You can restore your original back...if you first make a backup.
I did not do that..
I'm never going to restore the old one back.
If you go for the WWE version you can install the Dutch spell checker.
On the Dutch version this option is not available.

Until now there is no 1.37 rom on the Dutch Diamonds, but my guess is it will come eventually, I like English better, but my girl wants here Diamond in Dutch so. I made a dump and I'm busy reconstructing it in a flasheble ROM.

Not to hijack this thread, but once you've successfully finished reconstructing a flashable ROM, will you please share how you've done it? I'm still looking for a way to nicely dump and reconstruct my ROM, but have still too limited knowledge and confidence yet to try it out I'm afraid...

on topic: you could still go for WWE version and enable the Dutch T9: you would have the English interface, without funny abbreviations and misspellings, and still able to quickly write SMS or eMail messages in Dutch using T9! That's at least how I've setup my 1.35.401.3 ROM (stock ROM).

i.37.707 is better then any ROM that i tested its fast, more responsive, and better Touch FLO3d in matters of speed and also radio signal is strong if u want to upgrade do an upgrade to 1.37.707 and u will be happy using it !!! and after two days of using no memory leak noticed with this ROM and also the battery life is way much better then any other ROMS out there.

I doubt if there is any significant difference between those ROMs. I thought that the 405 and 707 are region specific indicators, nothing more (well, maybe some region specific ISP settings)

Memory is 60 MB and programs are 70 MB u can remove some photos and also ringtones and that will sve u about 4 MB !!!

The RAW files you uploaded for me were are for the Pharos, not the Diamond :)

wauw ben net overgestapt op de 707. is echt geweldig. telefoon is een stuk sneller. hij is beter te bedienen, en de batterij gaat mijns inziens langer mee. zit na een dag met wat telefoontjes en sms-jes plus wat instel geklooi op de helft, dus ik denk het tot vanavond te kunnen halen. is toch een halve dag meer dan eerst. ook lijken sommige programma's beter te werken zoals bijv opera en route 66.

heb ook de nederlandse interface en de nederlandse t9 voor elkaar gekregen.
de systeem teksten blijven natuurlijk wel in het engels.
en de spellingscontrole van word-mobile ook.

ik heb ook de 1.37.707.1 maar route66 draait voor geen meter,traag,en een vaag gpssignaal metertje dat de heletijd van vol bereik naar geen bereik knippert,heel irritant,heb route66 er gouw weer afgegooit en draai nnu weer fijn de sygic mcguider,deze werkt gewoon top,vloeiend,snel,baudrate van 19200!!

Maar de 707 rom is erg goed, beste die ik tot nu heb getest.
Veel minder memory leakage,heb alleen niet het idee dat de radio beter is, en ook verschil in accu levensduur merk ik niet echt,maar dat komt misschien omdat ik mijn diamond behoorlijk intensief gebruik.



I also have route66 on the 707 rom but it runs like shit,so slow,not accurate and a problem with the gpssignal indicator,it jumps from full signal to no signal all the time, very annoying. so i got rid of route66 quickly and now im running sygic mcguider again,this works just perfect on my diamond,very smooth and accurate,also due to the high baudrate of 19200.

Anyway, the 707 is very good,the best i tested till now,almost no memory leakage,but i dont think the radio is better,also i cant notice the extended battery life,but maybe thats because i use my diamond very much;gps,wifi,email,sms,calls,bluetooth sending/receiving

I was on the 707 ROM as well (came from the 135.403.1 WWE, which was stock when delivered to me). Had the 707 running some time, but noticed that many of the components are actually OLDER then the 137.401.2 ROM! So now I've switched to the TLR ROM (based on 137.401 and including the newer components from the 1.37.456). I tend to feel that the TLR one is better then the 707, but to be completely honest, the differences are really not that significant. The 1.35.403.1 actually was (using the general speedup tweaks) also quite good.... :-)

Please read the guarantee booklet that came with your phone. That's what is applicable to your phone, not what somebody says here.

Have you read it? I can't make sense out of it. It basically says that if you do anyting with it that isn't in the manual you void youre guarantee. But that is what all company's do. What I'm more interessted in is what the law says about this, because the make the rules not HTC.

No I have not... To be honest, I never ever was in need of guarantee yet for any of the electronic devices I own, while I usually upgrade / reflash / use custom firmwares as soon as possible. I guess I've been lucky (or just cautious) up till now. :-)

When the shit hits the fan, I guess I would just send the device as is (with custom firmware)... and see what happens.
