There is a new build out of Igo, this one seems to work with HTC home enabled!!!! also the timezone is fixed!!!

I tested it and it works, so its wasnt HTC home that wasnt the issue, IGO was!! :)

mine worked the first time I started it, and now it freezes every time at the starting screen and I have to pull out the battery and soft reset. I am running the Niki radio, I am going to try a different radio and see what happens

No new release on official website and no update with content manager .It's just a cooked and a warez version ! Igo8 is available only in memory card format,Diamond doesn't have extended memory card !!!

update: I had the Nikki radio and I flashed the 1.65.20.29 with the exact same results. As soon as the GPS is activated it freezes my phone on both radios :(

After the installation I can not start the Nav N Go iGO 8 on HTC Kaiser/TyTN II with Windows Mobile 6.1. What should I do?
Turn off the HTC on the Today screen: Start/Settings/Personal/Today/Appearance-> WM6.1 instead of Htc
Start/Settings/Personal/Today /Items-> take the "tick" from the HTC Home square and then OK on the right upper corner.
Make a softreset.

Woohoo!!! turning of a-GPS with kaisertweak did the trick...
Now it's working.
And tomtom also has it's fix much quicker now!!!

I just used advanced config and turned off Auto gps... we shall see if this works!!

Edit: So the program works and i get a GPS lock, but I downloaded my state map and it still shows just a blank green screen and i cant search for any address because there is no keyboard.

Sorry to repeat myself... It seems like all of you here have iGo 8 and some has got it to work in WM 6.1. Could someone kindly let me know if iGo 8 has Text-to-Speech feature? That is, it announces/reads the street name before the next turn.

This is a dream come true. I have tried the latest HyperDragon and L26 v9. I can't get Igo to run in either. I have tried the latest Igo version clean and upgrading the TTS version on both of the ROMs listed above. I spent the entire morning yesterday trying this on the HyperDragon Lite and the afternoon was killed when L26 released the his v9. I had to put my image of good ole 4-29 back on again which is not a bad thing, I just miss the speed and responsiveness from the previous ROMs.

Does anyone have any suggestive input on what I'm doing wrong. PM me if necessary as the subject can veer from forum rules. Thanks.

I have almost the exact opposite experience. For me igo is routinely off by about 60-100 yards off but only when approximating addresses and house numbers...tom tom was about 20 yards off for my street addresss, the turn by turn directions are spot on though....but I tried the sampler for tom tom 7 and its way off for me with directions. The housing numbers are correct, but the directions consistently have me turning right and then immediately u-turning to go somewhere instead of just saying turn left to begin with.

With HTC home enabled, when I insert the SD, It installs and never gets to the Igo boot screen. I am going to flash back to v9 and get back @ it again. Igo installs & runs without the HTC Home enabled.

I have done the update from the TTS Susan Voice edition and I have tried the just the application with no maps, buildings, pois or anything with the same results.

It works on L26 Diamond rom v9, only with A-GPS turned off from advanced config. But it wont see any of the maps I put on the SD card in the maps folder.

Anyone able to use the USA maps , If so which version of the maps ?

I'm using the latest version referenced in this thread. However, my problem is that I can't get the GPS module to be detected when I run the GPS configuration. It always states that the GPS module is not found. I've ran QuickGPS, disabled aGPS with AdvancedConfig, and unchecked Windows auto-management of the GPS. Does anyone have any idea why iGo 8 does not detect the GPS module (running L26_V9)?

Ok so after turning off aGPS it finaly starts but after 5-10 seconds i get an error:
(L26 v9)

I think I read that this error occurs because iGO cannot coop with NL postal codes from your contacts (it tries to find them automatically). You have to move all your maps into another dir (or rename dir) and leave the base map in place. Restart iGO, you'll get some kind of other Error.
After that error move the maps back (or re-rename dir) and iGO will work fine. It worked for me.

Maybe this will work for only the Dutch Map, but I haven't tried that.

I can't seem to get my iGO8 properly updated.. Perhaps I'm doing it wrong.

When I get updated to the new version, I have *no* map POI's, only my user POIs. I tried resetting everything, still no map POI's. Can't figure out what's going on.

I've gone back to the previous version, which is fine. Anyone heard of this before?

I can't seem to get my maps imported into TomTom. Do I have to use the TomTomHome app to install them? Or can I just put them on the SD card and have it recognize them? It sees the maps on the SD card but says it can't activate them or something like that.

google will find it and put it as destination.
then i can route it without knowing the exact address.

i have igo 8.
i cant find an option to find a POI without knowing the exact street address.

is there a way to just search thru POI and mark as destination-- like google

Im pretty sure i messed up the registry when i fixed my problem with QuickGPS.

The error with a-GPS checked is that iGO freezes at on startup and the the only way to get past that is to do a soft reset. That was NOT my problem.

It should be UnChecked so iGO can start, mr nub.

Regarding a-gps, I use the same solution that I used on my titan and everything works:
- Run with AstrolaunchGPS (see either here or at ppcgeeks)

agps gives me instant locks usually. Ocassionally I need to soft reset. QuickGPS can be enabled or disabled - it doesn't seem to make a difference.
One big issue that I have is that my new POIs don't work. I can adcd .kml files and maps but the POIs seem fixed. I have a feeling that this might be a result of igo only scanning on first install?

Also, on first install I get a hang. This is because astrolaunch is not yet running, but this is harmless, whenever I run with astro, everthing works well.

I have my GPS mode at 4. Not sure if this is better than 2. Aparrently it is a hybrid mode, in case my cell reception is bad but my GPS locks still exist.
