Unable to shut down Polaris

I apologize if this problem has been resolved or mentioned in previous posts. I am unable to turn off my Polaris (hold down power button to shut off). I'm pretty sure that the problem is coming from either HTC home plugin 2.1 or HTC customize 1.0, since the problem has been mentioned in previous posts.

I searched the forum, but the only answer i found so far was to perform a hard reset and not install either program.

Has anybody found a way to fix this bug?

So I kind of fixed it.

I ended up uninstalling my current HTC home 2.1 and found a different version. You can probably find the cab file via google, its called "HTC.Home.v2.1.1005.722.Directory.And.Brightness.Fi x.schen.cab"

To be on the safe side, I'd recommend uninstalling the HTC customize program and then reinstalling it after installing the new version of HTC home 2.1. (don't know if that makes a difference)

I can now turn off the phone. However, the program to change the brightness on the launcher in HTC home 2.1 doesn't work anymore. It's a small sacrifice...
