Nice thing of PDAVIET is that they are always searching for the latest stuff, like OS, Windows Lives builds, etc etc.

You will find improvement with the latest original roms (1.37.**). But PDAVIET makes good roms...so that is also an improvement ;)

Good question. What is a new ROM worth for if there is no description of the "improvements"??? I'm thankful to anybody who makes these modded ROMs available but I cannot install a "new" ROM just because it has been modded. I need to have more details.

I've flashed like I did with 405 and 707 too.

It's even so good as the original ROM's. It's a little bit early to tell, if it's better. I know PDAVIET pretty well and Í guess they've implemented some tweaks too.

One thing I do know already .... it's running great with TomTom 7 and maps 6.50 on the integrated GPS.

hmmm.. does it also delete the links in touch flo 3d to the diamond keypads? otherwise i suppose i can add the diamond keypad by simply download it from: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=390688

Do I need to flash any HardSPL before flashing this ROM??

I am currently use SPL 1.3 OliNex and Elite 1.0 ROM, and I have tried to flash this rom for few times, all stop at that gray screen on my diamond just having 0% and timeout, I did that take battery out recovery thing without any issues.

Does this ROM also contains the new Radio because after upgrade my version remained the same, only the os version changed ?
P.S. My original ROM had an IPhone Labirinth clone game , now it has beeen changed with Rubik...:-(

I have a few questions please:

*Is this the fastest ROM yet available regarding Touchflo3d? Faster then Elite 1.0 and OEM 1.37?
*What functionality is lost with the removal of Windows Live?
*What functionality is lost with the removal of Flash Lite? (no flash content?)
*Does this fix memory leak / black icon problem?
*Can somebody post an image of the Diamond keyboard?

* I think it's the fasted ROM available yet.
* You can't import Hotmail to the mail and can't use the Messenger.
The CAB has been provided, so you can add it again.
* Flash lite is for displaying *.SWF files,
can add this program (CAB) later too.
* No memory leaks seen yet.
* I haven't found a CAB of the Diamond keyboard yet.

The biggest advantage is storage.

About 102MB free storage / 61MB at start or 103MB/67MB without installing etx. rom (SR after first configuration).

And it's quite fast, much faster than 1.35 and 1.34.

I definetly want a clean ROM without TF3D etc.

those using standard Hard-SPL; we are currently evaluating a few ROMs, this is one of them and we will be publishing a signed version shortly.

Those with developer edition of Hard-SPL of course can flash it.

I'd also like to point it out to you NetrunnerAT, that the only Hard-SPL versions available are made by me, so you're stuck between a rock and a hard place if you don't want either; ergo. don't be a cock.

ya ill 2nd that it does get really hot while using gps and internet while trying to charge it...

I use an inexpensive generic (ipod-type) holder that clips into the HVAC vent on the dash. Monitoring temperature with BatteryStatus, the Tilt runs 20-30 degrees cooler (compared to normal handheld use) when the air conditioner is on and it reaches the ambient temp of the car interior.

The drain is more than the car charger can handle.

An HTC compatible car charger will supply up to 600 mA of charging current. It is not even a function of the charger itself. The Tilt will detect a compatible charger and will "hard charge" the battery in the same manner as when plugged in to an AC wall charger. When a non-compatible charger is used, the tilt will "slow charge" in the same manner as when plugged in to a PC (or similarly low powered) USB port.

This is not a hi-tech issue. One of the pins on the charger's usb connector is grounded on an HTC wall or car charger and lets the device know to take as much power as it wants. When this pin is not grounded, the Tilt assumes a low power USB connection and charges accordingly.

I commonly use a Blackberry car charger and observe this "slow" charge rate. It is possible to draw more power than a non-compatible car charger can suppy under heavy usage, since they only supply about 1/2 of the charge current when compared to an HTC charger (or third party compatible). Non compatible chargers won't damage the device. They just aren't as efficient.

are you really not following diamond threads? have you not seen our other hardspl ("developer edition") that is fully unlocking your diamond?

and looking at your signature, what did Olipro steal? rather, "dollypro" was trying to steal his hardspl and my sspl and failed at it miserably.

so, if people were to follow your advice, they would not be able to flash this pdaviet rom onto their diamonds!

all in all, your signature is total nonsense. don't you have better things to put in your signature than text bashing other people without any real reason too?

I do not know where this sudden statement comes from, though without Oli, there would probably be no XDA in the size and manner it is now.
Olinex is kind of a jointventure which helps us even better with the Diamond cooking.

Netrunner, if you have something better to share, I am sure a lot of people would like to know.

that's a good suggestion

I think it is best if the public releases of cooked ROMs are all signed, so both hardspl's can accept them.

but even if someone tries to flash an unsigned ROM on 1.30.OliNex (the htchackers-signed one), that won't result in a brick. worst case would be requiring "set 16 0" to get OS to boot again. or just reflash with a htchackers-signed ROM.

a brick is something that needs more than a simple mtty command or reflash.

Put the GPS on the first tab of External GPS on COM4

Strange!!! IGO8 does not work cause it searches for SD card. How did you manage to make it work?

However, as Stingray66 said, it's port 4 and baud rate is 57500

I have IGO 8 installed on my diamond and it works perfectly. Here is what you all diamond user have to do (thnx Jetmouse)

Installation from Internal Storage (HTC Diamond users):
1. Unrar the content of the archive into your Internal Storage
2. Rename application.dat to iGO8.exe
3. Open SYS.TXT file located in your IGO8 directory and add the following section to it:

Why should someone just tell you how. You can google, you can use the search.

Error 260 is a connection error. Your device is having an issue with its USB connection. Check your hardware manager to make sure all the drivers are installed correctly (if you have "Unknown Device" while your device is plugged in, that may be a clue).

Also make sure you have the developer version of hardspl installed. Error 260, while being a communication error over USB, may be showing up because the operation is timing out.

I'm sure a number of people are thinking, "what an idiot", for these three reasons:

- Firstly you have a XDA II, and you're wanting to flash a Diamond ROM. There's about a 5 year difference of technology. The most ridiculous suggestion I've heard thus far is someone wanting to flash a Diamond ROM to a Raphael, but this one couldn't get any more ridiculous. Fail.

- Secondly if you wanted this ROM, it's amongst the oldest Diamond ROMs out there- so fail on count 2.

- You came and asked without searching anything, even the rules of flashing in general, let alone flashing on Diamonds. This leads us all to think how could you have possibly flashed anything on your phone in the first place. Oh yes, there were only what, 2 phones back then? So you had a 50% chance of success. And somehow it worked, but not due to your brains. Count 3- epic fail.
