Stuck in headset mode?

I bought a factory refurb tilt from a guy today locally. Everything works but the earpiece. People can here me, but unless I turn on the speakerphone, I can not hear them.

I believe the phone is stuck in headset mode. I have cid/sim/security unlocked the phone as well as flashed a few roms. I read all the posts about reapeatedly inserting the headset cord to fix it. But I dont have a headset cord.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Thanks for the suggestion, but the Tilt doesn't have a 2.5mm jack, just the usb style headset plug.

Any other guesses? :):):)

UPDATE:

Sent the phone in for warranty repair, it turns out the earpiece went bad.
