Anybody know why the task manager is on the upper corner? And How do I get rid of it
It is the icon closest to the backlight (to the right of it) on the MRU screen. So to change it to what you want just pin the program and move it to that spot.(press and hold brings up the pin screen). BOO

i am running the 1.2 version of this theme because honestly it looks the best on my htc touch. the question i have is is there any way to remove the clock on the upper left hand corner of the taskbar and place a start flag there ? also i would like to remove the battery charge percentage numbers. is there any way in the world i can do this without installing the 2.1 version ? i really don't like the look of the calender on the home screen at all.

I have SPB MS 2.1 with your AMAZING Diamond 2.1 skin and Aurora Color Theme BG installed. I selected Midnight under my themes in MS on my HTC Touch PPC. My ? is this. I love the all black mixed with the Aurora Blue but when I go to my regular Today screen it is all blue, so I was wondering if there is any way to keep my Today screen all black or have the Aurora theme effect the HTC Today screen as well making it black and blue?
Thanx in advance.:)
Is this just a stupid question that is being ignored or is it just un possible?;)
Is there any way to make the midnight or sky blue optional aurora background color selection into a background image? Then I can just use a black theme for the today screen.

Good. Yes, the weather icon on the Now Screen is "dynamic" and changes according to the forecast for the day. You can click on that icon to see more details. so that seems to solve the issue for you. :)
How to make the weather icon to be "dynamic"?

I have the same problem on my mogul - the colour status icons aren't working and I've lost the highlight effects... is there any way to fix this with the 2.1.2 version of MS?
I have the same problem, I've tried searching through the 200 pages but did not find the answer.
On the "Now Screen" how do I get the mail, text, and call status icons to be colour highlighted?
The small number is the right colour, but I don't get any highlight went I "press" the icons, it just turn grey instead of the colour I've copied over the default files.
I'm using MB Shell 2.1.2 with version 2.1 of the theme on a CDMA htc touch.
Thanks for the help.

SPB made the change internally in the program. If you want the colored highlights, you have to use MSv2.1, if you want the features in MSv2.1.2, then you lose the colored highlights.

What kind of features are we talking about? Is it worth the update? That's the version I was running before and I don't see what's new...
Is it something that will be re-enabled in future versions?

What version of the SPB are you guys using thats has a dynamic weather icon?
Is the HTC diamond skin or with all the skins?
I cant see that in mine.
All the best!
I like to know too how to get the weather icon to be dynamics. Thanks a lot.

What dynamic is, is on the now screen the weather icon next to the home icon, Example is right now mine shows a sun with clouds, but tomorrow it is going to be sunny so if you look at that icon tomorrow it will just have the sun ( or rain if its raining). It will only change when the daily weather changes. I didn't realize this either until that icon change the day after I installed this skin. I hope this helps, BOO

About the only feature you may notice with v2.1.2 is being able to display "All Day Events" with the appointments.
As far as it being re-enabled, that would be up to SPB, so don't hold your breath.

Hi I just joined in this forum and found this awesome thread :) ... Really appreciate all the hard work for the developers ...
I just want to ask, would this HTC Diamond SPB Theme work for any 240x320 QVGA phone running on WM6 Pro? Or are there any other software or hardware requirements to make it run smoothly?
Thanks.

Amazing theme! Could you guys provide .tsk theme files for Aurora and Real Diamond (or any other popular backgrounds)? Or at the very least provide the background image PNG's so we could create ourselves? IfIdidhave to create them myself I'd post them in this thread.
Thanks. Good job fellas!

doas anyone know if it is possible to setup in SPB mobile shell or in SPB Mobile Shell 2.1 Theme those thinks:
- go to some alternative missing calls plug-in after taping missing calls icon on spb home menu?
- make SPB mobile shell home tab as default [ now i have programs tab as def ]
-
also where i can find easy instruction how to start spb mobile shell instead of today screen, i hear that i can use SPB watch but i don't know how.

To be more specific, will this work smoothly for an LG KS20 smart phone? ... Apologies for too many questions as I'm not very familiar with these stuff but I do want to have this HTC theme :).

The best way to answer that question is to install it and see if it performs well for you. You get a free trial of Mobile Shell and if you don't like it, remove it. It won't break anything.:D

How can I make my own custom background skins? I notice that they are .dat files. I tried loading my own .dat image file... not good results. Yes, I named it the same thing and rebooted the device (HTC Mogul). I have v2.1 and LOVE it.
Also, is there a way, on the home screen to change the phone button so that it does not filter the calls to "missed only" and instead shows all calls? I know it's a little thing, but it would be nice to know how to do.
Also, my device does not power back on to give me poop-up alerts when I have emails like my device used to do. Is there a way to fix this? The device will show pop up email alerts sporadically when the phone is on (I'm a freak of nature, I have it set to check every 5 minutes).
Thanks!

You're right, I'll just have to try and see ... Anyway, I'm still yet to receive my phone so the trial part might have to wait for a while ... However, I already have the SPB mobile shell v2.1 as well as this HTC theme on waiting ;) ... As I've mentioned earlier, I'm not a very technical kind of person and I would appreciate if you can give a step by step procedure on how to properly install the SPB mobile shell as well as the HTC theme to my device (or maybe direct me to a link / post if in case it has already been discussed here) :o

1) Which program tab?
2) Go to SPB MEnu > Settings > SPB Mobile Shell > on the Now Screen Tab, Choose Layout = Professional and Click "Configure" > on Calendar drop down list, Choose "None"

Hi guys i'm new here, i played around some of the skins i got from here and other places and made it work on my Omnia.
The default background image of the HTC has a tiny vertical miss coloration or something like that, maybe the size isn't perfect, anyways it looks great.
The files are in WinZip just copy them and paste into the SPBMobileShell folder.
If u are not entirely pleased with the weather image/symbol, just copy the weather files from another source into the same SPBMobileShell folder, you can do so with other things as well.
Another fun thing you can do if you want is to change the name of the title in each page like instead of 'Programs' you can put 'John's Programs' or change Weather 'My Shitty Days' haha or whatever.
Just go into the text file found in the SPBMobileShell folder open the text file and look around and see what you wanna change.
2 questions i'd like to ask Greatbal and others,
1. Is it possible to create the Time animation to actually 'flip' downwards as the HTC Diamond does?
2. Is it possible to animate the weather icon to move and rain slightly like the HTC Diamond does?
All the best and really great work you guys!
Thanks for the tip. I am working on a Norwegian translation at the moment.
Is this text file untouched in most skins? if not i took the tekst file from this: http://www.imarche.net/omnia/index.htm skin. Let me know if i need to make translations for other skins too :)

Most skins do not include the text file. You can use the same text file with any skin. If a skin does not need a particular translation, it just ignores it. So say you started with the Diamond skin and you got everything translated the way you want it, then switch to BlueWaves. You don't need to make a new text file or remove anything from the one you used with the Diamond skin. Just add any new translations you need for the new skin and you are set.

This is based on the HTC Diamond theme v2.1. For QVGA Devices ONLY. Optimized for portrait mode but supports landscape mode also.
I created this theme for Mobile Shell version 2.1.2 but it should work also with version 2.1.
http://img522.imageshack.us/img522/2979/sssg2.png
Available in three colors (included in the zip file attached):
http://img231.imageshack.us/img231/5949/ss2vr7.png
How to install:
1) Download zip file attached.
2) Extract on your hard drive.
3) Copy all extracted .dat files to your device's \Program Files\Spb Mobile Shell directory.
4) Soft reset device.
5) For Color scheme option, just copy the dat files from the appropriate folder inside the Color Scheme folder of the extracted zip file to your device's Mobile Shell folder, overwriting the original (make sure you did steps 1 to 3 first).
NOTES: Suggested Settings for this theme to work properly:
1) Go to SPB Menu > Settings > SPB Mobile Shell > [Now Screen Tab] > Layout = "Professional" > Click "Configure" button > Tick (check) "Show all day events" and "Show free appointments" Checkboxes AND Set "Alarm" to "Show always" and "Calendar" to"Auto"
2) To show the appointments/Calendar items on the Classic Now Screen Analog: Go to SPB Menu > Settings > SPB Mobile Shell > [Now Screen Tab] > Layout = "Classic" > Click "Configure" button > Tick (check) "Show curent and upcoming appointments.
Enjoy! :)

good luck. You can try simplifying the buttons so the "floating" effect would be more noticeable.

To all skinners,
What would happen if you coded in the dat files for mobile shell to only be 300 pixels tall or whatever screensize minus height of softkeys. Would that leave the softkeys showing or would it just be blank. I have wondered this since greatbals first version of this theme.

You would see on the softkey area the base hue (color theme) filled rectangular area. I tried that early on my skinning days. would have loved to show the task bar and the softkeys then. :(

Great theme as usual greatbal! Thank you for sharing.
When it is convenient for you, could you kindly make a layout with just 1 contact page? It would be much appreciated.
Again, many thanks! Humble donation to follow.
This is based on the HTC Diamond theme v2.1. For QVGA Devices ONLY. Optimized for portrait mode but supports landscape mode also.
I created this theme for Mobile Shell version 2.1.2 but it should work also with version 2.1.

http://img231.imageshack.us/img231/5949/ss2vr7.png
Enjoy!

Another awesome work from you Greatbal ... Your hard work and dedication is much appreciated ... I'm one of your kabayans based overseas and a great fan of your work ...
Just a few request, could you also make a version with the original HTC diamond background? For the digital clock, is there still a choice to choose either black or white (like your original HTC Diamond Theme)? Lastly, could you also include the transparent / glossy clock (icons / tabs) in order to make the background still slightly visible?
Sorry for the many request as I don't have any idea on how to do any theme modifications :o ... I'm just a non techie guy who wants to make my phone better looking :D ... Would really appreciate though if you are able to give a detailed guideline (for dummies) on how to change the background image / wallpaper ...
Thank you very much in advance ...

LOL...I don't need to convert this, I now have Manila3D on my shiny new Diamond!
Just kidding. I haven't planned on abandoning Mobile Shell just yet. The problem I am finding though is that you have to be careful when you make a VGA skin because the images are 4 times as large as the QVGA images, so I am finding that the VGA version cannot always just be a straight conversion but has to be trimed down here and there.
I do like the look of this skin though so I may just take you up on that, but it won't be immediatly as I am in the middle of a project right now. Just be patient and stay tuned to XDA.

You have to edit the Launcher.xml in the qa_layouts.dat.
delete the line:
<Rect Name="TextRect" X="0" Y="44" Width="80" Height="25"/>
from the General declaration:
<General>
<Rect Name="TextRect" X="0" Y="44" Width="80" Height="25"/>
</General>
The sample above is the code for the 240x320 layout. You have to delete the corresponding one for the 320x240 layout also.
Afterwhich, you have to zip the xml files again with the proper password.

While I've used and liked Greatbal's skins I found that Manilla appears to be more tightly integrated to the OS than SPBMobileShell as it replaces the shell altogether rather than being a peer to it. This, I feel, makes it faster overall and eliminates the need for another app to keep it on top.

Maybe this is just a stupid question. But I have a HTC Touch Pro, and I was getting tired of the buggy TF3D that just slows down my phone.
I found your amazing looking theme and I decided to give it a try. :)
I get the same problem as posted before. As I try to use your theme with SDP MS 2.1.2, after the reboot the program doesnt start anymore.
Is it normal to overwrite some files while copying the files to the SDP Shell folder?? I think the problem is caused somewhere in that process.
Thanks.

Hi all. Although I love the color changing backgrounds (Aurora, Diamond) for this great MS2 theme it really bugged me having the plain color background on the today screen so I had a crack at producing my own. Worked out pretty well (TSK's are portrait+landscape, MS2 themes are portrait only). 7 custom Aurora tsk files (WMobile themes) and 3 matching Mobile Shell backgrounds. Check out 'aquamarine' and 'fire' esp :)
Should work with any theme I think, but I ripped the 'qp_bkg_now' file directly from mtkates' greatbal mod (here) (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=2461500#post2461500). Also included is the Glossy Black Bars.zip (unzip and run on device) that changes the systems base hue for black bars.

Good work. Not sure if you know, but if you want to add landscape, they are in ql_bkg_bkg_now

@All
Hi,
i am trying to make my own background for Mobile Shell. But i have one problem. I can only use picture in grey or black/white.
If i am trying to use a picture it looks terrible.
I know that the colors are indicated (8 Bit Colors) but how can i use a picture or isnt it possible?
Many Thanks!
Shawn
Anybody could help me with this problem?

Why sure!:D
Hi atoz350,
I really like the white buttons and the tab icons you've designed, but I modified the background to the original one.
However, the weather icon's background is not displayed correctly.
Also in landscape mode I have a problem with the tab icon background.
Can you help correcting this?
Also the all day events are displayed behind the tab icons, but that's not related to your theme...
I've attached two screenshots
EDIT: never mind, i've copied the subtabs_m and subtabs2_m from the original theme and it works now!

I've got an issue with spb mobile shell 1.2.1 and the diamond theme in landscape mode.
Is there a way to solve this (except from disabling the all day events of course?)

It probably looks "terrible" because you're saving an 8-bit image. Try saving a 16-bit Windows BMP instead.

Enjoy! :)
For alternative Main Menu icons, please see this post:
EDIT: You can also try DrForIslam's cab file you can find at this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2667453&postcount=2086

1) You have to change the resolution of all the images for VGA use (basically, x2 on both width and height)
2) Change the position of the images by editing the xml files inside the qa_layouts.dat
You can start reading the How-to thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=378367

VGA and QVGA use the same qa_layouts.dat files. If the program detects a VGA screen, it will automatically double the values.

You can run the glossy black.exe from any directory. I recommend just keeping it resident in your Storage\My Documents folder to use whenever you change up your theme. TSK files can be copied directory to your root \Windows directory.

Kinda fixed the sizing of the tab to look more like Manilla 2D. You should use this one instead. I can't get it perfect as I have a lot of limitations. Also this is for portrait only. Lanscape is very hard to do. Makes me appreciate more of what greatbal and mkates is doing as its not an easy task.

It works on version 2.0, but I can't get it to show on version 2.1 (which I like a lot better).
And I do have checkmarked 'show all day events' and 'show free apptmts' in the settings and calendar set to Auto.

Wow, this is amazing!
My Mobile Shell trial was just about to expire, and I was just about to let it... With the ability to customize the skin, I think I'll shell out the money after all!
I'm using greatbal's Diamond 1.2 theme with all the extras - aurora background, improved clock, colored icons, the works. :p My favorite part is the addition of the calendar tab, because the absence of a dedicated calendar was my biggest gripe with the default MS layout.
The one thing I would like to see eventually is a tab for a task manager, with something similar to the functionality found in SPB Diary, where you can create new tasks and mark them as completed right from the plugin. I understand that that's not something that has ever been included in MS, so it's just a wish... Until then, I suppose I'll continue to rely on my today screen.
Thanks to everyone that's made this all possible!!! :D

Be patient. It is a lot of work and I haven't had much time lately. It would take me weeks to make a tutorial wth all that is involved with a skin and still would probably be missing a lot so I don't think I'll even try. low and behold!
Today TSK is around somewhere, but it's actually not so good (centre of blue blob is off-centre). You'd be better of using a generic blue today theme and then setting the wallpaper to the Manilla2D supplied a ways back as your today wallpaper.

You place the files, not the folder. Is your device QVGA? Did you soft reset after replacing the files? What happens when you try to run Mobile Shell? Does it do nothing? Lock up the phone? Show the default skin? Did it catch fire?:D

You guys are doing some fantastic work here. I'm really jealous of your programing and graphics abilities. I'm learning a little about the how to modify the Moble Shell stuff. I'm currently using a mis-mash of a couple of other people's themes that I've melded together. It works okay, but it isn't perfect... at least for me.
I figure I'll have to eventually learn enough to make my own as I doubt that anyone will have built exactly what I'm looking for, BUT, I'm hoping that someone might have made something close enough that I can do some relatively minor modifications. If I describe what I'm looking for, can someone point out an existing theme that is close? (And if some soul feels up to the challange and wants to actually make what I'm looking for, I might be able to donate a few bucks via paypal??)
Anyway, I like the look and feel of the Aurora 1.2 from the original post, but:
On the NOW screen I'd like to have the button for backlight adjustment as well as the button for ringer adjustment.
The CALENDAR screen shouldn't need any adjusting.
The PROGRAM SCREEN shouldn't need any adjusting.
The WEATHER screen should have the forcast in small icons along with the bit current weather.
The PHONE screen should have at least three pages that I can scroll through with geastures.
Anything close to this??
Thanks,
Chris

Hi, short and sweet. I have a Samsung i900, which is supposed to be QVGA according to . http://www.elitegadgets.com/GB/Samsung-i900-Omnia-8GB-Sim-Free-Mobile-Phone(1280).aspx?source=googlebase
As stated before, I d/l'd the skin/layout/.cab, extract to HD - and then either transfer to device via ActivSync and install to MyStorage. I tried using Main Device are but this nothing as well. I tried layouta and different 'flavours' and got differing errors from either half of the screen showing the skin thru to the display being twice the size it should be - with now way that I could find to change it.
I also installed a D3D file which has improved the performance of the 'phone and I'm wondering if this is the main cause. I have yet to try any skin/layout without this D3D file - maybe I should try this, yes?
When I try to run the skin I get [1] nothing, [2] ControlPanel.exe and shell errors. Nothing Manilla/HTC works at all. SPB still works. I am using version 2.1.2 of the SPB shell - even though the threads says to use version 2.1.1 (aka ver. 2.1). I can still use the shell but not the skin - if that makes sense.

The link you posted states that it is Wide QVGA, also known as WQVGA, which is a 240x400 resolution. QVGA is a 240x320 resolution which is what this skin was written for.

If you got this working on a WQVGA device then maybe you could post the steps you took to make it work because I don't see where greatbal has posted a WQVGA version or instructions to make it work for that resolution.
You are right about this,
* 3.5 Inch Touch screen
* 240×400 resolution
* WQVGA
Yet the theme, originally designed for QVGA, is working fine on a Samsung i900 with SPB shell 2.1.2.
The only difference in what I did, was that I didn't transfer it from the PC to the phone.. But just copied the files from a folder on the phone to the right folder..
Soft reset and done.

Is there a way to change the programs listed under programs with this. I cant figure it out. I figured it would be under Settings>Spb Mobile Shell>Advanced Tab>Menu>Programs but there is no place to do it. Someone help I don't want to have to scroll through tons of unwanted programs.
Thanks,

For the sake of expediency: no, there is no way to change the programmes listed. However, in that same advanced tab you can tick the 'my menu' box an add your favourite programmes to it (menu, add, link... select program). Then go to menu, menu options and change to 'grid' (default is list) and then the 'My Menu' icon will appear underneath the Program icon on the menu page of mobile shell (and you can assign My Menu it to a soft key for isntant access) to bring up your 9 (or more, if you want more than one page) most favourite apps.
This is all in the programme's help documents, btw...

Sure is. Use any File Explorer and navigate to \Windows\Start Menu\Programs. You will see all the shortcuts in the Programs menu here. Delete, rename, modify, whatever. Keep in mind that any changes made will be reflected in the Start Menu and in MS's Programs menu.

Ah that's true, you could do it outside Mobile Shell... I'd use My Menu though to preserve your actual Program folder ;)

Brilliant, just installed it on my kaiser. Performs nicely, and looks even better. :-D
One small problem/bug, though.... in the top left of the home screen (clock, calendar), instead of having the start icon, it has something random, like IE, file explorer, excel, word, etc. I'd like to just have the start icon there, but I can't find it in the settings menu to change it to that. And for some reason, it disables s2u2 from starting up/activating if I put it to sleep, though s2u2's settings tell it to lock when I press sleep, or the screen goes off. :\

It's not a bug. You need to set up the start menu. It's not selectable through spb settings.
That button is an most recently used button. You can pin different program icons to it.
Look for a post by jeffrey200 to see how to configure it.
For your s2u2 problem try going to spb mobile shell settings. First tab is now screen.
Uncheck the box that says "Show the Now screen when device wakes up"

This skin will ONLY work with QVGA 240x320 devices.
It will NOT work with the Diamond, Omnia, 800w, etc...
Version 2.1 of greatbal's Diamond theme for SPB Mobile Shell 2.1 (including v2.1.2) now includes landscape support and an MRU on the Now screen for use as a start menu (start menu icon also included), or for whatever other program you want. All the original options are also included.
Also included is a 10th launcher item. You can now have Games, My Menu, and Running Apps in landscape mode. My Menu and Running Apps will share the same icon though. I could not find a way to make them different.
Due to putting the taskbar on the bottom and streching out the status icons, there is a slight glitch in the status highlighting, but it's pretty minor in my opinion so I decided not to stress my self out trying to fix it. It's not that bad.
I also had to reduce the number of appointments that will display on the now screen. I probably could have squished things together a little tighter, but I wanted to keep the great look of this theme as much as possible.
For instructions on setting up a start menu, see post 1172. Do NOT install the files from that post if using Diamond v2.1. All the necessary files are already installed in this version. (Thanks jeffrey2000).
Warning: Mods that were made prior to this release may need to be re-modified or you may loose landscape support.
If you are having problems with the layout or icon hotspots, please check your Mobile Shell version. This skin works best with version 2.1, but also works with 2.1.2. If you are using v1, v2.0, or v2.1.1, you are going to have problems.
Enjoy!

Got that configured and running perfectly, awesome, thank you very much for the help. :D
Edit: Got the coral background onto it, noticed that ver 2.1 has solid black bars top and bottom, while 1.1/1.2 have semi-transparent bars, visible in the preview shots of each. It is splitting hairs, but would it be possible to swap the appropriate .dat files from the 1.2 version to the 2.1 to keep that particular feature?

I made some modifications to Greatbals awesome theme, i will post if anyone is interested. The green arrow (top left) is MRU 1, MRU2 if you have backlight enabled. There are also two other MRUs, one is about even with the middle of the analog clock but to the far right of the screen, the other is about 32 pixels above that. They are not visible to keep a clean look. I use them for icontact and total commander. I also modded the weather page with samaurize weather icons. Of course the credit goes to greatbal and beyond invisible. I only moved things around and added stuff. Only works with analog clock.

Why one single post for every response?
Usuallay 2 or more posts in a row ("post boosting") is most unwanted in other forums - but here it seems to be quite normal, which makes threads like this even more complex and more confusing than they already are.

There is a limit to kb you can upload at a time. There maybe 4 attachment spaces, but all 4 of those can't exceed the maximum kb allowed. If you upload 1 attachment, and it reaches the maximum, then that's all you can do for that post...hence the reason for multiple posts.

For all Omnia users.
I have managed to install TouchFlo Manila 2D on my Omnia it was relatively easy, the only thing i couldnt make work was Wireless but i read that it is a known bug, the UI is exactly like the HTC Diamond with some minor differences or course.
You can read messages the same way as the HTC and view Pictures and and 'pull' the icons left or right, very neat =)
I had to Edit the XML file in order for it work on my omnia its was also pretty easy, then as for the PNG image you can choose which ever you want or the one posted with Diamond background, another nice thing is that you can enable or disable the TouchFlo from you Today options.
And the frontpage will remain in whatever you choosed to have as 'wallpaper'.
Very cool to have True Manila interface =)
Thanks to all those who made it possible.

Files need to be copied into the program files/spb mobile shell directory, overwrite the originals. Make backup copy originals first. Of course you need spb mobile shell installed first. I am a noob as well so I don't know what screen resolution is on a treo to be able to tell you if it works with your device or not.

With the great modification of gagaza I made a new 'real' looking/working start button/menu.
(it will look like the newer diamond startmenu but it will also work if you have wisbar installed, see step 6!!, in case you don't have wisbar skip step 6 and go to step 6.2.
Step 1:
First of all you will need to need to copy the modified "qa_layouts.zip" which will enable to startbutton location to be editable (credits for this file go to gagaza)
Step 2:
open your "qp_menu_btn.dat" file and replace "MenuIcons2_8.bmp" and the "MenuIcons2_m_8.bmp" with the attached files.
Step 3 reboot:
Step 4:
Go to the advanced SPB MS "menu" options, go to "my menu" -> "add" -> "menu" and call it what you want (Start?) and change the icon / browse down to the new black start button.
Step 5:
Now in the Mobile Shell itself keep the left upper button pressed and go to: "managed pinned" and enable only the entry that you just created, you could remove all the others to make sure that it will work, anywayz I called it "Start" in step 4. (Now you will have a start button that doesn't work yet / it will show an empy menu but it will be already visible).
Step 6 "making the startmenu actually work, this step requires Wisbar!":
Go back to the "advanced SPB MS menu options" -> "add" -> "Link" and go down to your "Wisbar Advanced" folder and select the: "Casc Start Menu", change the name (Startmenu?) and icon as you want it.
http://www.insertpics.com/img/1b0cfe94a7852dbb05b020848842a7e1/working_start_button.JPG
*probably you can do this steps straight into the registry but still needs wisbar to make it work.
Step 6.2:
In case you don't have "Wisbar" you could also create your own startmenu from in the advanced options (I made some extra's there aswell, see picture (3 and 5) just below the text "Startmenu" so in case you don't have wisbar skip step 6 and insert your own shortcuts (by link or file) ;)
I don't understand step 5 ... where's managed pinned option ? ..whts left upper button ? lol.. I don't see the start menu till yet.. also tried restarting the device but did'nt got it..
I get this in home screen of the theme

Where the 5 tabs are Home, Calendar, Programs, Weather, and People. And the Home tab has the date and under it the 3 icons for text, phone, and e-mail.
Is it possible?

I am not sure what you are asking but you can download that version. Go to page 1 of this thread and there is a link to 1.2 version

That is the Version 1.2 (for QVGA devices only, optimized for Portrait Mode with Lanscape Support)
Here is the*** Download link: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=J8IYA6VM
Before you download you may want to go to the first page of this thread and read all of the different layouts for this version.
(the link above is on that page under #4 in the Notes.)

This is based on the HTC Diamond theme v2.1. For QVGA Devices ONLY. Optimized for portrait mode but supports landscape mode also.
I created this theme for Mobile Shell version 2.1.2 but it should work also with version 2.1.

Available in three colors (included in the zip file attached):

Excellent theme as always greatbal. Thanks for sharing.
Greatbal or mtkates or whoever can help, is it possible to have a one page contacts instead of 3 pages?
If you or anyone could provide the layout for a one contacts page for this theme, I would really appreciate it a lot.
Thank you very much.

I made some more changes if anyone is interested. Added another MRU below Digital clock. If you look at screenshots the green arrow is MRU1 and the three small white squares are 2,3,4. The little white squares are not visible in the theme, nor are the mru icons. Looks cleaner this way. Green arrow is start menu setup in tools menu. Search this thread if you do not know how to do it. Also added the Samaurize Diamond weather icons this time. Added the Buttons for the speedial pages as well. Here are the screenshots. Credit goes to Greatbal for the theme and Beyond Invisible for the weather icons.

Where is the download? Thx! Sorry about that. Here it is. You have to have Greatbal's Manilla 2D installed first then overwrite with these files.

Just copy the 2 files in the zip files into your spb mobile shell directory. Just tested it and it works fine.

Just rename .zip to .dat
Thanks to CerebusTA for converting the bmp file for me. Of course thanks to Greatbal for creating the theme.

I tried my best to line up the tabs the best I could using the original Poorlyduck's Ultimate Suite wallpaper for S2U2, cutting and pasting the tabs into the wallpaper background that Bob_55 so graciously supplied. Just a little modding, all the credit goes to the aforementioned gentlemen. Thanks for all the hard work to bring us this sweet theme for our phones. Lastly thanks to Kieth Dupont for the background to go in spb mobile shell with the M2D theme. Thanks of course to Greatbal for the M2D theme for the spb ms 2.1.

Hi, I am using Greatbal's skin version 1.2 but would like to change the analog clock to that of the Manila 2D which only shows the "clock hand" and the small digital clock display. Anyone can help to advice?
Also my calendar tab's don't seems to show the days of the week as:
M T W T F S S
Instead it shows as follows:
n e d u i t n
Anyone can help me on this? Appreciate!
