Where are all of the x7510 owners??? Why no posts? Should it have its own section of the forum?
I'm still unsure about whether or not to buy one. If I were to get an old x7500 could I load on an x7510 ROM and if I did apart from the k/b and 16GB what would the difference in user experience be?
Any thoughts, pos or negative would be appreciated.

Technically, the X7510 still is an Athena device, its internal name is the ATHE400. That would make it part of trhe current Athena forum
(but I am open to other suggestions :-)

I think the moderators should at least open a new heading for the X7510 under the Athena forum.

Ha ha! Yeah I'm still tempted....I like the idea of the new k/b but you can pick up a new x7500 for about £300 on ebay if you keep an eye out and so I'm just still not sure what the benefits are (apart from the sheer joy of having a new toy!)...I'm even considering getting (another) shift....

I think a new haeding under the Athena group for X7510 users would be good...at the minute I think people will think it is only for X7500.
Cheers!

I was considering the shift before, but the battery life and bigger size turned me away from it. I got myself a Fujitsu U810 instead...and I am very happy with it. I ain't buying anymore big laptops, unless if I intend to use it as my home desktop because they are really cheap now.

Got mine yesterday. Mixed feelings so far. I love all the storage space. But it seems slow. Had Universal before with one of the WM6.1 ROMs from here. It felt snappier. Video playback seems quite choppy, where I didn't have issues on the Universal.
Need a few more days of testing. Seems like we need some custom ROMs from the experts here. Probably better than the ROMs HTC comes up with.

Same experience here, though I must say that I simply love the keyboard.
Can you compare something for me? When you go into the notes application and you use the stylus to select text going from end to start of a sentence, can you pull/select all the way to the edge of the screen or does it end a few millimetres from the edge?

Have you guys tried an over clocking application?
XCPUScalar: http://www.immiersoft.com/
Pocket Hack Master: http://www.wizcode.com/products/view/pocket_hack_master
Maybe it's default speed is slower to save more power.

Hey
I've just received my new X7510.
I've been playing around for a while with it but I thought that the unit can be put in potrait or landscape mode by just turning the pda but it does not do that.
The HTC Home plug-in causes problem with the iGo8 so I had to disactivate it then I find that if you launch pocket informant 8 then the iGo8 well not run anymore.
Can someone tell me can I change the position of the screen from Portrtait to Landscape by just turniong the screen they is nothing in the manual explaning how it is done.
The phone does not have vibration when it rings ever sup[pliers says it does cannot find how to activate it.
If anybody what any feedback just ask and I well try to help.
Thanks

I vote for a x7510 section also. I got mine two days ago and have been posting in the Upgrading section. I have applied real VGA but would like to get the Comm Mgr fixed. The fixes previously posted under rom PK 2.0 report they will not load due to unsufficient permissions. cktlcmd has suggested
"You can ask someone who can copy the .exe file of comm manager who is using the VGA file and just copy & paste that to your ROM then soft reset."
If someone can help out that bwould be just great - or make an alternate suggestion?
I'm travelling to NY this weekend and will be taking the 7150 as a notebook replacement. It will be a good trial.

I own a x7501 as well as the new HTC Diamond.. I have been researching, correct me if I am wrong, x7510 should not be released. The HSDPA download speed is still the same 1.8mb/s this is really slow as compared to my HTC Diamond, download speed 7.2mb/s which is almost close to a broadband speed experience. I can watch slingbox on my HTC Diamond using a HSDPA unlimited connection. But when I tried it on my x7501 its very slow and jerky. This is stopping me from getting the x7510. I hope someone realizes this..

X7510 is released in the UK, I bought mine from Clove UK. It took only 2 days to deliver here in the US.
I don't use HSDPA, so I can't comment.
I love the keyboard and big screen, especially with Real VGA. Watching movies using Core Player rocks! The shipped ROM is very stable. GPS connects fast, even with just active sync.
I use mine mainly in landscape, so the absence of the buttons and joystick is not a problem.

I found this thread, THANKS to the one who shared the file and created VCommManager: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...41#post2351941
Basically all you have to do is
1....Obtain the VCommManager.exe file from the link above.
2....Rename VCommManager to CommManager.
3....Use Total Commander or any powerful file manager to replace the ROM Comm Manager with the newly renamed CommManager (formerly VCommManager), by sending the file to the Windows folder.
4....SOFT RESET
Now all icons pertaining to the built in Comm Manager points to VCommManager. Solved all problems in VGA mode. Very nice application. Thank you again for sharing

It's $1190 all in all including DHL shipping with tracking. It took 2 days to deliver, although it could have taken them 1 day if they really want to, but that's DHL's problem. Service was excellent. They answered every query I threw them instantly. You just have to fill up a ticket.
So basically, $100 cheaper than Dynamism and On The Go Solutions, or $150 cheaper than Expansys.
I don't think their stocks are even here yet, despite what their site says.

Hey everyone,
I've been trying this new pda for a few days.
I find that the case is the same as the X7500 good quality.
The keyboard is fantastic with the new Heptic feedback that it has much better that the 7500 keyboard.
The button for the internet browser has 2 function if you just press it it bring you back to the HTC Home which is the today screen if ypu hold it it launchers Opera.
Opera is much better now very faster and great to view web pages.
I find that the VueFlo is missing in the systme I contacted HTC and they say is should be they but it is not they well be getting back to me with some feedback.
The casze that you get now is like the old one but now they have cut a windown slot so you can see the small screen which is great now, you get a bigger bag for carrying any accessories you what.
They supply you now with the 4 in 1 cable.
You get on the CD Sprite Back up 6.2 and TomTom but I use the Igo8 which works fine now if you use thne latest version of the iGo8.
Software in the pda are:
Office Mobile folder has: Excel Mobile, OneNote Mobile, PowerPoint Mobile Word Mobile, has you can see now OneNote is included.
Audio Bosster for you headset
Clearvue Presentar 5
Getting Started which help you with the pda
Goggle Maps
Java
Jetcet Print 5 which has a newer interface and it work great now.
Opera 9.5
RSS Hub this is a RSS new software very nice
WorldCard Mobile whioh lets you take a photo of a business card then it enters it in you contact but I've not tryed it yet.
I think I've covered has much as I think that is important but if anybody has any question please let me known.
Ahh
Boot up is faster now.
and it comes with WM 6.1 pro.

Gigino,
Is that a TomTom 7? If it is, you should give it a try. It's better than iGO8 IMHO, and I was a die hard iGO user, as many of you would know from my previous postings.

Hey,
I'm afraid it is not the version 7 it is still the 6.3 that came with the X7500.
