I'm just lazy and I didn't want to install separated utilities every time I Hard-Reset
or flash with a new ROM my Cruise.
I just wanted to have the look of Diamond but NOT to make my Cruise SLOW.
These programs ONLY changes the look of Cruise and makes it look like Diamond.
REMEMBER in each case you must make a BACKUP first.

Version Cruise udK Edition
- This is the "Version Cruise Improved" but for the udK ROMs.
- This Versions is with NO DIALER.
This is for the udK Diamond Rxx ROMS Only.
So ... here is the cab file (install it to the device NOT to SD) ... if you have previous version just uninstall it and install the NEW one.

Unfortunately the HTC home doesn't work for me, after install and soft reset, when I try to set the theme, the only changes are in the background, no CLOCK & WEATHER icons, after first run the calculator doesn't work anymore...

This cab has nothing to do with pda model. This is a collection of tools that changes the skins in some tools and makes the pda looks like HTC Diamond.
As I said to my first post because I test from all the developers the ROMS they developed I wanted a cab file to install all the apps after a flash or a hard reset.

I have a slight problem with the Calculator skin. If I try to start the Calculator, it says 'Error. Cannot load the skin file: \Windows\SpbCalc_P.gif'
SpbCalc_P.gif doesn't exist, but the SpbCalc_p.png does! What should I do?

edit: Found it: \HKCU\Software\Spb Software House\Spb Calculator - key FileType: i changed it from gif to png.

This dialer doesn't support smart dialing, neither enables the user to call recently called number. So I uninstalled it... Now there is no HTC home screen and the calculator cannot be reinstalled (the skin is still somewhere installed).

Take a registry editor and search for "calculator"!

Delete all entries which you find! Eg. "SPB Calculator"....

Reboot and reinstall the package...

As I said to 1st post this is a Diamond Transformation Pack. It makes Cruise (or other PDAs) look like Diamond. If you don't like Diamond just uninstall it.

I installed it and I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for this piece of software. It makes my HTC look great. I have only 2 problems with it:
- for the calculator skin where I should have ',' I have 'm'
- for dialer (or how it is named where I make a phone call) if I press numbers on keypad it doesn't search in contacts for phone numbers like what I typed... in original dialer it showed phone numbers as I typed.

I just tried to install on a very fresh install of udK Diamond Rom R4 (just installed this morning) and the first fail was due to an SPB Calculator Skin had to be uninstalled first, so I did, then tried to install the Diamond Pack again, and failed for insufficient permissions. When I soft resetted my device, the SPB calculator skin seemed to be still installed, but didn't show up in the list of installed programs, my calculator.exe file was missing in /windows, so my calculator stopped working altogether, and I couldn't install the SPB skin because it said I had to uninstall the previous skin, although I'd already uninstalled it, and the Diamond Pack refuses to install for the same reason. Not impressed with the way windows handles skins... not at all...

if anyone else suffers from this situation, I was able to get my original calculator back by copying the file /windows/mobilecalculator.exe to /windows/calculator.exe. I still can't install the original SPB skin or the Diamond Pack skins, but at least I have my calc back... :(

Got it to work. Had to copy the png files to Device/Program Files/HTC Home. The shin looks great, thanx a lot.

Go to SETTINGS\SYSTEM\REGIONAL SETTINGS\TIME and change hour style from HH:MM:SS to hh:mm:ss. But my opinion is that the HH:MM:SS is more stylish !!! :)

Which ROM are u using?? All the options should be available...

If you cannot see HTC home plugin after uninstalling this cab do following:

Try re-installing HTC Home PPC Blue.cab wich is located at Windows folder. Then soft-restart. It should work then.

You must have installed a somekind of dialer, thats why it says that you need to uninstall the dialler first. Just download the version without the dialer and install the dialer afterwards.

After uninstalling the pack in some PDAs there is problem with the calculator. You must install any other calculator and you will be fine. Just try the original HTC calculator ...

How to install the file?

Copy the file to the SD Card and execute it with file manager ... Remember when you will be asked where to install the pack select the device and NOT the Storage.

No. No need for special rom, just install it. Remember that this only changes the images in programs so that you have the diamond look.

In some ROMs like udK Diamond (I personally think is the fastest ROM) there is a problem with HTC Home. I'm working this weekend in some modifications in OCT-Cruise_Diamond_pack so that can run in these ROMs.

i also have the udK Diamond ROM and i have no effect after Installing the OCT-Cruise_Diamond_pack. I only see the Themes in the Today creen.
But i try it with bepes ROM Vers. 0.67, there is the same effect. The OCT-Cruise_Diamond_pack doesnt work. I dont no wy. Sorry for the Bad English.

Ok figured it out myself. This is what happened. First install: Error you need to uninstall previous calc. skin. So i did and the uninstaller accidentally also deleted calculator.exe. Second try installing the pack i get the error about system rights, which has to do with the missing calculator.exe.

The diamond pack installer was already partially installed (also the calculator skin). So when i retried it tells me (again) to uninstall the calculator skin.

So here is what you should do, in this order:

- Uninstall previous calculator skin.
- Make a copy of \Windows\MobileCalculator.exe to \Windows\Calculator.exe
- Install the .cab

If you got stuck in the same situation like me:
- Make a copy of \Windows\MobileCalculator.exe to \Windows\Calculator.exe
- Remove the complete registry entry the partially installed .cab made in \HKCU\Software\Spb Software House\Spb Calculator.
- Retry installing the .cab

I ran into similar difficulties with the original calculator skin.

1) I killed the registry entry as suggested by junkfoodinc in the quote above (thanks btw) using PHM Registry Editor:

The desktop installer .MSI (via Windows Vista and ActiveSync) didn't work for me, so I used the .CAB file from the "Pocket PC 2002/2003 (ARM/PXA)" download selection.

2) I reinstalled the touch calculator (available from the link of the original post) then uninstalled it again through Start, Settings, System, Remove Programs.

3) Finally, I re-installed the "Version Cruise Improved" Diamond Pack with dialer. OCT-Cruise_Diamond_Pack_WD.cab to the device and restarted when prompted.

So far everything looks great:

* I love the Diamond version "analog" clock on the home screen and the various Diamond themes that came with it.

* The new Connection Manager aside from looking cooler, adds the option to turn on/off 3G, which is a welcome bonus.

* The dialer, calculator, etc all look great.

* The task manager has bigger buttons so it's easier to use with fingers.

* The Windows Media Player skin matches the overall theme much better than the "vanilla" skin.

I'm not sure, my headphones works fine after the install. Are you using Windows media player, Audio Manager or does it affect all of the sound?

You may want to try uninstalling the diamond pack and trying the sound again.

That's what says when I have the headphones on if I do a soft reset.
Uninstalling it didn't help sadly.
This is relevant with any type of ROM flashing(+failure?) it seems but I haven't used any cooked ROMs or any because I decided to wait until everything got stable (which it now has but still)
