Made a new clock in flash to imitate the diamond clock, with full animation.

I'm descontinuing this clock, since its now embebed with the animated weather, in the version 8 and called "Tempus".

Tempo is a portuguese word that describes both the time as the weather.

It works as good as POCKET THEME MANAGER, you can have the plugin on top, transparent and it works with a 24 fps version.

thanks man, tried it with that animated today program/plugin and it works fine. i wanna remove the seconds tab though and reproportion the times so it fits better within the white boxes but dont have flash program to do it with

I installed the animated today program, together with flash.
I can get he flash animation working in the flash player, but how can I make it work as a clock??

Could anyone post a cab of the free trial of Animated Today? I don't use ActiveSync, which somehow crashes my touch by not letting it connect to my router (I've already tried four or five times with the same result, need to hard-reset).

You made great!!!! Congrats and thank you... it works with animated today (the same version you have :))
How it be connected to htc home? I have the same issue as it was mentioned namely that your clock can not be used together with the htc home on the today because of the sizes (and of course double clock is useless) but I also miss the other features of htc home.

One suggestion: I think it could be also useful to reduce the clock size a bit (to 2/3 size of the present) and fill the white flips with the numbers more (now the numbers are 1/2 size of the flips)

Anyway thank you for your great work and keep up improving!!!!

Nice job. I really like it and i'm using, but i removed the bottom bar (windows mobile 2003 se) and when i try to make a diferent *.tsk, i need to make it in a diferent program such as pocket pc themes toolkit and install on pocket pc with the program pocket theme manager 2...well it's a long story but i need, if you want, the *.swf file to make a diferent theme to me.

I do not use the tray, I use the full screen and this mucks it up a bit.

More fixes and features:
- 12 hour clock was showing 00 at 12 hours
- The date wasnt changing after midnight
- Added Portuguese dates (by clicking on the date tab)
- Added AM/PM symbols behind the seconds tab, to see it, just hide the seconds and change the clock to 12 hours time (to hide the seconds or change the hours just click on them)

Updated the original post with the TSK.

gaiden, you can remove the seconds by clicking on them, but I have no way to read if the alarm is set or not, Also, I cannot send people to a program because this was done in flash 6, if I change it to flash lite then I'll be able to link to programs, but that means no one above WM5 could use it, since Flash Lite only exists to WM5 and 6.

delta37, I can post the buttons here (in this post, not the first one), but be warned that I didnt made the full skin, only those showing. also, the numbers in messages/lost calls only work in WM5/6, so you should delete that part in the RLtoday skin and just use the links.

AndyInParadise, good question, I've been wanting to change that too, the trial version I tested first didnt had that, just the full version, there must be a registry value we can change in order to remove that, if anyone finds it let us know please.

You mean remove the date tab? Even if I do that it still doesnt give you the extra space you have in the bottom, what you need to do it take the SWF and, with the pocket theme manager 2 software change the animation size so that will only show 100 pixels.

Quick question...I am currently using spb mobile shell 2.1 with a theme creating in XDA by greatbal (diamond theme - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=402021). Is there any possible way to incorporate your clock into that theme? I know this would require some level of hacking mobile shell, but was not sure if it is even possible. your clock on that theme would be ridiculous!!!!

There WILL be bugs with the languages, so please tell me wich are so I can fix them.
The Chinese language is a problem, that font doesnt have the characters needed, I'm hoping that in a chinese OS the missing characteres are changed to another font, let me know if this happens.

I still dont know how some dates are said in a specific language.

I uploaded the SWF (in the first post) so that you can see the flash animation before you install, Moshinho, you can download that file for now to use with you theme manager, in the end I'll upload the full source-code.

of course i have flash 7 installed.
I installed the FlashTheme Player and FlashMates, as FlashMates requested FlashTheme Player.
I then soft-restarted my Device and... was greeted with a blank Today Screen after switching of HTC Home and activating the FlashThemes Today Plugin.
Since all of this has been to no avail, i think i'll skip this and be on my way with my puny HTC Home...

FlashMates I didnt test, to be honest, FLASHTHEMES worked for me but had other bugs, I also had to remake the TSK with the swf, you can try that, but only if the previews that came with the software worked, mine should work then as well, after you REcreate the TSK.

With a theme editor/creator that allows swf files to be embebbed, I'm using 'pocket theme manager 2' but it doesnt let me choose VGA, only Qvga...sorry

Found one, use any of your TSK files and insert the swf (its the a2tk.swf that is inside your windows folder) with 226 size. ;)

i have the animated flash screen running with the black lite clock running and looking great

but i have a little prob with the colour of the top and bottom taskbars which are a lighter

black/grey colour but i want them black

could you tell me how to change the colours plz

and when i click the start button all the text for drop down menu icons isnt there unless i

highlight the icon is there a patch or reg hack to ammend these probs ?

ive attached 2 pics of my today screen which i cant finish off

ive mentioned b4 everything is black apart from the bottom bar where calendar and contacts is......would the animated theme injector allow me to change the size of the clock ?
and the other pic is when i have the animated clock running the text disapears

oh... now i got it, that was a mistake from my part, install theme manager to your pc or edit your theme with any other editor.

I painted by mistake the text of the start menu black... :(

well, I already gave a separated version to the throttle author, it has the weather, clock, aquarium and a little something extra, its already in betatesting and should be released soon.

well, to have that exact today apearance youll need all of them, each with its custom skin. The font (its only for rltoday) needs to be on \windows\fonts

I'm descontinuing this clock, since its now embebed with the animated weather, in the version 8 and called "Tempus".

Tempo is a portuguese word that describes both the time as the weather.

and not working for GMT + countries.

there's no other flash plugin for today screen besides "flash today"? because i don't like the way it uses my resources/looks..

Another question, in the "enhanced version" whenever i change the settings and i change the position the settings return to default.. is there a way to change default settings to avoid always changing it?

Sorry, you have to understand this was one of the first things I did in flash for Windows Mobile, there werent many flash tools or any way to use its full potencial, so its very outdated with the new stuff out there. ;)

As explained in the end of the first post, this clock was later upgraded to this one:

...in it, you will find the SWF, but bear in mind that that NOKIA doesnt allow external variables or touchscreen, so none of the touchscreen and settings options will work. :(

You can also export the contents of the TSK if you rename its extension to CAB and export with WINRAR.
