AppToDate says, there is a 0.6.7.1 version of Diamond TF3d Config. I let it download that, but Diamond TF3D Config still shows itself as v0.6.7 and AppToDate still says that there is a new version.

this has been mentioned more than once in this thread by different users (including me) - there was never a reply to this issue...
I fixed it by changing current version in app2date-xml to 0.6.7.2 (hoping next version - should there be one - would be 0.6.8 or 0.7)

I have had nothing but trouble with TF3D config. I want to eliminate the settings & call history tabs & it won't let me. I uncheck the boxes, click save & it tells me it needs to restart. I say OK, it restarts & absolutely NOTHING has changed.

This is a Sprint TP running the leaked VZ ROM & activated on verizon.

i just got a HTC Diamond. I downloaded the program. Cut and Pasted it into My Documents, installed the program.

BUT

When I try and open the program I get a Error message that tells me to Quit.

Navin, use ActiveSync to sync the .cab file to your Diamond. Then install it from there.

When you start ActiveSync there's 3 buttons on the toolbar: Sync, Schedule and Explore. When you click on Explore you get an Explorer view into your Diamond. Alternatively you should be able to browse to it through My Computer, assuming you have ActiveSync set up right and your device is connected. This Explorer view is a network view of the filesystems on the Diamond. IOW no other PC process can easily get to the files on the Diamond.

The Diamond also can connect as a disk drive, much like say a camera or a USB memory stick. When this is done, AFAICT, the Diamond's "Internal Storage" filesystem is connected to a drive letter and is unavailable to the Diamond itself. This maps the \Internal Storage to a drive letter. Other programs on your PC can then access files on your Diamond, under \Internal Storage that is, regularly through the drive letter. I plan on using this to write a Perl script to properly copy over Album Art for the music, for example.

You can create a shortcut to your "Windows Mobile Device" through the Explorer.

What they are telling you is that through ActiveSync, using this Explorer view, you can copy files onto the phone. Do that then run the cab. I, for example, have a \Internal Storage\Software folder where I put all of this software that I then install on the phone (using the phone's File Explorer to browse to \Internal Storage\Software then double tap the corresponding .cab file).

establish an active sync connection between your diamond and you pc. once done, extract the .rar file, and you should get a .cab file. copy the .cab file onto your device, and install it. simple as that

FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE HAVING THE TABS PROBLEM (repeating tabs in diamond td3f or the hiding of tabs not working) please follow this steps.

1) install and use TOTAL COMMANDER (search to download it)
2) use the search function and search for manila_disabledtabs
3) the found result SHOULD be located in sub directory in windows folder
4) right click delete it
5) restart your ppc.

The forum has been of great help to me. I have 2 problems with my device (HTC Diamond) which are as follows :

1. There is a limitation of 25 SMS which can be scrolled to TF3D.
2. There is a limitation of 15 People on the Contacts which can be scrolled.

Can somebody tell me how to increase the number of SMS and people ?

Your Registry is wrong! Maybe this is caused by a bad ROM or a bad tweak tool!

Check this key:

HKLM\Drivers\TouchPanel

The value PressureThreshold should be a DWORD (REG_DWORD)

(Many people have this problem and got STRING (REG_SZ) for PressureThreshold, but this is wrong!)

You have two options:

1.: You delete the tweak.xml in program directory of my tool
OR
2.: You change PressureThreshold to DWORD in Registry


No, the value is set to DWORD (42) in my Registry, but still it crashes. The crash is:
NullReferenceException

The issue was the Tweaks.xml entry called EnableHSUPA. I removed the following lines from the Tweaks.xml file in the Programs Files\Diamond TF3D Config:

I have installed this prog on the 2.03 original ROM. I can install the Prog, but I cant apply the Skin.

I update the skin (black htc) on the phone, choos it on the prog an then some files are copyed, then I became a ok message an the phone reboots.

After that the Skin ist not changed, its the same...

Whats wrong?

TF3D Config has a problem with certain phones and certain registry entries. IMHO it should be fixed to deal with this situation but it hasn't. It's caused much confusion and is one of the reasons why this thread is 130+ pages.

You change the registry with a Registry editor. I use PHM Registry Editor. Try http://www.phm.lu/products

Alternatively you can simply rename the tweaks.xml file that TF3D Config installs.

I'm getting the exception error when trying to run this on my Touch Pro. I removed the tweaks.xml file and was able to run it, but I'm sure I lost a lot of functionality. I checked my registry and it looks like it should be fine according to these instructions (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2430410&postcount=390).

Under HKLM/Drivers/Touch Panel I have a DWORD value PressureThreashold that is set to 33 Dec. I think this should be OK, but is there anything that should be changed?

Workaround for background image in startmenu:

If you changed your theme and the starmenu background image is still the same after softreset:

Change in: HKLM\Software\HTC\EnlargeMenu
the value for ManilaCustomTexture to "\Windows\stBackImage.png".

If ManilaCustomTexture not exist, create it.

I have this cooked into my rom. I have added 4 tabs to my sprint theme. Call history, calendar, communications, and profiles. TF3D config crashes when trying to rearrange the tabs. Screenshots are attached with crashlog. Any help would be appreciated.

Ok here is the problem.
I have an HTC Fuze and i installed [APP][26.07.08] Diamond TF3D Config 0.6.7 onto it
So then i wanted to change the language to chinese since my parents wanted to try it. Now my phone only loads up to the green Windows Mobile load screen and stays there forever.

I have already tried the volume down, center button, and reset for a hard reset. but i guess this doesn't work if the phone doesn't fully load.

Then i tried to plug it into my computer and see if i can access my sprite backup, but the sync don't work since it isn't loaded fully.

i'm out of options and i don't want to end up with a bricked phone. any help?

Just a bug.

Go to \Application Data\AppToDate\ and edit the DiamondTF3DConfig.xml. Then ApptoDate won't shows you a new version every time.

First time poster, long time vistor!

I tried to use this program and no luck. I had the same problem a lot of people are getting. I accidently deleted Opera from my programs and now when I click on the globe icon through touch flo 3D (I should have mentioned I have a touch pro) NOTHING HAPPENS. Is there any way to fix this without doing a hard reset? I would like to set it so when i click on the globe Opera 9.5 loads. If this is not possible, I would be willing to go back to the older version (again, if possible). Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Does anyone know where I can go to learn how to create my own themes for TF3D that can be installed with this tool? I have noticed that the theme files used with this tool have a ".theme" extension while other theme files have a .tsk extension. I'd like to learn how to either create my own themes from scratch or edit existing .theme files.

To make this work on the Touch Pro all you need to do is open file manager and goto the installed folder and hit Menu > Show all Files

Tweaks is a file just delete it. Now this works on Touch Pro

Ok I am editing this because I got it to work after a soft reset the file showed up and it I was able to change the theme... i installed this file but it seems not to be working properly? it gave me an error message when trying to open the program. so i installed this tweek: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.php?p=482946&postcount=1 which then allowed me to open the program but i still don't see anything on the home page.

i disabled the tf3d and then went to diamond tf3d to make some changes but don't see anything on the home page. i did a soft and hard reboot.

my diamond is exactly like yours and I had a hard time trying to figure things out but i finally solved the problems with both apps. I will start with Diamond TF3D config once you've installed the app go to your file explorer and delete the tweak.xml file.(the path is device/program files/diamond config.) now for the advance config 3.3 you will need to install .net frame work 3.5 and sdkcerts just google those apps. make sure you install sdkcerts firts before you install .net framework. (install all apps to device):)

Your Registry is wrong! Maybe this is caused by a bad ROM or a bad tweak tool!

Check this key:

HKLM\Drivers\TouchPanel

The value PressureThreshold should be a DWORD (REG_DWORD)

(Many people have this problem and got STRING (REG_SZ) for PressureThreshold, but this is wrong!)

You have two options:

1.: You delete the tweak.xml in program directory of my tool
OR
2.: You change PressureThreshold to DWORD in Registry

works great for me except for the themes
i do not have "Internal Storage" folder on my HTC touch diamond, so i created one and in it i created a themes folder. but the program does not see the themes. if i use the "path" button i manage to see the themes but when i select one and press apply and then start, i get an error that it did not find the root dir (or something like that). and then i loose my original skin. even pressing restore defaults did not make my original theme to come back.

am i doing something wrong?

I'm not sure if I'm the only one, but in the Program Launcher, I'm unable to add new apps after I have added 18.
The icon to add a new app is there, I can tap on it and get a list of apps to select.
But after selecting, the icon is still the "add app" icon.
Tapping on it leads to the list of apps to select again.
The Program Launcher tab on TF3D Config is able to list the name of the selected app though.

I'm using the Touch Pro.
The version of TF3D Config I'm using is 0.6.7.
Windows Mobile version is 6.1 Professional, Build 19965.1.2.3.
ROM version is 1.90.707.4 WWE.

I have .theme files that I want to load using this tool. Before I do so, what files / folders would I need to make a backup copy of before applying the theme. If I am correct, doesnt it overwrite current theme files when you apply a new one.

Can I change the setting on the home screen clock where when you tap it on screen it will not send you to the alarm clock settings? I like the big clock but any little touch on the clock sends me to the alarm settings :mad:

I installed your application, worked fine, tried out some themes and after that uninstalled.
However, even after uninstalling, i still see your message when the phone starts (the one with "remember to donate...").

How do i do to erase it?
It slows down the boot time of my device.
And anyway, i found it a little bit too agressive the way you incurage people to pay you a coffee...personaly, i do appreciate your work, but i would like to see that message when the program starts, not when the device starts and not at all after uninstalling.

I love TF3D Config! When I try to add a file to the program launcher I get and error (the open tree shows up but when I select a folder I get and error message), what am I doing wrong?

So this is just a minor thing, but when I first got my Fuze and changed my wallpaper to a photo the home page clock changed from the big white numbers with a grey background to a smaller black font with no background - I was impressed that it "understood" that I wanted to see my photo and not a big grey box. Then I installed this config tool and moved around and hid some tabs, made some changes to the programs and so on. I didn't do anything with themes or clocks, but on reboot the default large clock with grey background was back and I can't get back to the smaller less obtrusive one. I'd prefer to use the included (small, transparent background) clock if at all possible - anyone familiar with this or have a thought on how I can get back to it? I tried uninstalling the config tool, but had no luck.

EDIT: Never mind, I figured out what I was seeing - I had scrolled the big clock up and off the screen at the same time I changed to a photo wallpaper. Duh. Anyone got a trick for always keeping the big clock scrolled up?

Go in to the 'today' setting in the settings menu. Switch the theme to something else, and then back to black HTC theme and the bars will change to the right colour. I had the same problem.

I have to make a soft reset then because the phone runs very slowly ...

I was a long time away (about a few months).

Beside my studium and work I developed some cool new controls called "TouchControls". With those controls it is possible to create a finger-frindly GUI like on iPhones. That's why I was away.

In the next days I will release a first beta of Diamond TF3D Config 1.0!

This beta will not have any new features, but the new GUI! So the beta is for testing the new GUI. After this I will add new features and fix the old bugs.

So please do not post any bugs anymore, because I have to read about hundreds post in this thread because of my absence.

I mentioned in my post that I knew a new version is in beta testing, but I was just hoping for a small hint.

I was just thinking it is strange that other HD users can use it and I was the only one with this error.

Do you have "ChangeScreen" installed ?
If yes, try to uninstall it and then try again to load a new theme through TF3D

I went and poked around at tweaks.xml to try and figure out if we could resurrect this on the Touch Pro. Good news, it's only one tweak (the EnableHSUPA one) that causes the crash.

Here's an updated tweaks.xml for Touch Pro users. I'm on Verizon and it works great for me now.
