hi,

iŽd like to change the system sounds of my niki (running niki project v2) like the ones you hear if you see a warning, tip, etc ( which is alarm2.wav in rom) , without affecting the rom. is that possible? with what software?
thx :)

can't you just adjust the sounds the normal way?
settings > personal > sounds and alerts
(translated from dutch version)

add the mp3/wav files to \My device\My documents\My ringtones\

(if it doesn't exist, use browser and click on it long.. so a menu pops up and click "use as ringtone")

and then you can select it at "sounds and alerts"

sorry for the terrible explanation .. but i'm just crap at explaining on paper ;D

Name all your personal sounds with the same names as the originals in the /windows folder and overwrite the originals by dragging your personal sounds into the /windows folder. you will be better off doing this via your pc when your pda is connected up as it wont allow you to overwrite the files from the pda's file explorer. back up your original sounds in case you want to restore them later.
