Vista WMDC file sync?

Hi all,

I used to use activesync and it would sync files between the phone (my docs) and a folder on the computer. Now I have moved to WMDC and Vista and the Diamond this no longer happens - when I set the device up I ticked 'files' to be sync'd but it aint happening.

I am not using advanced USB in the connection settings as with this ticked the phone was not recognised.

Anyone got any ideas?

Yup i know how to solve the problem:

1. Computer: Go to "bluetooth places"
2. Computer: Search to your device
3. Computer: Rightclick on it and "pair"
4. Computer: "Give a digitcode"
5. Touch Diamond: Enter the same code as in 4
6. Will he connects, he ask to connect via COM4, tick "Yes"
7. Touch Diamond: Go to start - Settings - Extern GPS - Com4 -> COM3
8. Computer: Go to Windows Mobile App. Center - Settings - partnership settings - Fill in the same like on this screen (http://img519.imageshack.us/img519/2039/verbindingsinstellingennh4.jpg).
9. Touch Diamond: Go to "ActiveSync"
10. "Menu" - "Connect via Bluetooth". There will be asked to make a partnership, press "yes".
11. Tab "Devices" - Search your computer. When found, click on it - Modify - Renew - "Seriel port/ActiveSync". Tick it.
12. End
13. Reboot both devices
14. Go to "ActiveSync" on the TD. Choose for "Connect via bluetooth" and normally it will work now.

Well, I got the bluetooth sync working no problems - but still it will not sync my files :(

i think it is a setting in wmdc.

Got fed up - reinstalled Vista - got the device working using advanced networking - now it works :) Maybe it was a driver issue?

ya i got it working for my diamond too. I installed WMDC 6.1 and tried syncing..but it keep on giving me errors. I got fed up but I uninstall WMDC 6.1 and restart my pc. When vista starts, i immediately plug my diamond in and everything went fine..it sync!! And i got no idea how did WMDC went back to installed itself after i uninstalling it.
