I have downloaded this file which is not my work but I am told that it is one of the most stable ROMS.

All credit goes to Dvha79_ddt and PDA Viet

I found 2 thing
- a2dp not work
- still can't use stk menu

for me a2dp 's need , so I change to sundream rom

I have been running this ROM for about a week and as yet I have not had any issues. I regurlaly change my ROM but this is the first that I have felt that I could stick with.

It is a fast and very stable ROM

Also I am not sure if this is relevant but I had a bettery that only lasted 3 days max on full charge, this ROM showed that the battery was at 70% even though the previous ROM showed it at 100%. The batery life is extended by about 36 hours at least.

Nice but to turn on WIFI I need to try it several times. It does not work always. Any solution for this?

Reet your BA using the power button at the top while holding the audio record button, press the reset button on the bottom. then double click the the BAupgrade file.

Good Rom, many thanks to Dvha79_ddt of PDAViet.net who cooked and David389 who brought this Rom to xda-developers:)
I have been using for 2 days with little problem about Wifi opening by CommManager. I need to try couple time from WirelessLAN to open WiFi.:confused:

Any how, it's a nice Rom for me. I like it.:)

I've been using sun dream's rom on my spv m2000, but it was really buggy and a bit slow. kept having to reset it. Very keen to try this one out. thanks for link!

I was using sun_dream too, but gave this a shot.
Summary:
Very clean - not as many utilities as sun_dream. I will report back in a few days of use. sun_dream build has been great and only reason I changed was to see if I could get my bluetooth which used to work in w2003se to work again. Unfortunately bluetooth still not working.

Agreed, so far so good apart from wifi.
Now, if only I could figure out why my bluetooth is not working (PC>PDA) :-[

PS Add to that camera shutter button not working intermittent - fixes up after soft reset.

Found the bluetooth problem dissappeared if I used moblue utility.
Surely you should be able to receive files from PC without using Moblue?

agree with you David, this seems very stable rom so far, have tried almost all roms for BA, each have ups and downs, this seems perfect for me, good battery life, good reception, loud and clear,will stick with this rom for now...

the bt problem is easy to solve.
just install the commanager from helmi roms, and enable the beam in comm manager.
then you'll be able to send and receive. IrDA was affected too.

this will solve the problems you guys have.
Just enable the "beam" in this manager, and you'll be able to send\receive files by BT. IrDA was affected too, btw and this solves.

Not quite - I HAVE to use Moblue if I want to receive a file from PC (other way around is OK). But despite searching and applying various registry fixes, cannot get any of the various commmanager.exe to switch WIFI/WLAN on/off. Its quite odd, I can go to settings (commmanager/settings/wireless wlan) and control wifi from there, then the commmanager.exe wifi icon shows its connected and commmanager.exe from that point can control wifi on/off.

that wifi issue was even present in the wm5 roms i used so far. ;)
just enable in settings, and then the comm manager can turn it on/off.
since that issue exist at so long time, (due to drivers basically, our devices are way old), most users are used to it. :P
Thanks for that definitive answer. Cant find any reference to it being a recognised problem by much searching earlier.

Problem is, every time you reboot, every time you have to use settings again to get wifi going. There must be a method to hook into the settings wizard, or replicate the settings action to emulate the change there.

soft reset and at same time press both ba side buttons.
then with one of the side buttons, navigate in the 3 options list, and make sure to have them on 'no, yes, yes'. (u change the option with one of the side buttons)
then, press the mail button and wait because it is hard reseting.

dear friends:
I have a problem with this rom,befor updrading to WM6 and when i have WM2003 official , when I want to do a hard reset , I have to Press power button and then press reset, but now , I don't now what can i have to do ? When I do my last process to hard reset , But just a soft reset done and there is no Hard reset , Please help me what can i have to do ?

hard resetting seems bit different in wm6, please try the following, and your BA should hard reset.
press reset from from bottom reset button,
soon after, press and hold media+record button in left side of BA.
you will see boot option menu, use the same media and record buttons to choose yes or no options, it should be like this
Enable KITL=NO
Clean Reg Hive=YES
Format Storage=YES
then press mail button.
you will have white screen for a while, and your machine will Hard rest.
PLEASE REMEMBER TO BACKUP BEFORE...

i've been searching high and low for a thread like this..i've just got a hand-me-down o2 xda iis and fell in love with it..my problem now is how to upgrade from WM2003 to WM5 because i wanted to add some applications that needed WM5..being a newbie in this type of phone i have some questions that i hope you can help me with, namely:

1.) when you change the operating system do you have to change the ROM as well?

2.) can you show me how (in the easiest way you can) to upgrade from WM2003 to WM5? if not, can you direct me to a thread that explains how to upgrade the operating system in a way that someone like me can easily understand?

3.) is it possible to put those iPhone themes and icons on my BA if it only has WM2003?

i hope you don't mind me asking these questions, i just want to fully appreciate the features of my BA..thanks..
