Hey guys I followed Mr vanx guide to update the radio ROM. I have the nbh file containing the radio and a custom RUU. However, everytime I want to update my radio, I cant. Before unlocking and CID and made my device hard spl i tried before to change the radio but i got the same error i have now. By that time i had 1.48.00.10. Now after superCID, HardSPL and unlocked, i get the same exact error. Thus the radio ROM now is different 1.16 due to that program that CID & Unlocks the phone. I want to put it the 1.47.30 (battery friendly) and everytime i click on the update it puts my hermes into bootloader mode. When he is about to update, on the computer the graph goes suddenly from 0% to 7% whereas on hermes it stays on 0%. Then the program gives me an error: Flash write error. I then have to soft reset the phone and it gets stuck in the bootloader. I use the mtty tool set 16 0 and i can go back into wm6.1. Does anybody know why the **** i cant update this?

btw: i tried other radios, same error, same thing

Try the sd card method. If that doesn't work I'd say you may have a corrupted radio...
sd method
1). format sd card fat32.
2). copy RUU_wrapper.nbh to card & rename to "Hermimg.nbh".
3). insert in phone and reset to bootloader - hold power, ok button above flywheel and reset with stylus. Hold in until you get to tricolour screen.
4). Hermes should recognize the upgrade, follow the prompts.

*****MAKE SURE THE BATTERY IS BETTER THAN 50% CHARGED*****

Is that dangerous?
I mean we downgraded the radio after i had those problems updating but it wasn't me, it was that tool to supercid and to unlock that did it. So I dont think the radio is corrupted (otherwise the gsm, BT and Wifi wouldn't work right?)

If it works and you're happy to leave, then don't upgrade. There is ALWAYS an element of danger flashing your Hermes... Wait until you feel comfortable or find problems. Its been covered before but the radio rom doesn't have to upgraded to the latest to be best for you. Its carrier compliant and if your carrier uses 150.00.00 then thats better than ugrading to 154.30.10 as it may not work as well or drain your battery faster for instance.
I personally would find out what would be the best radio to use, flash that once and not touch it again unless you feel 100% sure it would be better.
As I say though, use the sd card method if you do as it is safer from "accidents" happening to your pc/usb cable or having power dropouts.
Cheers...:D

Thanks for the answer mate. I want to flash because since the downgrade caused by the v3a tool (cid and unlocking hermes) the battery drain is quite inconstant =/ Sometimes it stays a lot of time on one percentage, then it drops down really fast  Ok ill try this method. I heard that the best battery friendly radio ROM is 1.47 so ill try it out ;)

Btw, i have another issue, with the media player. When Im listening to music and i have the device on standby mode, when it gets to the end of the song, he doesn't play the next one. However, if i turn it on it immediately starts playin the next song. What can i do to solve this? tks in advance

Solved. I downloaded the package radio from the wiki and it worked like a charm. In less than 10min i got my radio rom installed :D
