Hey.
Here is the way to change the homekeys IN TFLO 3D.
In a registry editor, go to:
HKLM/Software/HTC/manila/
Here is:
HomeLSKPath, which is the left softkey (Standard = Phonepad)
And
HomeRSKPath, which is the right softkey.
If you change these with the location of the programs you want to link to, and simultaneous change the names:
HomeLSKText = Left softkey text
And
HomeRSKText = Right softkey text.
Changing the boot picture/sound:
HKLM/Software/HTC/HTCAnimation (startup animation)
and
HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Splash Screen (The green WM 6.1 logo)

Nice tip - thanks.
Changed Phone to Camera as I find it a pain in the ass to get the camera up and running quickly! Who needs Phone - as pressing the Call key does the same thing.

Nice thought! I was thinking the same as well, or the other alternative is to activate/deactivate Bluetooth but does anybody know the string to Enable Bluetooth?
Thanks in advance!

"Changing the boot picture/sound:

So i tried it i just changed the path to another image (jpg) in the internal storage. I got a blank screen.
So does the image you choose have to been in the device?
Does it have to be .png?
If so whats the file path to the device.
Thanks very much or maybe im doing it all wrong you tell me please.
Cheers! thanks!

\Windows\CommManager.exe brings up the Comm Manager, IMO even more useful.
I would love to see configuration of long press of other keys than End Call, though.

I did nothing there. I`ve searched everywhere
Ignore this. I take it Sry means "sorry" not wrongly typed "Try". If you know what I`m going on about.

Yo dude. I just checked it out.
Try: Start>settings>buttons
However, there is only 1 button that you can set (or maybe that what i know),
from the drop down menu, choose "camera". Viola!
Thru trial and error, i found out that the Button 1 is actually the call button.
Which means: press it once to go into phone mode, long press (hold) to activate camera. Hope that helps.

Yeah sussed that out thanks. I was really looking to be able to just have a quick button press that turns bluetooth on and off just like my Nokia N80 does. I found it very handy

In Settings (not Preferences as I mistakenly said) -> Personal -> Buttons you can change the function of the answer button for a long press.
The other one (Hold) can't be changed in Settings, so you need the registry trick.

What I did was download the BTOnOff Button from
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=2276141#post2276141
then linked that to the call button (long press). this way you can just hold on to the call key to turn bluetooth on and off. you can also download the WiFi button, soft reset button, etc. and link those to hardkeys

I have found it for the danish Diamond:

I gues it must be almost the same if you have a Diamond with another language

You will have to put up the path name to the exe file or the lnk file
eg. \Windows\CommManager.exe
so, find where the exe / lnk file is (the exact name).. and then put up the path

Here we go:
In the Reg Editor: What you Should be seeing under the NAME column is
HashPaths
HomeLSKArgument
HomeLSKPath
HomeLSKText
HomeRSKArgument
HomeRSKPath
HomeRSKText
Style
Version
If that is not what you see, then check again and navigate to the right place. If that IS what you see, then you are in the correct place, read on:
Now, HomeRSKPath - Tap on that. You will see Value data: over there enter the path.
The path should be \ (not /) Windows\Start Menu\Contacts.lnk (that's LNK as in extension for LINK)
(I believe these would be case sensitive, not sure, but hey, what's the harm, right ;) )
Now Address Book... err.. I don't see that in the Windows Start Menu.
If you WANT to be sure of the path, use File Explorer and go to that place and see if the file you are linking to, is actually there and see how it is spelt. Also see how the containing folder(s) are spelt (in this case, Windows and Start Menu)
Of course.. once you get this done, you also Tap on Ok. You should be back to the Reg Editor screen.
Right below HomeRSKPath, you will see HomeRSKText.
Tap on that now
in the Value Data: type Address Book or Contacts.
That done, Soft Reset.
All the best, mate :)

Under every tab in TF3D there are special softlinks. Is there a way of changing those too? For example I want to change the 'All Contacts' softlink under the 'Persons' tab to iContact or Funcontact.
I have searched this forum over and over again, and read so many posts my eyes have almost started to bleed. Is this a no can do?

Hi guys,
Just wanted to put the lay on another application, SSMaPa, that allows to change other 'softkeys' (Contact, mail, ...)
In fact this apps allows to change default programs for these applications on TFLO.
Currently implemented EXEs which can be changed:
calendar.exe
tmail.exe
WLANSettings.exe
poutlook.exe
OperaL.exe
Camera.exe
AudioBooster.exe
Click on Time
(Click on alarm)
Phone Settings
Bluetooth Settings
Soundsettings
In combination with your tweak, we're abble to configure almost all Manilla app.

Ok I have to ask... This is making me crazy!
I changed HomeRSKPath to Windows\Camera.exe
But when I use the right softkey... it opens the Camera alright, but with MMS-Video as default camera settings!?
If I make a shortcut at the Program interface within TouchFlo it does exactly the same?
But when I open the Shortcut from Start Menu\Programs\Camera.lnk it has the normal Photo settings as default.
Anyone got any ideas?
EDIT: I fixed it! Took me about an hour and a half...
I had to edit the original shortcut called Kamera.lnk (on danish ROM, Camera.lnk in English). Changed the shortcut from "Windows\Camera.exe" into "Windows\Camera.exe" -i. The -i parametre apparently changes the camera setting into the default Photo one.
Still have no idea why MMS-Video is the default camera setting, if you make a registry change?

So I changed left Softkey to ComManager- which is great!
Does someone know how to change in TFlo3D that if I tap on clock it opens
for example Spb Time and not the normal MS clock?
Or how I can handle that if I tap on an appointment at the home screen- it does not open the normal calender- which is unusabel for office, but instead of this for example Pocket Informant?
Thanks for each idea!

I've got a vodafone htc touch pro and it works fine, im just a kid so really don't know what the problem is, i can only ask you to make sure that you selected htc diamond mode. The way i did it was leave touchflo 3d running when i make the change and when i press the home button the softkey name had already changed and the selected program worked without the need for a soft reset or enabling/disabling touchflo 3d, if that don't work, I recall hearing that some registry settings need to be saved by a full shutdown, not a soft reset.

You can change the softkeys in the homescreen easily with Schapps Advanced Config. Goto Menu-More Settings-Key Mapping.
This is a must-have program anyway!

instead of mapping the button to camera, map it to voice speed dial and then set a voice tag for camera. you can set voice tags for all your programs, so one long press will open any programs you might want

If you're having trouble trying to figure out the correct string to insert to launch an app I've got the solution for you...
First add the app (the one you'd like to remap you softkey to) to the programs tab. (I'm assuming everyone can handle that).
The using a registry editor- I use PHM- go to
HKLM>SOFTWARE>HTC>MANILA>PROGRAM LAUNCHER
Look through the numbered folders until you find the program's path you'd like to add and that's it!
Copy that path to the HomeLSK or HomeRSK path, add the text you'd like to display as your softkeys and you're done.
Hopefully this will help out some people struggling with adding different apps as softkeys.
Any issues please feel free to pm me and I'll do my best to help you out!

Opera Browser.ink is in the drop down list. If it isn't in yours, then find the Opera Browser.exe in the Windows file, copy it and paste a shortcut in Windows/Start Menu/Programs.
