Hi all
Wonder if anyone can help with this. I use myTouch Diamond to sync to home and work PCs' Home is XP, work is Windows 2000. Outlook 2007 on both.
The phone ROM is 1.37.405.1.
I am getting a recurring error during sync:

Activesync encountered a problem on the desktop. Support code: 86000107

I have tried deleting partnerships and starting afresh, reoving and re-adding contacts and calendar in Options, all kinds of methods. The only thing that solves it is the fresh start: however, it only works once! When I go to the work PC, same thing happens, I delete the partnership and start again, it works fine... until I go to the home PC...

Is there some WM6 problem with Activesync? Any pointers as to how to solves this?

Thanks for any help.

I'm sure you used the Search facility and didn't find an answer to your question, right?

WRONG! Don't be lazy - there's a search button. Use it before starting new, useless threads.

Pretty rude response. Just ignore me next time if my posts trouble you in any way.

Yes, I have used the search function. I have tried the suggested steps.

There is no reliable solution to this that I can see. Perhaps you can enlighten me.

There are a few solutions to be found that work temporarily, yes. But they all seem to fail when you sync with your other PC and then come back to sync again with the first.

Have you tried unchecking all the sync folders, then adding them back in one at a time to see if one is causing the issue...

or this...

1: unplug usb cable if you are still connecting it with your WINDOWS MOBILE
2: Open MS Outlook (I m using 2007 as an example), go to File- > New -> Outlook Data File , and create a new PST file (what ever name/ location)
3: In outlook, Tools ->Account settings, then click Data Files tab, click the new PST file that you had just created, and set as default , then restart outlook
4: delete activesync partnarship in both Windows Mobile and in your Desktop
5: Plug the WM to the USB port, and it should sync properly again.
6: restore the backup by using MS Outlook's Import and export function

I'm sorry if I seemed rude. However, if you read the responses you KNOW there is no solution. You also know where the thread discussing this is, so why open a new one?

Why not just accept that sometimes a new thread will open on a subject that is a persistent problem, especially from someone new to the forum? Or,even better, just don't bother with your unhelpful remarks. If you have something useful to add, let's hear it.

There are several threads that mention the topic.

Windoze9t8, thanks, I have indeed tried this. It does, as do some of the other fixes, resolve the problem for that particular activesync session. But when I go from computer 1 to computer 2 (on both of which I have done the above with the .pst file), on computer 2 I am back to square one with the 86000107 error.

It's a WM 6.1 bug. WM 6.0 works just fine. ATM there is no known solution.

I hope that sums it up.

Thanks guys.

Sadly, before reading that, in my attempts to get this to work I have completely banjaxed my Outlook 2007 so that I can neither uninstall or reinstall it, nor will system restore do anything.
