G3 - G4 Rom List

Ok...this is what I have...I have a G3 Wizard and my husband has a G4 Wizard. I have managed to unlock SIMS and CID unlock both our phones. I have managed to put new roms on both phones. I went with safe clean roms and now I want roms with more "bells and whisles". My problem is I can't figure out when looking at all the roms out there which one is a G3 or G4 (mainly G4). I was able to tell with my first G4 because it clearly stated "only OS and splash". As I read through all this there are two extensions a .nbh and a .nbf. The .nbf seems to be for the G4 phones. I realize the G3 has much more roms out there but if a rom doesn't state "OS and Splash Only" or "Ok for G4" how does one tell?

Here is my list of Roms (took a while to download):

Ryncppr v5 (downloading now, not sure)

Artemis Touch 4.02 (nk.nbh)
Dutty's Diamond V1 (nk.nbh)
ConfusedStu Mobile Vista 1.3 (nk.nbh)

WM6.1 Diamond "clean" - This is G4 (nk.nbf)
WM6.1 SNN Diamond 3.1- This is G4 (nk.nbf)
WM6.1 SNN Diamond 6.1 - This is G4 (nk.nbf)

Now reading more into this forum, it has been said that the newer wm6 and 6.1 roms are being created to be safe with both G3 and G4 but I have not found that to be true.

Could we start of list of what roms are G3, G4 or safe for both? I think this would help all of us who are so excited to unlock, SIM/CID their phones and now aren't quite sure of what roms we could switch in and out to.

All latest wm6 wm6.1 custom build roms are safe for both G3 and G4 versions,they Don't have any IPL/SPL included in them,read the Rom threads and instructions posted there carefully,you have all your answers there.Now no specific G3 or G4 roms are build seperately.Just to give you a couple of examples,check this out:-

General Notes: (Please Read before updating)


-Remove SD card while updating.

- the two bluetooth icons on the tray launch, you can open their menus by double click or click and hold.

- Before asking, give us your edition (professional or TouchFLO...)

- if your rom has PIMBackup older than 2.5, install PIMBackup 2.5 and do the backup via it.

- SMSDrFix not activated, you have to open it to replace the numbers with their contact name on messages.

- If you open Advanced Config, the battery icon on the tray launch will disappear, you have to restore it using Advanced Config.

- There is no IPL, SPL, ... JUST OS and splashes, so i think its safe for G4 users.

- Radio 2.19.11 UK more stable and fewest issues and no missed calls.

- You MUST have an IPL and SPL at 2.xx or higher (BOTH not just one or the other).

Final Note:

I accept no responsibility for any damages that maybe done onto your phone by using/attemping to use this ROM. This ROM has been flashed succesfully onto my CID & SIM locked G4 using SoftSPL.The nk.nbf file only contains OS and splash screens. No IPL/SPL. So it is G4 safe. Please read the "READ ME" file included in flashing tools. If you are new to flashing I strongly recommend reading the stickies in regards to flashing a new rom onto your device in order to avoid any damages.

There's no need to list separate Roms for G3 or G4,coz there are none specific for each device !!! Even official carrier roms are build with containing IPL/SPL for both the devices in a single package.Roms are the same for both G3 and G4,only upgrading procedure is different for both.
