Gain volume at calls?

I think the volume is to low during calls. Is there any way to fix that?

In the past I've looked for solutions to this type of problem and have never found anything other than using a headset.

Is it possible that your phone is defective? The reason I ask is that my hearing is poor and I generally have the problem you are describing with pretty much any phone (so generally, I pretty much have to use a headset.) On my Touch Dual this has not been the case and I've yet to use a headset. I do notice that when I call somebody the volume of the ringing sound I hear in the earpiece is low but when the person connects volume is fine . . .

I Don't think its defective. The volume is god mostly but when I'm outdoors or on a bus or other noisy places its difficault to hear the person I speak with.

Well then you've got me. I understand the background noise as I drive an old noisy Explorer but I don't seem to have the problem with this phone - with the Treo 750 I really had it. Sorry :(
