I am quite a newbie here so i have a question:
I deleted the "My Pictures" folder from the phones memory, and now, "MY PHOTOS" from the homescreen menu shows me no photos. I want to change the directory to the "My Pictures" folder from the storage card, but i don't know how to do that.

mohanidno : You can use my kitchen, made for wm6.0 roms, but try to cook your own rom to understand "the way of cooking" before include the new xip.
Cook is a very long process, with lot and lot of errors, and lot and lot of :mad::mad: !
You can extract my neo rom with my kitchen, but all my oem packages are in windows directory, you can't remake my kitchen with a clean classification. And, cook with a cooked rom base is not a good solution, you have to restart from an official rom, for a clean/stable work.
Flash your USPL before flash your phone with a cooked rom !

weel you can simply go into \windows\Starup

and delete del TPC.lnk or modify it so it 's is invalid by adding a letter somewhere in the referring path..., by doing so if you change idea...you could just remove the letter and you would have again TPC running at startup..

well this rom is all about skinning the WM 6.0 to look better and since the Neo skin is just that...a skin... i really don't see how more pictures of the same thing will help you. Just load it and see what it does for you.

Couldn't get your black theme to download. think link is bad. Can you recommend any themes that will work with your rom, since Freddy's are not optimized? Also, can you advise if this new version allows you to change the order of things on the home page like your last version did? If so, how?

patel.dhruv : go to \Windows\StartUp and delete TPC, reboot, Tornado Power Control is not launched again.
To reload it, in Vox OC, option "put TPC at boot", reboot.

ollyk2 : thanks for tip, but with My5, you have 2 others key to edit, if you want a clean number in CMyFavesMy5.
Use VJDialer, it is a better soft for long numbers.

kaju666 : i think 6 screenshot is sufficient, if you want more screenshots, install the rom... and try it ! :confused:

patel.dhruv : with CHome Configurator, you can enable/disable panels.
Only 1 thing is customisable : "CLinks". CLinks2/CLinks3 are shortcuts to softs, like my CLinks2 ("star" in homescreen) which establishes links towards 5 softs.
You can modify CLinks2 to see how to configure with CHome Configurator.

polarbair : my black theme is deleted, but you can use Freddy's themes, because my rom is configured like a shadow rom, and Freddy's themes are optimised for shadow roms, thus for my rom.
To change order of panels on homescreen, you can use CHome Configurator.

For "threaded sms", it's not possible, it's only included in wm6.1.

But, i'm working on a wm6.1 based neo version, beta, maybe, because CMessage (on homescreen panel) is not compatible with NEO interface on wm6.1 (because of an old dll). NEO is developed for wm6.0. I'm waiting for an official uptaded NEO version on wm6.1, to port it on Vox, without bugs like CMessage.

Nice rom, but have a problem with it. I have to have the large font to be able to see (to cheap to get contacts, lol) and on previous roms I have just gone into accessability and changed fonts to large. I did it on this one too, but it hasnt made anything bigger. Is there a way to do it or do I have to go back to the previous rom?

Thanks for the amazing rom. I have one issue. I like the iPhone2 NEO Theme made by Freddy Reyes but when I install it on the v1.1 NEO ROM not all screens get the theme applied. For example the screen where you input your SIM pin code and the Call screens stay "Camel" brown. Is this an issue with the theme or with your ROM? Thanks for your reply.

I have a big problem with my Vox.
I installed this ROM and after reconfiguring it to the way I want it, I noticed that Rinku's iconbar was not displaying the network correctly. I downloaded another version of it, installed it and then rebooted. Ever since then, my phone will not boot. I gets stuck at the WM splashscreen. If I hold the power button for 2 seconds it vibrates (it does not vibrate when powering up) and shows the boot up programs loading and then shuts down.
I tried to flash from the SD card (which is FAT32 formatted) by following the instructions on the wiki, but it does nothing. It enters bootloader mode and stays at the coloured lines screen indefinitely.
Does anyone know what I could do?

If you have made a backup of all your stuff (which seems you have to...since you said you were prepared for SD flashing...) you could just hard reset your phone by holding left and right softkey while booting...well let's sey immediantly after you press the power on button!!

I think this will solve your problem since as i read your rom was working since you installed rinku's iconbar...

I am using this ROM for some time and I have a smalll problem:
When the phone powers on i get a screen that says:
Connection Setup"

The operator does not exist in the database, please contact your operator for the connection settings.

Connection setup will redirect you to the connections screen."

I googled the error and i found something like this:

"start-settings-connection-connection setup-menu-enable auto configuration. u can disable it if your country and/or operator ar not in that list."

The thing is that I can't find the "Connection setup" menu. If anyone can help me, please do :) !

You can find connection setup in the start menu itself.
Just run it, and uncheck Enable Auto Configuration in the right menu. :)

UPGRADE: UPDATE

I upgraded to your 1.1 version, very quick and responsive. Though my keypad is garbage, and casing has been beat up. I fear I will be replacing it soon. In the mean time this rom is great, way better than factory.

Even the microsoft voice command that has eluded me these past few months works without any issues.

I been using your .09 version and very happy with it.

I'll have to upgrade to this version tonight.

I'll let you know how well it works, i've beat up my vox pretty bad so my numerical keypad doesn't respond well.

I had the same problem, screen was green colored. Not sure how I fixed it, if I did a reset or if I re-flashed the software, sorry. I know that I must have done something right because its working great again.

Yup still using the neo rom, have ever since ver 0.9 I think. Love it! All I have done additionally was change the size of the fonts so my old eyes can see the text, and add Freddy's neo earth theme. Other than that, no changes and love it!

I have an other problem though: Schedy Mobile won't start anymore. It says the version won't work after Sept, 15. But the alarm I configured does go off! I can't configure/disable it anymore.

I installed this rom today and it works flawlessly, except for 2 things which are probably related

Every time I want to sign in to Live Messenger, Windows Live or try to install Opera mini the phone complains about my time & date settings. I checked these and they should be correct, but I still am unable to sign in. Any idea what i'm doing wrong? WiFi functions perfectly since I can surf through Internet Explorer

Hi, excuse me, i was away this 3 last days.

1 - For Schedy, download and install my cab (bottom of this post)

2 - For My5 : configuration is in "\Star Menu\Contacts\My5" (phone number limited to 10 numbers, no way to change this)

3 - For other "My5", his name is "CLinks3", it use VJDialer, a dialer with pictures, files (12 contacts "Links") are in "\Windows", to configure it :

Dial_Contact1m.lnk (Phone Number Option) should have an entry like this:
39#"\Windows\VJDialer.exe" +0-000-000-0000
(edit file with notepad, drag and drop file in notepad)
and Dial_Contact1h.lnk (Text Message Option) should have an entry like this:
57#"\Windows\tmail.exe" -service "SMS" -to "+0-000-000-0000"
Replace +0-000-000-0000 with the contact mobile number for both files: e.g. +1-703-555-1234
Now when you click on the contact it will call the number that you defined. If you press the Soft Key (Send SMS) it will open the "Send Text Message" screen and pre-fill the form with your contact's cellphone number; so you can send him/her a message.
In your PC create your own contact pictures and renamed it to Contact1.jpg, Contact2.jpg....etc. and copy it to the "\Windows" directory to replace the "template photos" with your own.

Another info about VJDialer :
eg: "\Windows" 07812 1234567
will dial 07812 1234567

I am using this ROM and I have a little problem with fring on my vox homescreen.
Eiven i do not set the fring homescreen the default homescreen i still have a bar on top that i do not like at all.
Check the screenshot if i am not very clear

Fring uses the same GUID than colored iconbar...

If you install fring, colored iconbar plugin (top of the screen) is replaced by fring guid and you have a bug...

You must uses another theme if you uses fring on this rom, else, you must edit your xml theme and replace colored iconbar plugin by the default windows iconbar.

There is an app named ChomeConfigurator which you can use to customize slide themes. BTW why are you still stuck with WM 6 ROM? Better try out Fb's Custom 1.0 or fh's Rose 0.4 they are much faster. :D

For example I still use the Neo rom as well. I know it's WM6.0 but it has exactly the right customizations I need, the right font size and it is rock solid. Fast or not (I have tried the WM 6.1 version that are going around now) it is still, in my opinion the best rom.

What about using config/locale configuration ?
Currency format seems to be different in UK and US - perhaps/sure/ UK numbering format is different - My5 (whatever it is) should use them.

in this amazing rom is installed the TCPMP version 0.81RC1Beta but it does not contain the codec for FLV files.
I have tried to install FlashVideoBundle codec that works fine with the version 0.72RC1 but it does not work with the latest beta installed.
Could you please help how-to fix this issue?

Thanks a lot. I have managed to install Neo ROM v0.7 successfully. After a couple of days with v0.7 now I have replaced it with v1.1

Is it just me or something wrong? SmartToolkit was automatically enabled every time I switch on the phone in v0.7. Now after upgrading to v1.1 I have to go to the regular old Start Menu, press More thrice, go to System and click Enable SmartToolkit. Is there a way to automate this?

well, heres the catch... does your phone get (apparently)drained from full charge to zero in an hour while running an app( e.g. media player). Then, on restart, show that 75%-80% battery remains?

I believe that the problem is with your device or battery, i never faced this issue nor did any one else. BTW you were not so descriptive or to the point in your initial post^^.

I also wanted the black theme, in the end I just took the previous version's files that make up the black theme and copied them into my Windows directory editing the theme xml file afterwords. That worked for me...

I know its a long way around, but I hope this helps... :D
