I'm testing my little knowledge on cooking, and i'm starting to modify the HTC official WM6.1 Spanish ROM to make it slight, deleting unnecesary apps and customizing for my like. Don't expect so much at this time, cause i'm still learning, but i'd like to make this ROM in gratefulness to this forum and to all ppl have helped me... So you can view this like the starting of a project.

The core of this ROM is 3.29.412.0 the same as HTC WM6.1 official. For now i'm going to try all my efforts with this version, cause for me is enough stable, and the only one working 100% fine with my BT Hands Free WV system, and this point is very important for me. don't discard to make an hybrid version later, but translations are so hard....

I'd like to know if someone interested in a spanish lite ROM, and what apps to put out of the ROM and make CABs for... i accept sugestions and recomendatios and feedback. I'd like to make a stable and slight spanish ROM for spanish users, and of course, this is a way to continuing learning...

I have started taking out of the ROM AutoUpdate, Catalog, WorldCard, Windows Lile and HTCHome (i preffer SPB Mobile Shell)... and modified the default CommManager to Schaps style (i preffer 12 buttom quickly than 9 default slow). Inisit that this is a first approach to a lite spanish version, so if you have sugestions, write here what do you like this ROM would be ;)

This is only OS ROM, so put the Radio ROM of your choice, but one WM6.1 HTC Official compatible. If you don't know about this, take a look here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=393182 before start.

Of course, take care having HardSPL before flash any ROM (including this one) in your Kaiser. Take a look here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=396922.

Time for V2. No mayor improvements, only take out of the ROM Adobe Acrobat LE and User experience app. And put into the ROM Total Commander spanish 2.5 version (i love this file manager...). Added the tweak to allow apps to run without trusted cert. Added the Acrobat CAB to second post.

Time for V3. Continuing with the Lite proccess, i take out of the ROM HTC Task Manager (taskmgr.exe), HTC X-Buttom 1.51 (preffer batteryStatus task manager) and HTC Zip (Total Commander can handle the ZIP files better ;) ). Deleted the SqlCEMobile (SQL Server for Mobile platform) and SQM package too and added to the ROM Dotfred Task Manager (i love this utility...you can find in Programas/System folder). Added the X-Buttom and HTC Zip CABs to second post.

After some busy time (and family time, of course...) i make a new version of my light spanish ROM, cause V4 was not the one i use. For me is too light, so i start from scratch again, and make a V5 with the following changes.

- ADDED HTC Home again, now that iGO 8 works fine with HTC Home
- ADDED Audio Manager that integrates with HTC Home and is enough lighter for me.
- ADDED Office 6.1 and One Note. Sometimes i need to open a word or excel file, so i put this on.
- ADDED Acrobat Reader back (sometimes someone sends me a PDF and i need to read)
- REMOVED Ciberon Voice Speed Dial (I never use this one....)
- ADDED Button 6 linked to Comm Manager (You can easy change this link)
- UPDATE Total Commander 2.51 version
- UPDATE dotFred Task Manager 3.1 version
- UC 2.0 Compliant (thanks to Sleuth). Refer to this thread for more info on how customize your ROM after Hard Reset, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=366337
- ADDED Today Agenda 1.1. This is a substitute for Today Calendar, removed from today, with lot of functions... i love this one...
- ADDED WM6 Sound Scheme
- Some tweaks i do after every Hard Reset: Enable ClearType, Disable Error Reporting, Beam Disabled and Security warnings when installing non-certified application Disabled.
- WITHOUT CHANGE I left in the Schaps 12 button Comm Manager, NetCF 2.0 cooked into the ROM (i added the NetCF 3.5 in second post), CEIPUI and notifications removed, HTC X-Buttom 1.51 removed and HTC Zip too (Total Commander can handle the ZIP files better), SqlCEMobile (SQL Server for Mobile platform) and SQM package deleted, AutoUpdate, Catalog, WorldCard, Windows Lile Removed too.

So the result is the ROM better suites my needs...

In place of 1 congratulations on your idea of making a rom lite,

I can recommend a radio that works well for spanish because they sometimes make a call and connects me but not hear the conversation, which I have to retry the call,
Another problem I have is that it takes a long time to get satellites ...

An if you can ask sakajati how he managed to correct the "no text if cleartype enabled on landscape mode" bug, that would make it a very good ROM.
Most people use HTC Home, I would leave it in, it can be disabled.
The camera included on the new ROM works very well, I have taken a few test pictures and compared them to the 5.04 camera.

Haven't tested your CAB file, but attached is the one tested by me and working fine with this spanish ROM...

The ZIP file contain a CAB for installing the application and another ZIP with links to execute in landscape for video and images...

hi jcespi2005 good to see you started cooking your thread on how to dump and recunstruct a rom were the bases my mutly language Coffie rom for prophet now I'm making a Diamond like rom also multylanguage but this time will be for prophet and kaiser.. it will be in spanish too but it will not be clean so I'm shure that what you are cooking will be realy good for people that like to choose what they install and don't want lots of apps they never use.

So what soft to make the benchmark? anyway i don't think the results are going to be the bests one, cuase the ROM have no tweaks, but have curiosity :D

Otherwise, try KaiserTweak to see what improvements and tweaks does in the registry to apply on your ROM

The hardware is all the same on kaisers for the most part, so it shouldn't matter. At least i'm assuming that is what you are asking. My spanish isn't particularly fantastic ;)

I hope you have HardSPL to flash again to V1 or other ROM.

I'm using an AT&T TILT which was previously unlocked . I sold the phone to my uncle and was asked to " translate the phone to Spanish " so that he could use it... hence I gave your ROM a try to see how it would fare. The translation of the overall interface seems to be pretty flawless but the fact that there is nothing on the home screen aside from calendar is rather annoying , specially taking into consideration that I'm coming from duty's rom which was packed with shortcuts on its homescreen. Suggestions ? Am I doing anything wrong ? Is anybody else experiencing the same problems / annoyances I am ? Thank you everyone.

mmmmmm well, for the sound issue, i suppose you have an ATT radio, and perhaps is not compatible with this HTC based ROM, so look in the Wiki for the proper radio.

About the interface, as i say in the first post, this is a project to a Lite ROM, so it will be as clean as posible, so don't expect a wonderfull home, just a clean one....

Thank you very much JCEspi for your effort. I have flashed V3 (I need Office), and at first I had several problems (it was slow, camera didn't work...). Everything seem to be fine once I change the radio to 1.58.25.17 as suggested.

Now I am installing all my stuff... By the way, if you are still thinking about making more versions and tweaks, it would be a great help for all of us if the new versions could be UC. Otherwise, at least for me, it is a hard work to flash continously and try the new versions.

I'm testing my little knowledge on cooking, and i'm starting to modify the HTC official WM6.1 Spanish ROM to make it slight, deleting unnecesary apps and customizing for my like. Don't expect so much at this time, cause i'm still learning, but i'd like to make this ROM in gratefulness to this forum and to all ppl have helped me... So you can view this like the starting of a project.

Compre recientemente un HTC 6800 (Titan) por el GSP ademas que lo saco la compañia Movilnet aqui en Venezuela, he estado leyendo en los foros pero no existe una rom en español, la mayoria de los usuarios estan poniendole una rom es ingles de la compañia Spring de USA conjuntamente con la radio 3.42.30, que activa el gps, pero te deja el windows mobile en ingles... segun se ahi varias personas que quieren desarrollar una rom para actualizar el pda de movilnet, mi pregunta es como puedo ayudar a ese desarrollo, se algo de programacion pero no a este nivel, seria que nos puedes prestar apoyo?
esta donde he averiguado, ahi que buscar una rom (6.1, preferiblemente) para comenzar a desarrollarla, luego los programas, los os estan hechos para cada pda especificamente? o si consigo un os 6.1 en español de otro telefono puedo usarlo como base para la rom del titan?
segun he revisado se debe trabajar con visual C++, mas o menos lo manejo, aunque no tengo mucha practica...

Es muy dificil hacer la rom?

The truth is that I congratulate you for your work, I tried a couple of versions of yourself and where better.
My team is Comentarte Kayser 100 and you have installed WM6.1 Spanish Cooked ROM (Lite Concept Approach V5.3 and after install several radios at the end which is the better I will update radio officer at & t 1.65.21.18.
However one thing that happens to me and I think this is my team, is that it has half of conversation regardless of where the call is cut off without notice, although not always happen. I think the problem is when these changes with a call and a band GPRS or UMTS or indiscriminately.
For the rest all too well the truth, fast, stable, rarely crashes and it happens that I do not think q is the rom if not in default on the radio but I think my team is that bad.

Por lo demás todo muy bien la verdad, rápido, estable, pocas veces se cuelga y esto que me pasa no creo q sea por la rom si no en su defecto por la radio pero creo que es mi equipo que esta mal.

The core of this ROM is 3.29.412.0 the same as HTC WM6.1 official. For now i'm going to try all my efforts with this version, cause for me is enough stable, and the only one working 100% fine with my BT Hands Free WV system, and this point is very important for me. don't discard to make an hybrid version later, but translations are so hard....

I'd like to know if someone interested in a spanish lite ROM, and what apps to put out of the ROM and make CABs for... i accept sugestions and recomendatios and feedback. I'd like to make a stable and slight spanish ROM for spanish users, and of course, this is a way to continuing learning...

I have started taking out of the ROM AutoUpdate, Catalog, WorldCard, Windows Lile and HTCHome (i preffer SPB Mobile Shell)... and modified the default CommManager to Schaps style (i preffer 12 buttom quickly than 9 default slow). Inisit that this is a first approach to a lite spanish version, so if you have sugestions, write here what do you like this ROM would be ;)

This is only OS ROM, so put the Radio ROM of your choice, but one WM6.1 HTC Official compatible. If you don't know about this, take a look here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=393182 before start.

Of course, take care having HardSPL before flash any ROM (including this one) in your Kaiser. Take a look here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=396922.

Time for V2. No mayor improvements, only take out of the ROM Adobe Acrobat LE and User experience app. And put into the ROM Total Commander spanish 2.5 version (i love this file manager...). Added the tweak to allow apps to run without trusted cert. Added the Acrobat CAB to second post.

Continuing with the Lite proccess, i take out of the ROM HTC Task Manager (taskmgr.exe), HTC X-Buttom 1.51 (preffer batteryStatus task manager) and HTC Zip (Total Commander can handle the ZIP files better ;) ). Deleted the SqlCEMobile (SQL Server for Mobile platform) and SQM package too and added to the ROM Dotfred Task Manager (i love this utility...you can find in Programas/System folder). Added the X-Buttom and HTC Zip CABs to second post.

After some busy time (and family time, of course...) i make a new version of my light spanish ROM, cause V4 was not the one i use. For me is too light, so i start from scratch again, and make a V5 with the following changes.

- ADDED HTC Home again, now that iGO 8 works fine with HTC Home
- ADDED Audio Manager that integrates with HTC Home and is enough lighter for me.
- ADDED Office 6.1 and One Note. Sometimes i need to open a word or excel file, so i put this on.
- ADDED Acrobat Reader back (sometimes someone sends me a PDF and i need to read)
- REMOVED Ciberon Voice Speed Dial (I never use this one....)
- ADDED Button 6 linked to Comm Manager (You can easy change this link)
- UPDATE Total Commander 2.51 version
- UPDATE dotFred Task Manager 3.1 version
- UC 2.0 Compliant (thanks to Sleuth). Refer to this thread for more info on how customize your ROM after Hard Reset, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=366337
- ADDED Today Agenda 1.1. This is a substitute for Today Calendar, removed from today, with lot of functions... i love this one...
- ADDED WM6 Sound Scheme
- Some tweaks i do after every Hard Reset: Enable ClearType, Disable Error Reporting, Beam Disabled and Security warnings when installing non-certified application Disabled.
- WITHOUT CHANGE I left in the Schaps 12 button Comm Manager, NetCF 2.0 cooked into the ROM (i added the NetCF 3.5 in second post), CEIPUI and notifications removed, HTC X-Buttom 1.51 removed and HTC Zip too (Total Commander can handle the ZIP files better), SqlCEMobile (SQL Server for Mobile platform) and SQM package deleted, AutoUpdate, Catalog, WorldCard, Windows Lile Removed too.

So the result is the ROM better suites my needs...

About signal problems, try to put 3G mode OFF in commmanager and only activate when you need to download something, this keep you con GSM instelad off automatic changing.

Installed v53 in TYTN II and seems great, hoever I must be missing somethig as it does not sync with VISTA. XP syncs well though.

Installed netcf 3.5 with no improvement with the syncing problem, link to office is broken in first post, but installed it following eltoro's link and no improvement neither.

My Diamond syncs OK in same VISTA

Installed netcf 3.5 with no improvement with the syncing problem, link to office is broken in first post, but installed it following eltoro's link and no improvement neither.

yes, 6.1.6965.
As stated Diamond syncs ok in same vista & TYTN with v5.3 syncs OK with XP, but no with Vista.

Seems to me like a driver issue, but is just an idea.

Added: when I connect my diamond to vista I get an option in Diamond to select between ActiveSync or "Unidad de disco", this doesn´t show up on the TYTN II with v5.3

FEEDBCAK: i am testing your ROM now and its great!, the only things thats i dislike are the clock font in the HTC home (maybe you can post a way to revert it or a file without reinstalling HTC Home to the original) and that thing called "i always cant remember the name", but when you perform a softreset always jump a bubble and ask your country for setup the phone (maybe you cant disable by default instead delete it)....

other thing that i was unable to use was messenger, i install the cab, also the cab install windows live, but when i try to setup my account the mail field is blocked, only password field can be edited.

apparently there is something wrong with the password, on the 5.3 version, when i use the password listed it only extracts the .exe file, and not the RUU

Hi i have installed in my kayser this rom

but i have a litle problem with my kayser.

is very slowly and i don't have any connection with the wifi, when i activate wifi, i have signal but don't connect correctly because my PPC say the passw is wrong...

i can put the new rom?
what is the best for the kayser in spanish lenguage??

I'm testing my little knowledge on cooking, and i'm starting to modify the HTC official WM6.1 Spanish ROM to make it slight, deleting unnecesary apps and customizing for my like. Don't expect so much at this time, cause i'm still learning, but i'd like to make this ROM in gratefulness to this forum and to all ppl have helped me... So you can view this like the starting of a project.

The core of this ROM is 3.29.412.0 the same as HTC WM6.1 official. For now i'm going to try all my efforts with this version, cause for me is enough stable, and the only one working 100% fine with my BT Hands Free WV system, and this point is very important for me. don't discard to make an hybrid version later, but translations are so hard....

I'd like to know if someone interested in a spanish lite ROM, and what apps to put out of the ROM and make CABs for... i accept sugestions and recomendatios and feedback. I'd like to make a stable and slight spanish ROM for spanish users, and of course, this is a way to continuing learning...

I have started taking out of the ROM AutoUpdate, Catalog, WorldCard, Windows Lile and HTCHome (i preffer SPB Mobile Shell)... and modified the default CommManager to Schaps style (i preffer 12 buttom quickly than 9 default slow). Inisit that this is a first approach to a lite spanish version, so if you have sugestions, write here what do you like this ROM would be ;)

This is only OS ROM, so put the Radio ROM of your choice, but one WM6.1 HTC Official compatible. If you don't know about this, take a look here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=393182 before start.

Of course, take care having HardSPL before flash any ROM (including this one) in your Kaiser. Take a look here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=396922.

Time for V2. No mayor improvements, only take out of the ROM Adobe Acrobat LE and User experience app. And put into the ROM Total Commander spanish 2.5 version (i love this file manager...). Added the tweak to allow apps to run without trusted cert. Added the Acrobat CAB to second post.

Time for V3. Continuing with the Lite proccess, i take out of the ROM HTC Task Manager (taskmgr.exe), HTC X-Buttom 1.51 (preffer batteryStatus task manager) and HTC Zip (Total Commander can handle the ZIP files better ;) ). Deleted the SqlCEMobile (SQL Server for Mobile platform) and SQM package too and added to the ROM Dotfred Task Manager (i love this utility...you can find in Programas/System folder). Added the X-Buttom and HTC Zip CABs to second post.

After some busy time (and family time, of course...) i make a new version of my light spanish ROM, cause V4 was not the one i use. For me is too light, so i start from scratch again, and make a V5 with the following changes.

- ADDED HTC Home again, now that iGO 8 works fine with HTC Home
- ADDED Audio Manager that integrates with HTC Home and is enough lighter for me.
- ADDED Office 6.1 and One Note. Sometimes i need to open a word or excel file, so i put this on.
- ADDED Acrobat Reader back (sometimes someone sends me a PDF and i need to read)
- REMOVED Ciberon Voice Speed Dial (I never use this one....)
- ADDED Button 6 linked to Comm Manager (You can easy change this link)
- UPDATE Total Commander 2.51 version
- UPDATE dotFred Task Manager 3.1 version
- UC 2.0 Compliant (thanks to Sleuth). Refer to this thread for more info on how customize your ROM after Hard Reset, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=366337
- ADDED Today Agenda 1.1. This is a substitute for Today Calendar, removed from today, with lot of functions... i love this one...
- ADDED WM6 Sound Scheme
- Some tweaks i do after every Hard Reset: Enable ClearType, Disable Error Reporting, Beam Disabled and Security warnings when installing non-certified application Disabled.
- WITHOUT CHANGE I left in the Schaps 12 button Comm Manager, NetCF 2.0 cooked into the ROM (i added the NetCF 3.5 in second post), CEIPUI and notifications removed, HTC X-Buttom 1.51 removed and HTC Zip too (Total Commander can handle the ZIP files better), SqlCEMobile (SQL Server for Mobile platform) and SQM package deleted, AutoUpdate, Catalog, WorldCard, Windows Lile Removed too.

So the result is the ROM better suites my needs...

Estoy pensando en probar tu ultima version, la V_5.3, pero querria que me dijeras como va el gasto de recursos -si es que lleva incorporada la Rom o por el contrario tengo que añadirle otra, en cuyo caso te agradeceria que me recomendases otra- Pasé de la 1.27 que traia mi Tilt a la 1.70.19.09.

Being a lite version, one of the good thing is less battery consumption, so give a try and evaluate by yourself ;)
