I saw Greatbal's Omnia theme last night and decided to give it a go with my weather graphics. It turns out nice (to me) so I uploaded the files, if you're interested.
OmniaStardock weather theme V.1.8 (http://www.megaupload.com/?d=2AFWKBNH)
Thank you so much for the Omnia stardock weather. It is just beautiful and a bright spot in my day!
Since I installed the stardock weather I have no data on some of my days and I get a matrix screen when that day comes. I tried to search on Greatbal's Omnia page and it said to reinstall the theme and try again and I did this and it is still happening. Any solution idea? I really love your stardock and I want to keep it.

I converted these Extended Diamond weather graphics to be used with M2D plugins.
I thought it was an easy convert, but turns out, I have to re-size all the graphics, and add 20 more icons.
So I'm sorry to say that these will not be available for public download, but through PM only.
Thank you really much those beautiful icons!!!

Haha, I'm sorry. Really.
I put the matrix background in just for fun. There's nothing wrong with your phone at all. No system failure or anything like that.
All you need to do is update your weather data, and it'll be changing to different background.
If you don't want the background changing, then you can simply delete those files, and still keep the stardock icons.

I LOVE the Matrix. I even have the Nokia 7160 phone they used in the movie. Very funny you put that in there.
I updated my weather and it still shows "N/A" and "no data" for day. The night, morning and evening all show up on the little icons but N/A shows in the day so there is no weather. Is this a SPB MS issue or is there not an icon for this type of weather? (Not that SPB MS weather is that accurate where I am.)

Same deal. You know the process. If you need help, please ask in the forums. I know people won't mind helping at all.
Again, if you like my works, please consider to donate. I appreciate that very much.
Have fun,
Thanks. :)

I have fallen in LOVE with your weather graphics and have been showing it to everyone that I can. I don't know if I installed something wrong or if its doesn't quite work perfectly with the Tilt, but I am unable to read the city name. The graphic pretty much covers the city name.
Any suggestions??

FOUND THE ANSWER IN POST #466 - Reading Comprehension is my friend :p
Now that you mention it, it is kinda cool. I only have 5 different locations so I know what it should be. The only 'issue' (and that's issue in quotes cause its not really an issue) is when its sunny, I see the first two letters at the beginning and the last two at the end.
I think I saw where to edit the htchomesettings.xml, just not sure which numbers to edit and I'm not packing that kind of skill....YET! ;)
Thanks for you input!

M2D Weather Graphics
Hi, my name is Emanuele, I'm Italian (I don't speak English very well!)
Firstly, this is a WONDERFUL work. I love this graphic!!
But I had a problem...
The skin isn't in the centre. But it's on the right.
I show you the situation with this screenshot (http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/1/20/669382/weather%20problem.bmp):
http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/1/20/669382/weather%20problem.bmp
I think that it's just a question of characters of the "HTCHomeSettings.xml"
I didn't edit anything in the "HTCHomeSettings.xml", but
anyway isn't in the centre.
Here is my "HTCHomeSettings.xml" file:
http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/1/20/669382/HTCHomeSettings.xml
(p.s: If I remove the weather description or low the city name down or delete the half separator line, it doesn't change anything)
Can you be so kind to edit the "htchomeSettings.xml" for me, Please? I can't do it :(
For the other things (images, connections, ecc...) it's everything ok!!
THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!
I hope you'll answer soon!
(if i unistall the Manilla2DWeathers.cab from my htc, there aren't weather's icons, because your .cab has deleted the original icons!! please help me

First, why didn't you edit the xml?
Second, by looking at your xml, I don't see you changed anything in the xml, that's why it "didn't change anything"
Third, I edited your xml, and it should be centered.
Fourth, if you uninstalled the weather graphics, I guess you have to install the original icons again. Please look for some posts in the forum. I think Twolf has the link.

In my non-framed edition, I didn't like the way "Partly Sunny" icon looks. So I have to go back and make some changes.
For those already downloaded the set, please download this new icon and replace it in your windows directory.
I'm sorry I couldn't catch this soon enough.

For those that are tired of looking at the windshield wiper when raining, I've made a new animation for you.
Please note that this will replace your default windshield wiper animation.
The "Rain" icon is also changed. The new animation should work on all other weather icons set (when it's raining, of course), but please also note that the rain icon will be replaced with my rain icon (#18)
.GIF quality looks bad on this, but it should be OK on your phone.
Eventhough the file size is 5 MB, but it shouldn't take away any of your valuable space, because it just replaces the old ones. The animation repeats, but M2D only plays it ONCE.

Please explain what your meaning through pm only? and why not post link?
May i get them?
Thanx & BR
Hi,
Thanks for your compliment.
I work very hard on those graphics, so I'd like to ask for a small donation before sharing my work.
If you'd like, please use the link in my signature. I'll send you the file as soon as I've got the confirmation.
I hate to do this, but please understand.
Thanks.
I think its inappropriate to take part of freeware change it and sell it.
This forum meant for sharing & improving out HTC's, not making money.
People will appreciate your work and donate anyway, but as you present it here ("I'll send you the file as soon as I've got the confirmation.") it's totally wrong.

Nah, I'm not selling this. I'm asking for donation on my time working on it.
Seriously though, I put up a lot of weather icons online not asking for anything. Like I said, if you'd like, you can donate, otherwise, you don't HAVE TO. This is for my time, not for the "part of freeware, change it and sell it".
Lots of people just want to take everything for FREE and not even say a word. Lots of people take their valuable time and share their work, and I ADMIRE THEM.
I've been giving the download link for FREE to people that I think contributed a lot to the forum. I don't ask for donation at all from them. Also, I've been giving the link to those who can't afford to pay, not having paypal account, or just simply thankful for having someone like me do the stuff they don't have time to do.
So think about it.
This is very discouraging. Sigh. :(

I do not have paypal account. A few dollars to some people can seem like a lot. These forums are read and accessed by many countries and economies. I love your work, and i admire the skill and knowledge that it takes to create such nice work. Im just a troller here, I like trying out the many themes and recommoneding my favorites to freinds and people in other forums. It seems "dirty" to have to send you a PM and explain that i'm poor, have no CC or pay pal and beg for a free handout of your weather theme that you charge others for, cause now it seems like I'm stealing money from your pocket .

Please don't get discouraged.
There are many of us here who lack the ability and creativity to do this, and I for one am so grateful for what you do.
I can only imagine how much time and energy it takes to make just one of these icon sets, never mind answering all of the installation questions.
I've dropped a donation in your box to say Thank You...I wish it could have been more because your work is worth it, but I will donate again when I can so you can contiune to dazzle us with your designs.

These weather graphics only work with Manilla 2D. This installation file won't work for SPB Mobile Shell.
There are 44 weather icons. The pictures won't show all, but it's all there in the .cab file.
Installation instructions:
1. Download this NEW file below from Megaupload.
2. Save or move it to one of your mobile directories/storage card
3. Run the .cab file
4. Edit the HTCHomeSettings.xml to replace this line:
<Property name="IDWEWG_WEATHER_POS" id="17" value="0,25,240,205" />
5. Save your edited HTCHomeSettings.xml and replace it in your phone \windows directory
6. Enjoy the new weather graphics.
If you like my works, please consider to donate. It'll be much appreciated.

I sometimes had the same problems with the positioning. what helps is switching of manually (in Today) Throttle 2D. End the process of 2D and than applying the theme. Then re-enable Throttle 2D in Today.
The Theme I did myself no is going on/off the ppc several times before everything is the way I designed and with the above method never had any props with the weather.

Hi!
I just missed to READ the install instructions :) after some work on the xml file with xml marker it works just fine. The problem is where to put the weather decription... as for now it ends up under the city name. :)
Must move it (i dont want to remove it) to another place...

Hi.., Thank You for the marvellous icons, they are phuquin awesome :)
I am havin a problem..., I cannot get the icons to fill the full screen of my Omnia, even though I change the xml settings. How do I get your wikked work to fill the screen space from left to right as in your images.
Mine starts from the numerical degress of the weather to the right side of my Omnia screen. At the bottom, 3 of the 4-day forecast icons are inside your graphic whereas the 1st is outside - am that makes sense...? I woud include a screen shot but do not know how.

Hi Dino,
That wouldn't be a problem, but then you'll get confused when it's raining, but no lighting, and you still see lighting. It would misrepresent the weather condition. :confused:
Great job!!! do you have it in VGA?
No, this is for QVGA only. Sorry, I don't have VGA device.

Hi Jstar,
Another confused moment for me. Didn't the framed version work for you? Or maybe because it's too big in the file size, and dimension? Can you just using some screenshots, paint or photoshop to show me what you mean. We may not be on the same page.
Thanks for your compliment!

First thing, Omnia is 240X400, so it shouldn't be a problem in the horizontal position, IF you follow the installation instruction exactly.
Second is you'll have extra space in the vertical position. That's the space you'll need for the weather description. Lucky you. I don't have an Omnia to test, but I think it should be like the picture (I did this in Photoshop only) You can adjust them in the XML file.
Thanks for your compliment.

Did you change much in the HTCHomeSettings.xml other than positioning?
I made one change that was described in the original post. Nothing more, i will try to chnage the positioning of the city name and remove the line (that's described in the original post) and move the description to the right edge.
But i'm sorry to say that i'm not the right person to ask for help. I'm a begginer myself.

Hi Dino,
That wouldn't be a problem, but then you'll get confused when it's raining, but no lighting, and you still see lighting. It would misrepresent the weather condition. :confused:
Hi BeyondI...oh yeah youre right hehehe I didnt think about that. Well fpr me probably its just to show-off hehe so I dont mind seeing lightning even if its not :D

Hi Jstar,
Another confused moment for me. Didn't the framed version work for you? Or maybe because it's too big in the file size, and dimension? Can you just using some screenshots, paint or photoshop to show me what you mean. We may not be on the same page.
Thanks for your compliment!
no no..what i mean is not really like the framed but more of the samuraize versions..
everything works fine for me in manilla..theres no problem there.

The problem is that the weather icons CAN'T be position to the back like I could with SPB shell. And will all info like today temp, high, low temp, last update and location control, ect...if I convert the Samurai to M2D, I would cover all those infos.
I cheated with the "framed" version to make it look like it's in the very back, but it's not ;) I already asked Herg, but seems like the answer I can get right now is "time will tell" my friend.
Look at the mock picture I did in photoshop.

I converted these Extended Diamond weather graphics to be used with M2D plugins.
http://i279.photobucket.com/albums/kk155/BeyondInvisible2/XM2DRelease.jpg
I thought it was an easy convert, but turns out, I have to re-size all the graphics, and add 20 more icons.
So I'm sorry to say that these will not be available for public download, but through PM only.

Hi Guys,
I have a one question and I'm sorry if its has been post it in the pass!
I have htc touch, can I run Rain Animation with Manilla 2D
and how can I enable all the 5 days weather information? all I have is one page, as you can see in my image below
Ka911, of course the rain animation is for M2D. If you don't have rain ("It never rains in southern California" as a song goes) then you won't see it in action. But if you do have rain "all the time" as in Seattle, it would work on any phone running M2D plug-in.
The 5 day forecast? All I've seen is one day forecast and the extended next 4 days.

is it possible to make the manilla weather graphic suit greatbals layout c for spb mobile shell? without animation, though. it would look so well :)
i know there is something similar, but this looks better.
if it's not possible, thanks anyway, you're great.

One question: Why do you still use SPB shell?
M2D is way better, and is the "bell and whistle" for the moment. That is not to say M3D is coming strong.

These weather graphics only work with Manilla 2D. This installation file won't work for SPB Mobile Shell.
There are 44 weather icons. The pictures won't show all, but it's all there in the .cab file.

You're missing other graphics? What do you miss? I should have all included. Please check again.
Regarding the natural weather, I would love to do so, but unfortunately, there's no way to change the order of the weather icons to the back. So if I create one, it would cover other information, such as temperature, city names, and weather description :(

You can just disable TouchFlo2D and then replace your XML file. Then enable it again.
If it STILL doesn't let you replace the file, then disable TouchFlo2D, soft reset your phone, and then replace the XML file. After that, you can enable your TF2D again.

So to resolve the weather description not visible with my big weather icons, I added another weather tab. So that I can use one tab for big icons with all information, and the second tab for extended weather forecast.
Thanks mpenguin14 for helping with testing. I appreciate your time!

The installation is rather complicate. So please follow exactly the steps so you won't run into problem. Don't just run the .cab file. You'll have to edit YOUR HTCHomeSettings.xml file also.

Please read the following instructions and follow:
1. Please download and run the .cab file2-Page XM2D Weather Graphics from Megaupload (http://www.megaupload.com/?d=RVVB4U81)2. Edit the HTCHomeSettings.xml as follow:
Find:
<Image index="225" name="" />Replace with

These weather graphics only work with Manilla 2D. This installation file won't work for SPB Mobile Shell.
There are 44 weather icons. The pictures won't show all, but it's all there in the .cab file.

Ok, for some reason, it won't show me the night time graphics. It only shows the daytime ones, even in the middle of the night. Any suggestions?

hi, what do you mean by PM ??
Means for sale...
I posted big weather icons here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=436276
But they needs to be renamed properly then it will be much better than original small ones.
Or just wait its just question of time till they'll leak in some site...

One question. On the step by steo .xml edit, on this step:
""Match each ID (id="0" to id="40") with the values below:""
If we just replace what we have with a copy place instead of matching, will it work the same way?

I converted these Extended Diamond weather graphics to be used with M2D plugins.
I thought it was an easy convert, but turns out, I have to re-size all the graphics, and add 20 more icons.
So I'm sorry to say that these will not be available for public download, but through PM only.
please post to me?

You can update the weather data. If it still doesn't show night weather data, then the fix is here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2748126&postcount=3703).

Why are you so bitter? If you don't want to donate, that's fine. You don't have to mis-lead everybody like that. That's not very nice.

That means, yes, you can replace it. You can try to download the new link from Rapidshare. It should be OK.

@BeyondInvisible
Yep, I missed, as it was not bold and below the code box. No problem.
The Rapidshare link appears to be good but says that I've reached my limit. As I understand, it's a daily limit. Strange cause It would be my 1st today. I'll try later.
The framless megaupload link works fine. I'll install that one.
Thanks for the weather tab. Looks good and is more informative. Good idea.
One question: does this mean we could "second tab" another tab, say people, on M2D?

The 1st thing we are suposed to replace is
<Image index="225" name="" />
with
<Image index="225" name="" />
<Image index="226" name="hh_messaging_attachment.png" />
<Image index="227" name="hh_fw_tabbg_weather2.png" />

<Image index="230" name="hh_weather_down_arrow_press2.png" />
<Image index="231" name="hh_weather_down_arrow_release2.png" />
<Image index="232" name="hh_weather_up_arrow_press2.png" />
<Image index="233" name="hh_weather_up_arrow_release2.png" />
<Image index="234" name="hh_weather_seperateline2.png" />
<Image index="235" name="hh_weather_seperateline3.png" />
On my .xml I have 2 more entries after index 225:
<Image index="225" name="" />
<Image index="226" name="hh_messaging_attachment.png" />
<Image index="227" name="hh_fw_focus_background.png" />
</ImageList>
Pasting your code would make hh_messaging repeated and index 227 twice refering to diferent things. Should I delete my 226 entry and rename my 227 to 236? Will it work that way?

I might suggest one thing, and i am not sure if you can do it. On the second tab, when you have multiple cities selected, the arrow are poinintg <x> and if you press left or right it goes to next tab, and you need to do up or down to switch cities.
Would it be possible to make the <x> up and down instead.?

You mean to have the arrow flipped? See attached.
The arrows are positioned that way to look OK in one line, but you don't press R, or L. Just use Up or Down, or just swipe you finger up, and down.
If you'd like, you can use the attached .zip file. Just rename it to .cab and run it.

Your themed has been modified, so that's why I had to move some numbers around. Just unzip and replace the current XML file.

You mean to have the arrow flipped? See attached.
The arrows are positioned that way to look OK in one line, but you don't press R, or L. Just use Up or Down, or just swipe you finger up, and down.
If you'd like, you can use the attached .zip file. Just rename it to .cab and run it.

I did notice the arrows left to right. The link above mine had the arrows up n down? I might try it. Probably will fit better if the numbers are a tad higher.
Thanks for the file. It appears you did what I suggested. I can change the xml. the problem was another. If I have all default tabs selected (without the operator or myfafes) and add 2nd weather, M2d will not allow me to work with messaging tab. If I go to it by sliding my finger, it will only show the darkened background with the messaging icon over imposed but will not change the tab and remain like this till I slide anywhere else and open another tab. But when i simply press the messaging tab, the today image will freeze on the previous tab. Some times I can still change to other tabs, but the only way I know this is because the soft key change accordingly. The image remains frozen. If I turn of M2d and have no other today app, the frozen tab will remain as there, even though M2d is off. I tried turning M3d on top and off againg and the frozen tab was still there (not active).
Now, turning off one other tab w/ M2DC will allow me to use messaging tab and all other with no problem.
Question:
If we add 1 tab I will not be able to use 1 other?
Will deleting MyFavesWidget From the .xml allow me to have all the normal tabs + 2nd weather working?
It is strange because M2d was never able to open MyFaves and Operator was always blank.

I don't think anyone figured out how to use MyFaves and Operator just yet. So leave it disable for now.
The freezing in message tab happened with a lot of themes. You can go to the M2D themes thread, and find the fix for your theme. The reason was clearly explained by Probex there. It has nothing to do with the second weather tab, or weather graphics at all.
Good luck.

I'm going to say this one last time. And then I'll be off XDA site for good!
First, let me quote one line from Ilos from his Private Message to me:
"many guys come on this forum just to take and not for share... and when u provide something for free everybody think i'ts normal...so when u change something about your sharing that became a drama"
And drama that is.
I have provided many FREE weather graphics over the months (Check my first post)
For SPB Mobile Shell:
V.1.0: Initial release
V.1.1: Landscape supported
V.1.2: Samurai Diamond release
V.1.2.1: Samurai Diamond layouts fixed
V.1.2.2: Full Samurai Diamond release
V.1.3: Detail Weather Page Samurai Diamond release
V.1.4: Detail Weather Page Samurai Diamond with Night icons Release
V.1.4.1: Support for Greatbal's Diamond theme V.2 release
V.1.5: Natural Weather release
V.1.6: Weather Theme for Diamond V.1.2 release
V.1.7: Weather Theme for Diamond V.2.0 release
V.1.8: Omnia Stardock Weather graphic release
And for M2D:
V.1.9: Manilla 2D Weather Graphic realease
Framed version.
Winter Edition
Animated Rain (simple)
New Animated Rain (with bird and leaves flying)
2 Page Weather Edition
You can find all over XDA forums, Actualitemobile forums, PPCGeeks forums, and few others with my weather graphics being used on MANY different themes both for SPB Mobile Shell, and Manilla TouchFlo2D. Google "Beyond Invisible Weather Graphics" and see for yourself.
Now my first question: Did I ever ask for donation when posting those weather graphics online?
The answer is: NONE
What do I get out from those over 10,000 downloads (just weather graphics), not counting those themes with my weather graphics incorporated? A few "Thanks" that I can see.
It's not that I NEED you guys to praise me, but I really don't feel appreciated for my hard work at all.
So I decided to keep the latest release (so called the Non-Framed version) private, and just release to those who contributed a lot to the community, who doesn't have Paypal account, who are just students and have no money, or who are just talking very nice.
Come to find out, a lot of people sent me private message and simply just say "A download link to your non-frame would be nice", "Care to share a link to your non-frame graphics?", "Hey dude, where can I download your XM2D weather?", ect....
For some people I didn't even ask for donation, and they just want to give it to me anyways. There was one guy who donated money, and sent me PM saying that he felt like he HAD to give me donation. So I gave him a link to download my weather icons, and REFUNDED his money.
A lot of times, I helped fixing issue with SPB layouts, M2D settings, and custom graphics. And for those, I have never seen anyone come back and complain, and a few thank yous
My second question: Why am I asking for donation this time, since I always give FREE weather graphics online?
I have two answers for that:
1. I just want to see how many people will be willing to pay for something they like to use.
2. I'm on strike against my company. Now I don't want that to happen, but it's happening. I'm out of money, and need some money to support myself and my family.
For the first answer, what I found out is that every time I said the word "donation" people ran away. Out of 660 private messages as of today, only a few do give me donation.
For the second answer, I didn't think your donation would cover my time off from work, but at least I thought I can be your friend already, and you would just help me out a little bit. And what I found out is that true online friends are just fantasies. None exist.
Now this "drama" happened just because I didn't share my "non-framed" weather graphics.
Isn't that funny?
It seems like there is a group of people, who has nothing better to do than to take free stuffs, talking big like they know everything, shameless people who just take people's hard work and call it their own. Let's just read their posts over the months or years, and see what they have been doing.
For me, it does take A LOT OF TIME to create those graphics. That is not to say I have to work on the .dat file, .xml file, go through hundreds of trials and errors to come to those settings for SPB and M2D. Do you really think it takes 5 mins to adjust the XML settings? Maybe it's for you, because you just copy the code that I posted, but for me, to originally think of the solution, it DOES TAKE TIME.
The weathers icons from HTC Diamond DO NOT look the same like my graphics. And I have NEVER wanted my graphics to look like HTC Diamond's graphics. Because some of them really come from Diamond, so to be respectful, I didn't change the name of my weather graphics. I do call it "Diamond", "Samurai" "Stardock" ect....But my idea is to have it more graphical, and meaningful. Adding the birds is my idea, adding the frame is my idea, having snow on the grounds, lighting, rain drops is my idea. I was the first one to think of having FULL PAGE natural weather for SPB, and changing background depends on your weather condition is my idea. Adding a second weather tab to M2D is also my idea.
Whether you like it or not. I'm proud to say I have done GOOD and contribute a lot to the community!
I don't mind people taking my stuffs, modify it and call it their own, as long as they give me the credit. What is so hard to give others the credits? I have seen many people use my weathers in their themes without giving me the credit, but I didn't say anything. I don't want to ruin their moment of pseudo flame.
The good thing is: A LOT of people here in XDA forums KNOWS who the first one that creates those weather graphics.
So it brings to an end on everything. I'm tired of dealing with life, I thought I could get away with it by doing the graphics and hanging out online with friends. But it looks like Ilos, the very new person I have never talked to in the past, is TOTALLY right on: Free stuff is OK, but donation creates drama!
So for one last time, I THANK YOU ALL, who has giving me the online friendship, compliments, and donation. If it's not because of you, I, Beyond Invisible would never make it to GOOGLE search. :)
So long, and good luck my friends!

I think many people misinterpreted the word "DONATION",
Donation is when someone CHOOSE to give, when payment is REQUIRED its not donation its a sale.
If BeyondInvisible would write "Non framed icons - 10$" there would be no "drama", who can&want would buy it, others would not - simple as that.
Sorry to see BeyondInvisible leave but he can't blame the "drama" on someone else.
Good luck.

that in itself is a shady post..dont u think?
u came in here boasting about the fact that the icons were posted for FREE.. deny it as much as u'd like..those icons are dupes! but thats irrelevant at this point.. the harm has been done and another great contributor to the site is lost.
look we all gotta live, eat, and feed our families..some are in diffrent hardships than others..if u or the other member who leaked the icons, took the mistaken english of one mans wording and thru it out the window..then ur the wrong doer in that situation.
language barrier, its been around since the beginning of time, im sure u know that..and considering this site has members GLOBALLY english isnt always that easy.
now Beyond did say "can he get a small simple donation", if you can..NOT that its required, would be greatly appreciated..nothing more...also mentioned..to simply PM him for the icon set from what i remember.. But to get to the point where someone, ( whos english as u can see from that thread is more of an issue that Beyonds ), can plainly go against the man's wishes just to get ahead.. like a hack, or an exposure of his works.. is wrong..and Beyond, as anyone would took offense!
hows the saying go : "all it takes is one bad apple to ruin it for the bunch"

I hate to see you go Man.
I'm one of the people that donated to your work.
I did so because I appreciate all the hard work you did.
I've done that for a few of the folks on here that have made all this possible.
I don't understand why this is do hard for people to understand.
I told you previously that I felt compelled to donate right away.
Let me be clear about my meaning. I wasn't ready to use your weather icons yet but when I saw people crying on here wanting for free and showing no appreciation for you work, I felt like I had to donate because it wasn't fair for others to behave that way.
I hope that you will reconsider and continue your great work. I really like the second tab idea with forecast info and I'm sure you've got more tricks up your sleeve. Without guys like you around, this site wouldn't last.
Thanks...

sorry to see you go, I am just starting to take classes at college for graphic design, so i understand how long it takes to make something, many hours until you have something you are happy about. And then to just have people take that and not give you credit.
I made ROM for the Alltel Vogue, and i was google one day and saw someone had reposted MY stuff on thier site calling it their own, that really pissed me off.
So i understand where you are coming from. and it will be sad to see you go, but you always did do some great work. The best graphics around.
So Thank you for all the hard work you have done. and Sorry about all of this.

For that, you have to edit the HTC settings.xml (check the post for more info). You can edit that in the Notebook application on the PC. :)

Your comments reek of ignorance. It deeply saddens me that you feel as though you were fighting for the side of "good" in your mind. How you can feel as though chasing off MAJOR contributor was good work on your part is beyond me. You should feel embarrassed for the inconvenience you put on the members of this community, but i doubt that you are, because upon reading your posts (i know i am late, but i have been away from XDA for several days) it is clear to me that you care only about yourself and not what is good for the community.
This issue is personal to you, because you asked for graphics and didn't get them. How unfortunate for you. I can't imagine why a person who put lots of time and effort into creating something as beautiful as his weather graphics wouldn't want to just GIVE them to person like you who has been a jerk to him.
I dont' know where you got the idea that anyone on the site is obligated to give you anything. If beyondinvisible decided that only people who's name begins with "C" would get free graphics, that is his choice. If you don't like it, then use some other graphics, or create your own and give them away for free. It is HIS work that you're asking him to give away. It should be noted that you're really the only person fighting this battle. So who are you fighting it for? Are you helping anyone here with what you're doing? Do you plan on some major contribution to the site to help make up for what we've lots on your account? If not, then i would ask that next time you find a major contributor's work offensive, you simply keep your mouth shut and let the rest of us enjoy it.

"Thank you for this amazing theme!"
I skipped to the last page to tell you that simple frase. I am really gratefull for all the people who contribute to this forum. They do an amazing job, giving us all kind of great stuff to tweak and adjust our Kaiser. Because of you I AM loving my Kaiser and I won't get jealous on those phony iPhone owners.
The point I am getting to is that I saw the last commends in this thread and got a litle shocked by what I read. Then I read your last commend and got really shocked!
I'm sorry for the things that happened to you. I can't believe that people behave like that on this forum. It's not okay to just consume and don't give credits to the creator of the stuff you collect.
This kind of graphic design does take loads of time. I'm a student in Interactive Mediadesign and things like this theme can take so much of your time to create. And I am nothing near as good as you are.
Sorry to see you go. Somewhere I do understand it, but I sertainly hope you find the peace to get back here sometime. AND in that case I hope people wil give you the credits you deserve.
Thank you..

I'm going to say this one last time...
I have to say that a number of roms that I have seen use and pay tribute to BeyondInvisible for the weather tabs, and with good reason. His contributions were both great and many. To see him leave over an issue as what boils down to something that is massed produced everyday is disheartening, especially when it was termed a donation. There have been times when i feel a "product" is truly worth a donation, and I oblige!
I feel that this forum is somewhat of a separatists movement, in the fact that everyone here (for whatever reason) wants to improve their branded device beyond what the "man" has ordained. With that said, we as a community should support all those who frequent these pages (in my opinion, those that are heavy contributors more than others). I'm sure not everyone will agree with what I say, but that is understandable. We're not all cut from the same cloth, but we do all thrive in this same community.
One last note, I also find it amusing that amist all this heavy talk of different views, there are people still yelping for help with the very things that BeyondInvisible pointed out in the last page... :)

PM through what?

I get into arguements with a couple of my friends who have knelt before the almighty iPhone. They try to sway me to the dark side. Each time I shut them up by sending them to this forum as well as PPC Geeks; and I let them know that the members here are doing more for PPC Windows OS based phones IN THEIR SPARE TIME for free and doing it better, faster and customized then anything provided for the iPhone through the insanely priced iStores. By the end of the argument and after looking at the work that you and many others have done.... I win! Thank you very much for the hard work and time you put into this for guys like me. I am on the cusp of starting to build my own ROMs, and what you do will always be part of it. Please watch for a donation from me, and know that you and everyone else who posts their work here for all are greatly appreciated!!

this 'theme' doesn't work in MikiBest's fast switch and customization theme. :confused:

I haven't checked out this thread in quite a while, and first I want to say how sorry I am to see Beyond Invisible leave. He was a talented guy with a lot to offer (which he did on a regular basis). Seeing some of the stuff that he did, actually got me interested in cooking my own ROM and customizing my PDA.
Secondly, whoever the f'tard was who decided to cry like a little girl because someone actually asked for donations to download a different version of THEIR WORK, needs to man up. The people on this site bust their asses to create some pretty awesome stuff. If you don't like the fact that you actually had to ask to download something, then find something else.
Whining and bitching about it doesn't do anyone any good. All that its done is sent a nice and talented guy away from this forum and you now look like an ass of biblical proportion.
Just my personal opinion....agree or disagree, who cares. :p
Beyond, you will be missed by those of us who honestly appreciated everything you shared.

Hi Hallucination,
Thanks for your donation again.
Sure, you can post it on the forums. There's no "money" or "donation" involved this time, so I guess there will not be any drama, if you know what I mean.
By the way, if you post it, please include these for installation instructions:
1. Download from Megaupload this new NOEL N2D Weather Graphics:
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=TFNBWITK
2. Edit HTCHomeSettings.xml with the values below:
a) Find:
</ImageList>
Replace with:
<Image index="229" name="hh_fw_bigicon_weather2.png" />
<Image index="230" name="hh_weather_down_arrow_press2.png" />
<Image index="231" name="hh_weather_down_arrow_release2.png" />
<Image index="232" name="hh_weather_up_arrow_press2.png" />
<Image index="233" name="hh_weather_up_arrow_release2.png" />
<Image index="234" name="hh_weather_seperateline2.png" />
<Image index="235" name="hh_weather_seperateline3.png" />
<Image index="236" name="hh_fw_tabbg_weather2.png" />
<Image index="237" name="hh_fw_tabicon_weather2.png" />
</ImageList>
b) Find:
<WeatherWidget enable="1" tab_bg_icon="27,28" tab_icon="176,177" big_icon="67,68" />
Replace with:
<WeatherWidget enable="1" tab_bg_icon="27,28" tab_icon="176,177" big_icon="67,68" />
<WeatherWidget2 enable="1" tab_bg_icon="236,28" tab_icon="237,177" big_icon="229,68" />

That should be it. They probably know how to do it. If not, I hope they can get some help. My email is still open.

I know that BeyondInvisible is no longer here, but can someone answer this question for me please?
At night it is showing the image of the sun? the temperature and weather reading is fine compared to the AccuWeather site but i am getting the wrong image.
Now i have read through all the pages and seen that it has come up before and the fix was to follow this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2748126&postcount=3703
But i have already done this and before i installed BeyondInvisible's cab it worked perfect.
Can anyone here help?
btw im sorry to see BeyondInvisible go, his work is amazing!
Pity some people are so narrow minded!

If BeyondInvisible's cab worked perfect, then what's the problem?
Maybe if you tell us more in detail, we'll be able to help. If you're using SPB weather, it won't show the moon at night, and the sun in daytime. SPB does not have current weather forecast. Also, if you're using M2D, does it automatic update your weather data? When it's showing the sun at night, did you look at the "last update" status?

Ok i am using M2D weather, i have edited the HH_0409_WeatherCities.xml file and added in my local city. it works fine with the latest weather update BEFORE i installed weather graphics by BeyondInvisible.
After installed the cab and the updated HTCHomeSettings.xml so that it displays properly, the weather is updating ok but at night instead of showing a moon with clouds (cloudy weather at night) it shows a sun with clouds :s
i can try to update it as many times as possible and it says update complete but still shows the sun. I have checked the latest weather reports with Accuweather online and the weather results there are the same to mine on my phone with the exception of the sun showing...

I think he posted the fix somewhere (here or ppcgeeks) for the cloudy nights. Why don't you shoot an email to him and find out? He answered my emails pretty quick. Sorry I can't help you with this.

is there an easier way to install these graphics I've tried the cab but it has random boxes of graphics on the bottom..?
I have the same issue. I have the bottom 4 graphics on the first weather page. they are the same ones as on the 2nd weather page except in the original location (before the modification) I'm not sure what to remove from the XML.
I have attached my XML to view. can someone let me know what to change on the XML to get this problem resolved? Thanks for your help.
EDIT: I figured it out. I had to edit this line in my XML under the first weather widget and add the numbers you see here.
<Property name="IDWEWG_SEPERATELINE_POS1" id="31" value="666,201,37,145" />
<Property name="IDWEWG_SEPERATELINE_POS2" id="32" value="0,666,0,168" />
I think that this pushes the smaller icons down off the screen in the first weather screen.

Please read the following instructions and follow:
1. Please download and run the .cab file
2-Page XM2D Weather Graphics from Megaupload (http://www.megaupload.com/?d=RVVB4U81)
2-Page XM2D Weather Graphics from RapidShare (http://rapidshare.com/files/155186798/2PageXM2DWeather.cab)
2. Edit the HTCHomeSettings.xml as follow:
Find:
<Image index="226" name="hh_messaging_attachment.png" />
Replace with
<Image index="226" name="hh_messaging_attachment.png" />
<Image index="227" name="hh_fw_tabbg_weather2.png" />
<Image index="228" name="hh_fw_tabicon_weather2.png" />
<Image index="229" name="hh_fw_bigicon_weather2.png" />
<Image index="230" name="hh_weather_down_arrow_press2.png" />
<Image index="231" name="hh_weather_down_arrow_release2.png" />
<Image index="232" name="hh_weather_up_arrow_press2.png" />
<Image index="233" name="hh_weather_up_arrow_release2.png" />
<Image index="234" name="hh_weather_seperateline2.png" />
<Image index="235" name="hh_weather_seperateline3.png" />
Find:
<WeatherWidget enable="1" tab_bg_icon="27,28" tab_icon="176,177" big_icon="67,68" />
Replace with:
<WeatherWidget enable="1" tab_bg_icon="27,28" tab_icon="176,177" big_icon="67,68" />
<WeatherWidget2 enable="1" tab_bg_icon="227,28" tab_icon="228,177" big_icon="229,68" />
Find:
<WeatherWidget>

I installed this wonderful piece of work yesterday and I really enjored it. It takes my stress away just by looking at weather from various parts of the world. Even my wife and kids are enjoying it.
I actually got it from a forum in ppcgeeks. Then I followed this originating thread, all 63 pages,only to find that the originator has left. It's sad.
I have a small problem though - the 'up arrow' is placed below the 'down arrow' (see attachment). So when I tap the up arrow, the pages moves down. The down arrow functions ok.
So I tried changing these lines (which I suppose positions the arrows)
<Property name="IDWEWG_DOWNARROW_POS" id="14" value="216,116,307,74" />
<Property name="IDWEWG_UPARROW_POS" id="15" value="216,90,300,74" />
to
<!--Property name="IDWEWG_DOWNARROW_POS" id="14" value="216,116,307,74" /-->
<!--Property name="IDWEWG_UPARROW_POS" id="15" value="216,90,300,74" /-->
hoping that it will delete the arrows, but it positions the arrows at the top left corner of the graphics.
How can I rectify this. Can the arrows be removed as I can do without them.
Help is appreciated.

Did you try to "move" them out of the way?
By specify the X or Y value to his favorite number "666", right Beyond?
Try this:
<Property name="IDWEWG_DOWNARROW_POS" id="14" value="666,116,307,74" />
<Property name="IDWEWG_UPARROW_POS" id="15" value="666,90,300,74" />
How did you end up with messed up arrows like that, by the way?

Thanks Hallucination99 for the suggestion. I have no idea how I messed up the 'up arrow' positioning. I followed all the installation instructions given.
Anyway, I managed to position the 'up arrow' to where it should be (above the number) with this adjustments
<Property name="IDWEWG_UPARROW_POS" id="15" value="216,55,300,74" >
I am not sure why the gap between the 'up' and 'down' arrows is that big.
I'll try your suggestion later today and share the result. But why 666 and not just, say 300, which is already out of the screen width.
Thanks.

I don't know. Ask Beyond :P
Look at all his positions. He likes to use 666 for some reasons :) 300 can be a problem if you turn to landscape (320)
I was told 666 is evil number hahaha

So to resolve the weather description not visible with my big weather icons, I added another weather tab. So that I can use one tab for big icons with all information, and the second tab for extended weather forecast.
Thanks mpenguin14 for helping with testing. I appreciate your time!

The installation is rather complicate. So please follow exactly the steps so you won't run into problem. Don't just run the .cab file. You'll have to edit YOUR HTCHomeSettings.xml file also.
Please read the following instructions and follow:
1. Please download and run the .cab file
2-Page XM2D Weather Graphics from Megaupload (http://www.megaupload.com/?d=RVVB4U81)
2-Page XM2D Weather Graphics from RapidShare (http://rapidshare.com/files/155186798/2PageXM2DWeather.cab)
2. Edit the HTCHomeSettings.xml as follow:
Find:
<Image index="226" name="hh_messaging_attachment.png" />
Replace with
<Image index="226" name="hh_messaging_attachment.png" />
<Image index="227" name="hh_fw_tabbg_weather2.png" />
<Image index="228" name="hh_fw_tabicon_weather2.png" />
<Image index="229" name="hh_fw_bigicon_weather2.png" />
<Image index="230" name="hh_weather_down_arrow_press2.png" />
<Image index="231" name="hh_weather_down_arrow_release2.png" />
<Image index="232" name="hh_weather_up_arrow_press2.png" />
<Image index="233" name="hh_weather_up_arrow_release2.png" />
<Image index="234" name="hh_weather_seperateline2.png" />
<Image index="235" name="hh_weather_seperateline3.png" />
Find:
<WeatherWidget enable="1" tab_bg_icon="27,28" tab_icon="176,177" big_icon="67,68" />
Replace with:
<WeatherWidget enable="1" tab_bg_icon="27,28" tab_icon="176,177" big_icon="67,68" />
<WeatherWidget2 enable="1" tab_bg_icon="227,28" tab_icon="228,177" big_icon="229,68" />
Find:
<WeatherWidget>
Match each ID (id="0" to id="40") with the values below:

I've been using this for a few weeks now (I like it very much) until I come across this weather in Luzern (snowing), the graphics seem to miss the square background (see attachment). I've checked with all other cities with snowing weather, all has the same missing square background.
Can anyone tell which line in the HTCHomeSettings.xml is responsible so that I can edit/add.

I think you didn't install the Full M2D Weather from this post:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2682292&postcount=448
That will include the winter version, which has the "snow" in there.

These weather graphics only work with Manilla 2D. This installation file won't work for SPB Mobile Shell.
There are 44 weather icons. The pictures won't show all, but it's all there in the .cab file.

What do you mean by "Analog clock is blank on my screen" ? No analoge clock? No hour or minute hands?

I don't think there's a "seconds" hand. What you might think a "seconds" hand is actually the "alarm" hands when you set alarm on.

I found this on the net, and emailed BeyondInvisible for his weather images. With his permission, I'll post it here so everyone can enjoy.
Happy Holiday.

By right, installing the weather graphics should not interfere with TF2D. Worst case is the graphics doesn't appear well. Did the weather works fine before installing "beyond invinsible" ? Try removing "beyond invinsible" and see if it works back to default.

By right installing the 2 weather pages does not interfere with the other tabs.

So I'm sorry to say that these will not be available for public download, but through PM only.
wow..it's so wonderful ..pls send me to try it...?
can i ask some question...i use htc touch2...doest it work?
thank you

Hey guys there is an incredible Weather Animation app called "Touch Weather" shown in the youtube video below that is a great addition to spb mobile shell or any other interface. Its the best weather app ive ever seen. Only downfall is that you have to download a russian keyboard to put in you city name. It only accepts Russian characters. But if you can find or buy the full version. I used an invisible icon from mskips theme right on top my weather icon on my clock. It opens right up and i have full animation for 7 days and nights. Just watch the little youtube video and you will be wanting to use it. The app works independently. you do not need mobile shell, touch shell, or m2d.

I can only second that, it is the best weather program ever. Smooth and cool animations and scrolling. The best of the best.

Since beyondinvisible has left the forum, I'm somewhat stymied in my attempts to obtain the "PM Only" XM2D weather graphics. I plan on doing some icon cleanup for a TitaniumWeather variant in a ROM I'm working on that features myLocation serivices and the "Beyond" icon set. Since a few of the default "Beyond" graphics fill the viewing area and lead to noticeable square boarders, I need to replace/redraw or graft from other artwork.
Does anybody know how I can ping beyondinvisible or otherwise obtain this artwork?

It is an awesome program. But I cannot find what the various icons do at the bottom of the screen. For example, how would I register it? What are the information icons on the screen when you press on the screen? I figured out sunrise and sunset but what are the others?

The thing is the weather of SPB MS is so wrong. You can read in other threads there are lots who complain about it. Compare it with other weather apps like Pocket Weather or the deafult HTC Today weather.
Then theres this SPB Weather app, where we can customize the weather source (like Weather.com) to get a more accurate weather forecast. Thats why I installed this app.
But the question is....where does SPB MS get its weather data? Does it have its own source and can we customize it? If I install SPB Weather...can I incorporate it with SPB Mobile Shell's weather tab?
My SPB MS gets it weatherforecasts from GISMETEO. It allows me to download the actual weather information from the airport in my hometown.
The SPB MS built-in weather is just to use the weather widget with the option to NOT spend money on "SPB Weather". I have installed SPB Weather and together it's like the perfect weather app. I never have trouble and absolutely NOTHING to complain about, except for the widgets looks. Sometimes my "Rainy Cloud" is blue, sometimes it is white and i have no idea why or how to fix it. I don't like the blue ones^^
