I have a file called ATT Settings.cab which I got from this forum (somewhere, can't remember where). It is supposed to set the phone to ATT US connection settings. I have installed it (i.e. clicked on the cab file), but can't find where the icon is to start it (I'm expecting menu settings, etc.) Has anyone used this before and if so where do I look to run this program?

I haven't used this cab before, but I have to assume all it does is automatically enter the browser settings. Like the ones you would find here. (http://www.wireless.att.com/answer-center/main.jsp?t=solutionTab&solutionId=KB84444) You won't find an installed program for you to run.

it's automatically installed.
its not an application, it changes settings. some roms it may be just install the cab and your good to go, but in others such as L26 diamond you have to go settings>connections(tab)>connections(icon)>advanced(tab)> select networks> change both to mediaNet then edit>proxy settings> uncheck this network uses a proxy server...

well after you install att settings cab and follow these operations you may as well install removehiddenproxy.cab because attsettings.cab doesn't remove the hidden proxy. The hidden proxy can prevent you from downloading quickgps, htc weather updates, and a few other things.
