Hi all,
I installed the WM6.1 RUU from the HTC site, and discovered that my bluetooth receiver won't work with Tomtom anymore. nor wil the internal antenna. The phone keeops trying to dial up a modem conenction when trying to access the receiver or antenna.
I've made certain the bluetooth link is up, and set up the COM ports, but no good.
Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Um Bluetooth and TomTom, I don't think many use those together in this forum. See, the kaiser/tilt/etc/etc has a built in gps dohicky that we use. Now if thats what your doing then of course I would suggest searching.
I came up with this and it's recent.

If it's a bluetooth gps device then what happens with regular Bluetooth devices such as an ear piece?

Thanks for the response-
I am aware of the integral antenna, but it won't "see" that, either. I have tried numerous COM port settings with no luck. The other thread you reference indicates the user will eventually get GPS connectivity, whereas I get none- the phone tries to dial out to a modem, or tries to use the data connection for the GPS receiver, whether it be bluetooth or internal. It then gives up, obviously not making a connection.
I don't use an earpiece, so it's not a big deal to me.

Do you have it set to com 4 and have you tried something like google maps? Set it so that windows manages it. There is also another program out that deals with just gps, no maps or anything and it has been known to help jump start gps. It should be dialing out just for gps unless it's pulling up a map or something.

It's called GPSviewer. Let me know if you can't find it online. At the moment I can't upload it or anything until I get home.
