If i press FLASH.exe, does it rewrite the rom over my 6.1 ROM?
Or will it just flash the radio(nothing else)?

It will just flash the radio, don't worry

I reverted back to Radio 4.1.13.54_03.10.90.

I had some issue making calls and receiving them.

I also noticed 2 calls I received did not connect for some reason. I'm not in my home country so it might have been a network/roaming issue - but I'll be going back to .54 also Is it possible to flash RADIO from SD? I should simply be able to rename to vox0img.nbh and get into bootloader to do so, si?

by "RADIO" people here are discussing about the portion of the firmware which handles the tx/rx hardware of the vox...and not about the FM/AM radio.

the "radio" is responsible for making and receiving calls. its the basic piece that makes your phone, a phone.

it updates the firmware of the GSM radio module which is responsible for making GSM/GPRS calls/messages. :D:eek:

So updating this makes my calls and messages ...

Updating it will give you the newest firmware for your GSM module as stated above. It may fix possible issues with dropped calls or low reception, it may also cause issues depending on your location.

Flash it, if you find any performance is degraded, drop back down.

cool, hope the reception is better than my Nokia N90. When indoors it was almost impossible to take a call.

Any more observations on this radio? I am on the previous version and am curious if it will improve anything.

i dont think this radio version is good. i had few call drops and also high reduction in quality. i switched back to Dr.' Gonzos default version. The best one is hawaii's suggested one..
