Many of you may have known that TomTom has a version 7 that's available online. In order to get the software to work one must use a command line to patch it. However, I have not been able to get it to work. Anyone have any success?

Which version map are you using? can you describe exactly how you activated the map? I am having a frustrating time with the command line. But I do believe I am doing it correctly, just that the files are incorrect.

If you did not, what you are trying to do is both illegal, and against the aims of this forum. Do not bring warez (that includes discussions related to it) to XDA-Developers, or you will face the consequences.

Why Tom Tom 7 is so slow, version 6 was fine @252Mhz.
Have you an idea ?

which map do u use? i had the same problem with Tom tom 6, i used Western Europe map (about 1.25 GB) and it was too slow, but i changed it to my country map (about 200 MB) and every thing is fine, even Tom Tom 7!

I use Prophet too

hi,

I found out that these problems have nothing to do with prophet, so try other sources.

go to forum.ppcwarez for example you will find all the answers for your problems.

I have tomtom 7.45 with map western europe 7.20 working on my prophet and I didn't get the info from xda.

in fact I realised that you can't get it from here because we are not suposed to use ttn7.... got it?

Hi Guys, I have a simple question. I think Prophet H/W spec doesn't support GPS. How come you can use TT7 on it. appreciate for your answer

@ arpaul - you need to use a bluetooth (external) GPS, you can pick them up quite cheap on ebay etc
