email / sms issues (backgrounds & Threading)

Folks,

When I open messaging, the background is full of horizontal lines going across from left to right. They are not the lines that divide the individual mails, there are many more than that. Although I can still read everything, it's very distracting - how do I get back to a normal white background. I've just noticed this also happens in my Activsync window :confused:

Also in messaging, how do I stop threading of messages? I'd prefer the vanilla version.

Finally, I guess I'll have to wait for a ROM update to split the MMS and SMS unless anyone has a tweak - it required a ROM update on my Kaiser IIRC...:( I don't use MMS and really only want the quickest way to start a new SMS...

Quick update (for those that are interested): just changed Today theme and the lines are mentioned above (first point) are part of a theme file set. I've just changed to HTC Black and the normal white background has returned to my messaging view :)
