I have TT7 working fine on my Orange SPV M2000 running on the explode 6.11 rom.
However, I do have a problem.
TT7 takes around 5 minuets to start for the first time.
Strangely when TT7 has been turned off and the BA left on, starting TT7 the next time only takes 8 to 12 seconds.
TT7 runs from the device and the 715 map on SD.
I also have a problem with WiFi and phone, both can be very difficult to start.
Anyone else have these problems and can someone suggest a remedy.

120+ views and no reply, I guess I must have a unique problem. Tough titty.

Nope - I just read to know what is this about - I don't use BA for navigation any more nor see anything special in new version of TT7. I would just wait for another release - so far all of those releases are not official nor final.

Nothing special in the new TT7? OK then just to clarify and for what it's worth... We have been waiting ages for an official TT7 upgrade that just ain't coming. And just like the folk on this forum who crave the latest mobile rom upgrades, 7 is better than 6 because it can use the latest up-to-date (v7) maps
Also, it's infinitely better to have PPC/PDA because they are mini computers and a phone. PNA are limited to map reading and mp3.

I've been using BlueAngel for navigation for 2 years and I dumped the idea (and switched to PNA) because of constant problems with GPS-Bluetooth-BA. Now I just turn on the PNA and have the navigation ready nearly immediately and it always works. And beacause it's based on Windows CE 5.0, I can use any navigation system I want, apart from... TomTom, as this piece of shit does not support 480x272 screens, as the ONLY navigation software for Windows CE. So far no info about wide screens and TT7 - maybe indeed it's a bit better? Anyway for me much more effective is local navigation software, mostly because of better maps for Poland and quite interesting 3D interface (TT looks boring and outdated compared to Automapa).

I totally understand your view point but choosing the right satnav is really all about up-to-date maps and user friendliness.
TT7 is much easier and quicker to use in comparison to the competition.

I am still searching for the answer to why TT7 takes so long to start on my BA.

Have you tried using Automapa on your BA?

I'm thinking it might be an issue with WM6.1 and above. I use TT6 and before I upgraded from WM6 to WM6.1, it was working like a charm. Now, it takes a few minutes to start up (and sometimes it even crashes)

I think you could be right. I use TT7 frequently and it might be worth reverting to mobile 6. Anyone know if you can safely revert from 6.11 to 6?

It should be ok. You only need to flash the phone with the older rom and that's it. If you do it, please write some feedback in here since I am interested in finding out whether or not my theory was right.

I have the information you need, but I am not sure if this site allows links for the cracked TT7 download.

Have you looked at the number of poi's you have showing on the map, the more you display the slower it loads.

Hope this helps

POI's are not the main problem as TT6 started fine under winmobile 2003se with even more POI's than I have now.
I just did a test and removed all POI's and the problem remains.

POI's do slow TomTom during operation but my problem is the initial starting of the application.
