them into a Mac. And a Mac doesn't display them. But you can see them on Windows.

This happens because these are the indexing data files from spotlight. If you want to use VMWare as a development system on a Mac, make sure that spotlight doesn't search any visible PC partitions.

EDIT:
I was tired. Spotlight does add some files in each directory. But these files are probably made by the finder and can't be disabled. The only way is to open a terminal on a mac and make a 'rm ._*' and immediatly unplug the device.

So let me try to get this straight.

To be able to flash an HTC Diamond I need the following:

1. Hard SPL flash my phone
2. Security, CID, SIM unlock the phone (sim unlock is just an option)
3. Pick the most popular/used Radio and flash the phone.
4. Flash phone with best most popular cooked ROM or if I want just keep my factory ROM.

Did I get these right. If so I'll go ahead with it and pray that I don't brick my lovely Diamond.

I'm not an expert and I'm like you trying to learn all this flashing and cooking thingy. But from the looks of it your phone is already flashed and unlocked. You SPL says hard so it means it got HardSPL and I see OliNex string on your radio version meaning your using one of OliNex signed radio. Good for your.

edit: oh sorry please don't quote me on any of this. As I've said I'm new to this as well. I came across something here in the forum that the bootloader should also say "security unlock" if your phone is so. Yours didn't so I don't know if it is indeed unlock or not. But one things for sure, your phone has been previously flashed.

Yes the bootloader says "security unlocked". I wanted to know if my Hardspl version is good, and if it works to install Swift's rom. About the radio version, the phone gets kind of hot when using the internet, and the single is pretty low, I wanted to try another version. For info I live in Romania, i think there are radios that work there in some country, and not so well in others. 10x.

here's the SPLs... 1.23, 1.34, 1.37, 1.93.
EDIT: I uploaded 1.35 later because people couldn't understand there was no real difference between 1.34 and 1.35. so it is now in the second attachment in this post.

if you have unsigned hardspl, you'll need to use the SSPL package (i.e. the package posted at the beginning of this thread), just replace the NBH file with one of these stock SPLs.

if you have signed hardspl, just go ahead and flash with normal RUU process (no overwrite protection in that one, as it is already only accepting htchackers signed files, there was no need for that).

edit: some people apparently can't figure it out or read the whole thread, so to save trouble, please read the following:

STEP BY STEP HOW TO RETURN TO STOCK SPL - FOR WARRANTY REASONS ONLY!

0. be sure to first restore stock OS, and stock radio. stock SPL is always to be done last!!
1. download the stock spl package from this post (pick one of the attachments) in this thread.
2. also download the RUU-SSPL-withoutNBH.zip from the attachments in this post.
3. pick the SPL you want to reflash to (ONLY FOR WARRANTY REASONS), it's a .NBH file, put the NBH in the extracted RUU-SSPL-withoutNBH package.
4. run the RUU (or if needed, run SSPL-Manual.exe manually, then run RUU when it goes to black screen), it goes to 100%, reboots, done.
+5. to verify, volume down + reset, see version number on tricolour screen.
that's it.

Solved: Reset must be relaxed first. Sorry to be soooo ...........

You havbe to press vol down the power button and then the soft reset button all for 3 sec and then it will go into bootloader mode

AFAIK, you can flash all Diamond GSM WWE ROM's published in this forum with one of these unsigned Hard-SPL's.

But, don't flash Diamond CDMA ROM's and don't flash non Diamond ROM's!

I have SSPL 1.93 in my Diamond. I tried to upgrade to Hardspl 1.40 unsinged.

2. I tried upgrading from Internal storage as well. Renamed the NBH file and copied it to the Internal Storage. Got into the bootloader using VolDown+Back and reset. The bootloader is displayed and then the screen goes white and says "Loading...". Nothing happens after that. I waited for 5 minutes still nothing.

atm i use 1.37 unsignet hardspl. my diamond works well but on startup touchflo3d and the taskmanager need long time to activate themselves. is it usefull to flash 1.93hardspl? or does it change nothing at all? or maybe i should flash stock spl?

I am using SPL OliNex.1.93, tried upgrading the diamond from WWE 1.x rom to WWE 2.x rom (official, signed) but in the end i always get an error, image is corrupt. After this the device won't boot stating an error, i can only fix it by running the HardSPL RUU again. In this case, the device seems to work properly and the ROM is indeed upgraded.

I never had this kind of issues when running XP but as all my PCs at home now have Vista, i tought it might be a problem with that. Am i right or am i doing something i shouldn't?

PS: I am capable of loading my own roms, that's not the issue, just wondering if it's about Vista or some settings in the USB connection. Thanks.

Well I just bought an asian version of the phone and I tried to just upgrade the official HTC 2.03 ROM but then my S/N is not appropraite for the upgrade. I then tried to flash a unsigned hard SPL from OLINEX and I want the 1.93 unsigned HSPL because my phone is 1.93 stock. I download the olinex 1.40 hardspl and then try to replace the .nbh file with the third link in the second post, the unsigned 1.93SPL and then when I hit update, it shows me in the RUU that the update version will be 1.00.** instead of 1.93 Olinex like it said 1.40 Olinex when I did that one. Is that okay? If so, now that I have the Olinex 1.40 unsigned hard SPL, can I just flash the hard spl with the replaced file without any other procedure? Something about overwrite protected...? i unno. Help? OH i can use dutty's V.4 ROM with olinex 1.40 right?

That's normal, happened to me as well. Once the process is complete and after the hard reset you can put it in bootloader mode and check that the version was updated to 1.93.

I was hoping I could figure this one out my self, but no dice.

I downloaded Unsigned-Hard-SPL-Diamond-OliNex.zip and unzipped it.
I downloaded RUU_Signed_1_93OliNex_HSPL_UnsignedEdition.zip and replaced RUU_Signed.nbh from original zip with this one.

When I run the ROMUpdateUtility.exe and go through 1st few steps I get to the screen that says:

Upgrade rom from image version 1.9...

to image version 1.00 diamond.

Shouldn't 1.00 diamond say 1.93 olinex? Reason i am thinking this is because if I just unzip Unsigned-Hard-SPL-Diamond-OliNex.zip and run the RUU in the same screen it says to image verion 1.40 olinex

After some more searching and reading (many thanks to pof !!) I managed to dump the phone ROM (RAW files and SPL) and to NBHextract the components of the shipped ROM I am using (RUU_Diamond_HTC_ITA_2.03.408.2_Radio_Signed_Diamo nd_52.51.25.26_1.09.25.23_Ship.exe).

I also compared the "01_SPL.nb" (file size 524.288 bytes) with the "SPLdumped.nb" and are actually identical.

So, as I don't see it in the stock ROM list, I attached to this post the dumped Diamond SPL version 2.03.0000.

Hope to post news soon (I am still a noob... trying to build his first ROM...).

As I decided to try a cooked ROM, but I would like to be able not to lose the warranty, I was looking for the correct procedure to "downgrade" back to the stock SPL after having used the HardSPL (searching I found many infos, but I am still confused...).

For example, to begin: Where can I find the stock SPL 2.03 that I actually have (looking around the last I found is 1.93) ? Or how can I "export it" before overwriting with Hard-SPL ? And so on...

Send it on guarantee for repair. They should swap the mainboard. And that's the fix...
Seems that they can't figure out what happened when you flash the cmda spl... No JTAG in service center then? :D

As I woke up one morning the touch screen did not respond to the touching anymore. I did a soft and a hard reset, the result is the same. The touch screen is not a touch screen anymore, the keys work but i cannot go ahead to calibrate the display and so on. I can install ROM, Radio and SPL only from the tri-colour screen now. From the TRI-COLOUR SCREEN, for warranty, I have installed the original ROM, the original Radio and the original 1.37 SPL (copied the 1.37 .nbh file into Unsigned-Hard-SPL-Diamond-OliNex). It goes to 100%, it is successfull but after the soft reset, in the tri-colour screen, i see SPL 1.40 OliNex. I supose that if I send it to warranty they will ship it back and not repair it. Is there any way to install the original SPL over the SPL 1.40 OliNex from the tri-colour screen? In active sync i have done it like a million times, it has worked.

I have the exact same problem. I installed HardSPL 1.40 but kept the original rom and radio, then my touch screen stopped responding. I installed the original 1.37 found on page 39, but it still shows up as 1.40OliNex. Anyone know how to fix this?

I don't use windows, so will updating the spl work if I name the file DIAMIMG.nbf? That method works for radios and roms, but never tried an spl and I'm a little scared :)

So here is my problem. I wanted to flash a english rom on my diamond, coz mein has a german one. So I upgrade to Hard SPL at first.(Hard SPL 1.40 OliNex), and tried to upgrade Radio, but sofar I haven't managed it.
Everytime I run DiamondCustomRUU.exe with any Radio, an Error message apears.

'The Application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135.)'

Does the Error appear, because I have install a developer Edition Hard SPL and tried to upgrade a signed Radio?
How can I revert my SPL to stock SPL? I have flashed neither a rom nor a radio yet.

After some more searching and reading (many thanks to pof !!) I managed to dump the phone ROM (RAW files and SPL) and to NBHextract the components of the shipped ROM I am using (RUU_Diamond_HTC_ITA_2.03.408.2_Radio_Signed_Diamo nd_52.51.25.26_1.09.25.23_Ship.exe).

I also compared the "01_SPL.nb" (file size 524.288 bytes) with the "SPLdumped.nb" and are actually identical.

So, as I don't see it in the stock ROM list, I attached to this post the dumped Diamond SPL version 2.03.0000.

Hope to post news soon (I am still a noob... trying to build his first ROM...).

I have tried a million times to put HardSPL both from Olinex and the 1.24 , The same problem happens all the time. The phone sync with active sync , can flash original HTC rom , but with any of the hardSPL the phone disconnects after turning black and after a few minutes I get the error message 260 , the phone is not connected. The PC cant recognize the USB device before this happenes.
I`ve tried to run SSPL manually, i`ve tried 4 computers and different USB.

For me it seems like the new SPL 2.03 blockes any attempt of putting something non-stock on my phone Anyway to bypass this???

I have a question which I think is probably a noob one, but I have searched the forums and the web for hours now and cannot find the answer to this...

I have Apple Macbook Pro, run XP Pro with updates and latest framework within VMWare Fusion, and a stock UK T-Mobile DIAM200 with stock SPL 1.37.

When I try to install OliNex 1.40 Hard SPL (UNSIGNED) onto my device I get a spectacular crash, straight after the device's screen goes black and the usual disconnection occurs. I see the 0% progress bar in XP, but then suddenly XP dies so badly that I get a blue screen within the VM window, and it reboots itself! Obviously Mac OS X is unaffected, as this is all happening inside the VM. I have also tried this from a Bootcamp partition running same XP setup (actual XP, not within a VM), but there seems to be something wrong with that too, as ActiveSync doesn't want to connect to my device, even though it's on v4.5 and I have tried the usual deleting connections, disabling Advanced Networking etc. Frustrating!

So my question is this. I know ROMs can be flashed from the Internal Storage, renaming the NBH to DIAMIMG, but what about the HardSPL? Besides the NBH file, it has the SSPL-Manual.exe, which I understand you can run from the device, before running the RUU from XP side. But is there a way to kick off the HardSPL NBH from Internal Memory while running SSPL-Manual.exe?

In essence, can I flash HardSPL onto the device from Internal Memory, like a ROM NBH? I.e. can I just rename the HardSPL's RUU_Signed.nbh to DIAMIMG.NBH, copy it to the device's IM, and try to flash it that way? Has anybody tried this?

1. you do not need to upgrade radio in order to change language
2. can you boot your diamond - even if it is german? is it working?
3. you have hardspl - thats great, now look for a WWE (world wide english) ROM - try the one in my signature

1. you cannot hardspl from internal storage
2. don't use VM - known to have issues.
3. whats the status of your diamond right now? can you boot - working fine?

what you can try is this:
1. use Win XP (actual XP) and go to bootloader of your diamond (don't connect it as yet). bootloader = soft rest and keep the volume down key pressed
2. check what it says in the tri-color screen - what's the SPL?
try running the CustomRUU for 1.40 unsigned hardspl from Oli and see what happens...

Hello guys!

I don’t know if this is the right thread, but since there is so much people flashing stuff here I decided to write here.

Since two days I’m trying to force an official Worldwide English or Europe English ROM into my device (official HTC WWW site ROM from 2009-02-27). With no success.

My device is an unbranded HTC Touch Diamond bought in Poland in an electronic shop. No operator stuff on the device.

At the moment there is no ROM update available on the polish HTC Support site. They just don’t care about the polish costumers. This is why I’m trying to force an English ROM into my device. Since I’m not able to download the ROMs from the HTC Europe and UK sites using my S/N I used the S/N provided on the forums to download the WWE and Europe ROMs from the HTC support sites.

And this is where the problems start. First of all I’m unable the flash the device using the downloaded executables (PDA Phone ROM Update Utility 3.21.4.3). The utility starts, checks my PDA info and then tries to flash the ROM from Image Version 1.93.479.3 to Image Version 2.03.401.3 (I’m trying to flash the “RUU_Diamond_HTC_Europe_2.03.401.3_Radio_Signed_Di amond_52.51.25.26_1.09.25.23_Ship.exe” version of the ROM downloaded from HTC). The device boots up, then a progress bar appears and when it reaches 1% the device reboots and the booting utility on the PC says “ERROR [294]: INVALID VENDOR ID This Update Utility cannot be used for your PDA Phone. Please check your update utility”. The process ends.

The same thing goes for the WWE version of the ROM (RUU_Diamond_HTC_WWE_2.03.405.3_Radio_Signed_Diamo nd_52.51.25.26_1.09.25.23_Ship.exe).

I also tried the internal storage method described in this thread - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2707841&postcount=4035
With no success. The process ends with a “00028002 Not allow” massage on the boot screen.

When rebooting my device with the Volume Down button pressed the bootup screen says:

For that I updated the Bootloader to 1.40.OliNex -this udate runs fine and I can see it in the bootloader mode.

But what sould I do now to update the firmware to the desired version ???
Where can I get the firmwarefile (na chance to get it from the HTC page without the rigth ser-nr :-((

Can not flash SPL's via internal. If you want to switch from 1.40 Hard SPL to something else, use Jump SPL. This can be found in my signature section below.

Might be obvious for experts, but a few tips for people upgrading from HardSPL 1.40 -> 1.93.

- The 1.93 file is quite small and called:
RUU_Signed_1_93OliNex_HSPL_UnsignedEdition.zip

- The above 1.93 zip does not contain the tools you will need to update your HardSPL, and do not try using CustumRUU.exe that will run, but doesnt actually update anything.. instead download the old 1.40 version of HardSPL, and ninja all the files out of that, stick them in a new folder, and just replace the .nbh file with the one in the 1.93 zip (its called RUU_Signed.nbh).

Note: You dont need to upgrade HardSPL really, Im only upgrading because the Win 6.5 im running keeps hard-resetting itself (reeeeally annoying), and the new Hard SPL is supposed to fix the issue.

Running MTTY with OliPro (SPL-3.20) I cannot get Task 29 to run: just pops back to CMD> with no error message.

Now i can't install any hardspl i have tried because it gives me connection error and stucks to 0% . I also can't install any previous original SPL like 1.93 having the same problem... hi all, as you know I'm a rom developer, in reality from years, practically in the htc world a bit more than 1 year

anyway the problem is that my diamond, after a simple reset, when boots it stays ALL black, it starts because I see in the background the lamp but nothing is shown in the classic small red characters (right-bottom corner)... such as rom ver, radio, etc...

I can boot in the bootloader (hspl 1.93 devel) but it's not possible to flash anything (radio, rom, whatever)... neither re-flash any other hard-spl version... it simply stays at 0% (I waited of course)

I'm able to connect trough mtty, I tried task 29 & it works (binfs formatted), task 28 instead stuck at nothing... without errors, anything

I noticed that making a classic hard-reset doesn't give errors but it takes just few seconds (2/3) while it should take 20/30 seconds

doing a full hard-reset, like above just 2/3 seconds to format main memory, while it proceeds regular while formatting the storage card (takes some seconds)

another thing is that when turning-on from a complete off it doesn't vibrate... & when I am in the boot loader if I make a reset simply it turns off and the only way to turn-on again is to take off the battery & re-insert then turn-on

I'm totally lost, I spent about a whole afternoon to try almost everything & nothing has changed... any other idea?? thx

Dude... thanks a lot... completed the flash... but seems it shows 1.40 instead of 1.93.... should I be concerned?

Also my main purpose of upgrading my HardSPL from 1.24 to 1.93 is to fix this problem:

I need help guys.
I have diamond 2g(diam140) without front camera.
I bought a second hand diamond which was security locked, sim locked and had hard spl 1.40olinex.
Today i tried to upgrade to unsigned 1.93. I used normal ruu to flash it which i even used to flash roms.
After that i realised that my network is not showing any longer. It detects my sim card and shows sim services but does not show network. What happened. I have latest radio also.
What did i do wrong and how do i fix it?
Please tell me as i have no other phone other than this and need to get it working asap.

if you have unsigned hardspl, you'll need to use the SSPL package (i.e. the package posted at the beginning of this thread), just replace the NBH file with one of these stock SPLs.

if you have signed hardspl, just go ahead and flash with normal RUU process (no overwrite protection in that one, as it is already only accepting htchackers signed files, there was no need for that).

edit: some people apparently can't figure it out or read the whole thread, so to save trouble, please read the following:

STEP BY STEP HOW TO RETURN TO STOCK SPL - FOR WARRANTY REASONS ONLY!

0. be sure to first restore stock OS, and stock radio. stock SPL is always to be done last!!

Hard-SPL 1.40 Olinex I already installed, but my touch display broke and have to return to stock SPL for warranty. I tried all the solutions on this thread, nothing worked . I want to try "Jump SSPL" but I did not understand the procedure and if it is a good solution.

I had the same problem. I could also tell it was not working, because after the boot it would only be a soft reset, instead of the hard reset supposed to happen.

The issue is that I was using the Custom RUU to do it. I found the solution below from adsoxda on page 44 (or 46) of this trhread. Good luck.

Might be obvious for experts, but a few tips for people upgrading from HardSPL 1.40 -> 1.93.

- The 1.93 file is quite small and called:
RUU_Signed_1_93OliNex_HSPL_UnsignedEdition.zip

- The above 1.93 zip does not contain the tools you will need to update your HardSPL, and do not try using CustumRUU.exe that will run, but doesnt actually update anything.. instead download the old 1.40 version of HardSPL, and ninja all the files out of that, stick them in a new folder, and just replace the .nbh file with the one in the 1.93 zip (its called RUU_Signed.nbh).

Note: You dont need to upgrade HardSPL really, Im only upgrading because the Win 6.5 im running keeps hard-resetting itself (reeeeally annoying), and the new Hard SPL is supposed to fix the issue.

super, I did it. :)
I had a problem, I updated the program through the htc.com. I had the original SPL 2.03.0 ... and I can not use other ROMs.

I've used Unsigned-Hard-SPL-Diamond-OliNex, I had to use a method SSpl-maual...now is fine :)

This! is the most unusable How to I have ever seen. For a non-geek who does not play with such things for 16 hours a day it is completly unintelligibly. Step 3 describes that the user should select the spl of its choice .... but in the attachments there is only one file with spl in its name!?!?!?!?!??????

after flashing the "Unsigned-Hard-SPL-Diamond-OliNex.zip " SPL my SIM Card is not accepted anymore. Why this? After flashing the SPL I flashed the energy rom and again no sim is recognized. My device is a touch diamond german endition.

Is there a solution? The sim itselve works.

firstly i must say that i have trying to flash the Radio-ROM from this Post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=580490 , but it gets an Error and then an ROM Code Error. ( That was not my first flash^^)

Before i have trying to flash i have flashed the " Gen.y R2 D4.1B German ROM, and it works great

i have many Problems with this,

i have tried to flash back the Stock-SPL from this Post,
but after that, the Bootloader showing me that die Olinex 1.93 Hard-SPL is allready installed, now i can´t flash any Custom ROM, Only the lastest Vodafone GER ROM and the original HTC 2.03er ROM.

I have tried this:

1. I have flash back to the Stock ROM and Radio from Vodafone.

2. Now i downloaded and flash the " RUU_Signed_SPL193stock "
(I think that was the best Version for me)

3. After the Flash, that was succesfull, i go back to the Bootloader, but he shows me the Hard-SPL Olinex 1.93 ?!? Why???

4. Now i have trying to flash the Gen.y R2D4.1 German ROM from the PC over the Windows Mobile Device Center. (Windows 7 Pro)

5. The flashing was stopped by 17 % and gets me an Error Code "262"

6. After that, i have installed first, the STock ROM again and then i have flash the "RUU_Signed135stocksigned", but nothing happen with the Bootloader, it shows me again the "Olinex Hard-SPL 1.93"


What is wrong with my Diamond?

Now i trying " MTTY " but it gets me " USB Port can not open"

Use

Unsigned-Hard-SPL-Diamond-OliNex, and method SSPL-maual, copy SSPL on your diamond and run it from there manually...

Or try to search JUMP SPL tool or something called like that, and with it flash your stock spl or whateva!

For mtty tools you have to put your phone in usb trigger mode, use button search to find how to do it, or simple go in diamond WIKI and you'll found all this thing well explained!

it's no problemm it shows on your computer 1.00 diamond but after flashing you'll see 1.930 olinex in bootloader i tried it and it worked so just do it

So I have an HTC Touch Diamond GSM (DIAM 110)

I want to restore my phone to stock settings. I have done hard reset.

I have an issue where my phone hangs on the "touch diamond" screen. I can get into the boot loader and load (some) stock spls. (Others including stock HTC RUU give error)

When I load stock SPL, phone resets, but upon reset it shows OLINEX still.

What can I do???

I was going from 1.40 to 1.93 and I still see 1.40 with a Hard reset.

The OS is the one which was already loaded, but with a hard reset. mine loaded the cooked ROM I have been using.

I had the same when i used a customRUU.
Then tried another method, posted previously in this thread.

Copy the full folder which has all teh files... ROMUpdateUtility.exe, ROMUpdateUtility.cfg.... and replace the RUU_Signed.nbh with the HSPL 1.93. It flashed, OK, but I got a hard reset and it still reads 1.40 :confused: Any help....

I have had several HTC phones, and currently have an HTC Diamond DIAM130 which is branded for Telstra in Australia. It has a modified radio to work with HSDPA 850Mhz. Whenever I install a HardSPL and a custom ROM, I find I have significant slowness issues, particularly when receiving calls and SMS. When I revert back to the official HTC WWE Telstra release, named RUU_Diamond_Telstra_WWE_2.07.841.2_Radio_Signed_Di amond_52.51.25.26_1.09.25.23_Ship, it upgrades the SPL as part of it to 2.07.0000, and there are no speed issues at all. Is it possible or likely that my phone requires the extra features in the newer SPL to run reliably? And if so, is it possible to have a HardSPL 2.07 if I can give you any of the required files and information? Or should I risk having a custom ROM without HardSPL (if that's possible, never tried)?
Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

Sigh, I never thought I'd be the idiot out of the bunch, lol. I recently got my Diamond HTC and then I decided to follow the instructions (albeit badly) and unplugged it when the screen was black (DUH!) and now it's screwed; it won't turn on etc., and I know it's my fault for being a douche.

I can't even get it to run past 0%. I've tried this one as well as jockys and neither of them will work for me. My phone either freezes up or won't even start the process. I followed the instructions. My screen wouldn't even go black after starting the update utility. I tried putting the SSPL Manual on my card and launching that off the phone but it just freezes after the loader icon comes up. Is it maybe that I put it on my micro sd card or something? Can anyone help me out here?

It's currently got rom Y D2 series by yozgatg (XDA) R4.2: on it (2.11 Gen Y)

1. Have installed Hard SPL 1.4 unsigned

2. Tried to install DiamonCustomRUU.exe 1.20 OLINEX

3. got 'flash error' so worried about bricking so immediatly put 2.11 Gen Y back on it

4. tried copying DiamUnlock to device and running it but it just give 'wrong radio' error

where am I going wrong?

So I need some advice on if a SPL on this Diamond will work or not.

My Diamond is running 1.93 Olinex fine and a friend of mine got his Diamond about a year ago and wants to flash custom ROMS to it. When I took a look at his SPL version and other data it is different from my phone:

His SPL: SPL-2.03.0000 and then another difference is "PSOC-Diam STAGE_PVT v0.32".
Mine reads: SPL-1.93.Olinex "PSOC-Diam STAGE_PVT v0.30".

Is it safe to put the 1.93 SPL on his device? What does the SPL control? And what is the second line?
