wm6.1 fast on g3 than on g4 why?

i had this opportunity to flash my cousins g3 with the same rom on my g4 ,i found g3 opening windows folder much much fast than my pathetic g4. could it be due to the lock check,or could it be g4 drivers are supposed to be different for cache memory ,since g4 came later it should be more fast but i find g3 to be more fast.

G3 has more memory. Was your cousins overclocked?

no not over clocked i used same rom cooked by me for both but response time of g3 was much much better ,mine is slower g4.

while g3 has more space on device. That make the device run faster..

And also, furthermore for the hardware issue,

G3 and G4 uses different DOC (Disk On Chip),

and 64MB*2 and 128MB *1, physically,
performance will be varied due to system ROM distribution
(like the partition address of the Extended_rom.....),

and Random Access Memory (RAM, like the configurable pagepool.....)

plus the opportunity to the different "health" of the components
(e.g. there are absolutely never be a 100% precisely same performance even same model)
