Flash Lite Diamond

I'm working on a flashlite diamond layout, so far this is what i've got. The signal and battery status up top should both work and the icons on the bottom scroll when you click on the far right one. Hopefully I'll be adding some more functionality to it soon. Please leave any comments or suggestions. So far only tested on the wing and you need flash lite installed.

Working on a way to disable the right click while its open, also soon an update with clock

thanks for making a flashlite version of the diamond interface. its a good beginning but i'd like to scroll the icons with a finger move instead of tapping the last icon. also the icons should have a higer resolution in the future.

fast update! unfortunately i cant open the swf anymore.. It says: check for valid SWF or valid SVG failed, aborting attempt to load content.

i hope you can fix this problem.
is the 22kb filesize correct?

EDIT: the correct filesize is 14.5kb i selected "save file as" the frist time. you must download the swf by clicking on the link instead of savefile as.

i tested this swf on my PC running in IE and it seems there are a few second ticks missing. it skipped 03,23 and so on.

Yep.
It seems to be skipping 1 sec every 16 secs, at least what I am seeing.

I used POCKET THEME MANAGER 2 in my wm2003 pocket pc, but it doesnt work so good in WM6, so i'm now using it with FLASHTHEMES...

On the other hand, the FLASHTHEMES generator doens work good with vista, so im having some problems creating a normal black TSK to use it with, lol...

btw, just tested it and the seconds jump from 2 and 2 on my htc touch dual, thats a slow ystem problem...

Tried that... apparently getting the swiping menu is easy but integrating the Phonebook and SMS is giving me some problems. I needed someone to code the native C dll files to retrieve Contacts and SMS messages and then I can integrate it into my program... :)

i tested it on a dual 2.8 with 4 gigs of ram. i don't think my system is to slow for a small SWF. ;)

Your right, its not a slow system problem...

I tested it on my PC and the hours work, you can try it yourself...
The problem is that the flash plugins out there are not good. not good at all.
In FLASHTHEMES all the SWF run at 12 frames per second with a white background, and this clock is at 24 frames per second, so it skips every one second.

I changed it to 12 fps, but it still missed a second now and then. so that can give a bug when its changing the minutes or hour images (this can be changed, im trying a few conbinations to make the code work in another way).
Also I had to place a black rectangle in a bottom layer so that it had the correct colour.

Also, this plugin only allows the SWF to be in the bottom of all the plugins or in the bottom of the screen (and so hidding any systray shortcuts you may have).

Bottom line, we need a better flash today plugin.

I'm anexing in this message the 12 fps version I made with FLASHTHEMES, you need it installed in order to use this theme.

Made a new version, the hours and minutes are no longer dependant of the seconds, so there should be no bugs now.

Hey Twolf wow great work an awesome idea for a diamond clock!!! the best ive seen so far actually the only one ive seen thats animated lol... but how would i go about actually using this cause i have a tytn 2 using htc home so what would i have to exactly do any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

you cant use this in conjunction with your htc home cuz they are two seperate plugins. if you enable both you would have two clocks showing.

flash is slow... and will always be slow... no matter that the plugin you use.
it's just easier to animate.
just compare all the cube clones out there with the one in C++...

besides.. using flash we'll never be able to custumize the clock...
pretty for now.. useless on the end of the road...

I think because we're making it in QVGA so it wouldnt be as slow and memory hunger as real VGA version :)

Yes, flash is slow in most machines, in this case you wont notice it.

I did notice that a lot of flash "players" have diferent speeds, Bryht Flash Player v2.0 is not very fast, for example, I believe then that flash is considered slow then because the players arent good.

Just a suggestion:

How about adding in a tab where the home screen would display dynamic data like stock price and stock index. Say options to allow users to set which stock price and index to show. Then click on the screen to show more details. Operate just like the weather data screen.
