MSN messenger and Live search bar

anybody know if there is seperate .cabs for these so that i dont have to install Microsoft live to have these available...if i could just get the search bar to put in my today screen that searches google and the msn messenger client.

you can use the search cab from this (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=403676) thread in the forums which has a tiny footprint and works perfectly. Very useful if you don't need the hotmail client and just want a searchbar on the today screen.

Fring is supposedly a good messenger client and it's free and reputable. It supports filesharing, Skype and other VOIP standards along with pretty much every IM provider going.
