Opera 8.6 won't uninstall

I've seen similar posts here but not nothing specifically addressing this issue.

I recently updated my Vogue to the 6.1 ROM. Everything is great except that I accidentally installed Opera 8.6 instead of 8.65. I tried upgrading to 8.65 but I get two messages. One saying that 8.6 could not be uninstalled, and the next that 8.65 install was unsuccessful. Opera does not show up in the Remove Programs list.

Anyone have any thoughts on how to get 8.6 off my system so I can install the newer version?

I believe only one build of Opera is uninstallable, you'll have to manually delete all files and reg keys, or hard reset,
