Not sure if this has been answered but I have a Touch Pro and i installed diamond tf3d config 0.6.7 on it. When i go to change a theme i can not see the .theme...I have a folder named themes with all my .theme files in it but when i click the folder i don't see the .theme files. i have net 3.5 as well was net config since someone suggested that was the problem. I've been searching all over for the answer but haven't come across one yet. Your help would be greatly appreciated. I have no problem using this program on my diamond.

okay, so I know this was made for the diamond, however the touch pro is similar and uses the touchflo3D. one (like myself) would asume that this program would work... accept for the nullrefrenceexception. Can you help me, all I really want to do is remove the locked programs from the quick launch list because four of them are sneaky marketing ploys to get the owner of the TouhcPro to buy more services!

so I figured it out, simply delete the xml file out of the program files for this program... you dont get full functionalit, by this i mean you loose the tweaks function however you still get to remove thoes sneaky locked marketing ploys they call necesary applications. ps if someone has a fix for the tweaks let me know

And is there any way to know where the phone was bought? I have tried to download the rom update from the official page but it keeps telling that it is not for my phone (I am suspecting it came from Asia ;).

The issue was the Tweaks.xml entry called EnableHSUPA. I removed the following lines from the Tweaks.xml file in the Programs Files\Diamond TF3D Config:

This fix does work. If you're not sure how to do this, the easiest way is to hookup your phone to your PC and access the Program Files\Diamond TF3D Config directory through Microsoft ActiveSync. Just click on Explore in the ActiveSync window and browse to My Windows Mobile-Based Device or open My Computer and do the same. Once there, go into Program Files and Diamond TF3D Config. In there, you will see a file called tweaks.xml. Copy this to your computer and open it with notepad. Remove the above portion, copy it back into the same directory on your device and agree to overwrite the existing file. Restart the program. It should work fine.

Once you've copied the file to your computer and edited it, save it. Then copy it back onto the device from whence you originally copied it. After you copy it back, it should ask you if you want to overwrite the existing file that's already on your device (the original file). You will want to agree to overwrite it.

there is a tf3d config cab floating around over at ppcgeeks that works great..it also has the tweaks part deleted..i couldnt get any of the other tf3d cabs to work on my phone..this one worked instantly..changed themes with no problems.

If I select for example internet before I turn the phone to sleep when I turn on it will first show camera then switch back to internet. Do you know how to solve this? For all who getting an exception while starting my tool:

Your Registry is wrong! Maybe this is caused by a bad ROM or a bad tweak tool!

Check this key:

HKLM\Drivers\TouchPanel

The value PressureThreshold should be a DWORD (REG_DWORD)

(Many people have this problem and got STRING (REG_SZ) for PressureThreshold, but this is wrong!)

You have two options:

1.: You delete the tweak.xml in program directory of my tool
OR
2.: You change PressureThreshold to DWORD in Registry

I have the pressure threshold listed as a DWORD and I still get the exception.

First of all thank you very much for the creation of this software. Donation to follow. I have a question though. I did get an error when first launching the application,(By the way ROM V 1.03.605.4), and followed you link to removing the tweak file since the registry key mention for the pressure threshold did not change in fact none of the registry tweaks in your file were applied which I am sure you know. However, I went into the registry to make the modifications my self and, and the system "access denied" me to the change for Pressure threshold and GlyphChache. By chance do you have a work around for these tweaks to still get applied? I apologize if you have answered this already.

I had the same problem, I tried the solution in the first, but I wanted tweaks and my registry was already DWORD. The problem was the tweaks file, the types it was searching for was DWord. Try editing the tweaks.xml file and replace all DWord with DWORD. See if that helps, it helped me!

Some themes are large and slow your phone down. Couple that with the stock rom you are using and it's probably that. Make sure you have the tweaks for touch flo enabled in tf3d though. That could also improve performance.

After removing the tweaks file, this installed correctly on my Sprint (US) HTC touch diamond with the 2.03 rom I downloaded and installed from HTC's web site.

The second I got this phone I knew I needed to re-order the tabs.

Hello there. I just wanted to let you know of a small issue I found when using the utility. After running the tool the title of my Favourites Tab has become IDS_FAVOURITES.

I am sorry if this has already been reported.

Perhaps the spelling is incorrect I notice that FAVOURITE is spelled FAVORITE in other heading labels so the fix might just be as simple as editing the value of the Title token in the XML.

Hi, I got this sw 0.6.7 on my diamond. It worked well a couple of time, then when I decide to restore default to re-change the organization of the tabs, I got some problems.
Now, when I try to delete some tabs, the sw doesn't work well. Most of them were deleted, but every time TF3D config put a "weather" tab as last tab.
He remembered all the change I made, but he put this one.

Use Advance Config or TouchPro/Fuze/Diamond Tweak. They'll likely accomplish what you are trying to do.

Like you install any other cab. Its no different. If you are asking how to install a cab, you need to learn how to use your phone first before messing around with stuff like this.

Do you have a Diamond or Raphael? (Touch or Touch Pro/Fuze) Installing a cab isn't HTC specific. It's no different on any other Windows Mobile phone. You're gonna have to be more specific than "it doesn't work." All that should be required is running the cab file on your phone, picking where to install it (install to device recommended for this type of app) and then wait until it finishes.

You can't have your cake and eat it too! Not if you are using TF3D and wanting every byte of memory possible. Getting what you are asking would start with disabling TF3D or if you are using TF3D, don't use a theme that takes a lot of memory. Also look into using a custom ROM that is aimed at freeing as much memory as possible.

What version of Manilla? If it's rhodium, no. Try to open it. If you can without error, it likely works. You have the option to backup your current theme, so you can always revert back if it doesn't look right.

Not sure. I only have English on my phone, so I'm assuming yes, but I didn't remove the other languages so I don't know how to do it. The ROM I'm using came that way.

Not sure if this has been mentioned before, it probably was since there are about 157 pages of replies so far but for my sprint htc pro i removed the EnableHSUPA tweek nodes and it loads up like a charm without losing the other tweeks. Seemed like the obvious choice of tweeks messing things up. Thank you for the cool program!

For some reason I've started getting the startup error. I do not have the HSUPA stuff in my TWEAKS file. It has always worked fine until my latest ppckitchen 21041 ROM build. Any ideas as to what the conflict might be?

I wonder if there is some tweak or program that does a selective key lock... Under "settings" there is just the option of locking all keys but I wonder if it could be possible to lock all keys except the round center enter key (D-pad) for example. (this way you can turn on the phone by just clicking this more accessible key on the Diamond)

There is a file which you have to delete, can't remember what file it is exactly. I believe it's the tweak file in the program folder. But be aware there an issue with not being able to answer your phone while using data once you install this app. Good Luck

I don't know if it works on a Blackstone at all. But I do know that if you search, you would see that diamond config doesn't work on rhodium manilla, which Dutty's ROM (at least the latest one I saw) uses.

I don't know if it works on a Blackstone at all. But I do know that if you search, you would see that diamond config doesn't work on rhodium manilla, which Dutty's ROM (at least the latest one I saw) uses.

It does works on my HD. BUT, it causes huge power leak issue. Before install it, battery life was great. Two or three days without recharge is common. After it, in one hour with no calls, limited use, the battery drain 4%. After remove it, the battery seems still pretty bad. Looks like I need a hard reset. It is pain.:(

I am using a Diamond 2.

My PressureThreshold is DWORD but still cannot start your tool.
I also tried deleted the tweak.xml but still no luck.

I need your tool badly because my service provider setup 12 icons in the HTC start menu and they are all LOCKED. My HTC start menu is uesless now if I don't roll it or click to All Programs.

Much hope you can revise a version which Diamond 2 can be used.

Here's another idea:

I think these "Themes" take up a lot of memory. Instead of overwriting the theme, you can try to change each item. Look here:

You can download the colours you want (I agree - PURPLE????) as a cab file. They work great on mine. You can also google touch focus colours and overwrite the colours that are still purple. You can even change the highlight colours in Opera....

Well, I don't know how to help you with this one - it looks like you have tried everything to get this program working. However, I do think there are alternatives to changing the appearance of your phone. You can change the clock, icons, sliders and curtains with Manila Customizer. And with my other suggestion, you can change the colours too..... Also look on other threads for customizing as you like it.....

20MB of free space is easily possible if you aren't installing everything to your device. Even the stock ROM has well more than that free. I have a custom ROM and about 250MB free. As far as changing themes on a 1.93 ROM, read the first post.

My PressureThreshold is DWORD but still cannot start your tool.
I also tried deleted the tweak.xml but still no luck.

I need your tool badly because my service provider setup 12 icons in the HTC start menu and they are all LOCKED. My HTC start menu is uesless now if I don't roll it or click to All Programs.

Much hope you can revise a version which Diamond 2 can be used.

Well i tried on 1.93 rom , some themes work and some don't. I had some problems and had really clean up the phone before it would work properly again. So i have un-installed the program and only use .cab themes. Pitty really as the white diamond theme is very nice , but does not work properly with the 1.93 rom.

ok i delete the xml file and now the program runs fine.
when i go to add theme i go to the internal storage folder and open it but the theme folder i cannot open that folder i can only see it i cannot open it...:confused: so i put internal storage folder and when i open it i cannot see the files?:confused:

I appreciate the clarification RE 1.93ROM. I also didn't know if the caution meant to not use this tool at all on 1.93. As far as 20mb being 'easily possible...even on stock ROM', i beg to differ, I am in similar boat. My device storage 'out-of-the-box' was only about 42mb, and though I have installed every cab, program, song, photo, file, attachment, etc.,to my internal storage/storage card, I'm still down to about 35mb. I would kill to find a way to get more device storage (i.e. 250mb).

Awesome tool! Easy to use and direct, just like a program should be. One thing, though--I would post this in your solutions page, but you have restricted access--the registry would not let me change the REG_DWORD entries to just DWORD. I found, however, that I could change the DWORD in the tweak.xml file to REG_DWORD and it would work... perhaps this would be a better solution than asking people to mess with their registries? Perhaps this is what you meant in option 2?

Your Registry is wrong! Maybe this is caused by a bad ROM or a bad tweak tool!

Check this key:

HKLM\Drivers\TouchPanel

The value PressureThreshold should be a DWORD (REG_DWORD)

(Many people have this problem and got STRING (REG_SZ) for PressureThreshold, but this is wrong!)

You have two options:

1.: You delete the tweak.xml in program directory of my tool
OR
2.: You change PressureThreshold to DWORD in Registry

That's really the tool i was waiting for and just can say Congratulations!
I experience a small issue with that:
when the device (HTC Touch Diamond) wakes up, sometimes the application is not started and I get the normal home screen.
If I go then to the settings and try to save, the message I get: Cannot restart iLock2, please soft-reset your device.
Is there any way to solve this?

Your tf3d on your TP2 is to new for this version of Diamond tf3d config.
There hasen't been an update yet for the newer TF3D versions.

Im not sure how important this is but im running Energy Rom Standard. I had the same problem with this app on my Touch HD despite deleting the tweaks file. Registry key was as it should be. However I installed Max Complete TF3D - Main Config 3.cab, Max Complete TF3D - 15Tabs.cab.

When I run the Diamond TF3D it runs allows me to make changes. Still having issues so unable to confirm if the changes take place but it stops my touchflo working with error message on home screen saying "Tap here to launch Touchflo 3d".

The app definitely works tho.

Hi guys.

I´m from Mexico and bougth a HTCTP Sprint CDMA. I used it normally for one month, but I kill my TouchFlo 3D with "Diamond TF3D Config 0.6.7".

First I want to hide the sprint tabs because in Mexico don't have funcionallity.

After first soft reset I was very happy, but I edit more features and the second soft reset don't open my TouchFlo and my WM crashes.

Is there a safe mode or similar for WM6.1?

Any idea for help me? Please...

Soy de México y compré un CDMA Touch Pro de Sprint para usarlo con iusacell, me ha funcionado perfecto, el problema que tengo es q en mi afán de querer quitar las pestañas que no me sirven del TouchFlo me llevé todo.

Ahorita ya solo enciente, entra el S2A2, puedo estar en el sin problemas, pero cuando paso a la home, se me traba el celular después de unos 5 segundos. Una vez me dió oportunidad de abrir el "Diamond TF3D Config 0.6.7", le puse default settings y empezó a borrar 500 archivos. Desde entonces empeoró, ahora no me da oportunidad de volver a abrir el "Diamond TF3D Config 0.6.7" ni ningún otro programa. El S2A2 sigo pudiendolo usar pq entra antes del TouchFlo.

Existirá un modo a prueba de errores donde no cargue el touchflo? Gracias y un saludo!

TF3D or TF3D comes along with the Pro so you don't have to worry about that. Try install .NET 3.5 for the tool btw..

Hi, Congratulations on a brilliant program.I've used it to remove some Touchflo tabs that I don't use, but somehow When I go into the configuration program now the tabs that I'd deleted are now shown twice, and whatever I do to mark them for deletion they still appear in Touchflo. I've tried uninstalling / re-installing the program, but that hasn't cured it. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated, thanks.

Same here. I installed it it on my device, but it only starts with an error. Your solution isn't a solution for me.

The registry is correct and I also deleted the tweaks.xml... it still doesn't work.
Framework 3.5 is installed and I'm using a German HTC TD2 with the original ROM.

Yeh as per the last few pages of replies, I unfortunately have the same issue.

I loved utilising this together with Advanced Config on my Touch Diamond so was stoked to read it would also work on a Touch HD... no such luck.

Have tried each of the solutions on the first post, but to no prevail. So read through each page of this thread, tried editing the .xml since deleting it did nothing, tried some regedit. FFS, each waste of time.

HD8285 device is stock with WM6.1 and it's standard TF3D. Only changes are courtesy of HD tweak and Advanced Config thus far... Maybe it's the version of TF3D, but doubt that since little difference to the version on my Diamond :(

I am not very experienced and I hesiatte to manipulate my Diamond as I fear to mess it up.. If I want to upload a theme I understand I need TF3D, then upload the themes, chose the one and install it, etc.. (I saw the instructions somewhere)..
If then I am not happy or I want to go back to the original Diamond configuration, can I do that easily? How? Or there can be some bugs?

Hello, i have a question.
I have a Touch Pro and got the program to install, worked fine until recently. Well technically it still does work, however i would like to hide the Sprint TV tab, which shows up as "Unknown" in the program as well as the Music tabs. When i Uncheck those boxes and reboot, they are still there? Program will not hide them, and upon restarting the boxes are re-checked again? Any ideas?
Only thing i can think of is that one of my other hacks/installs must be forcing those items to appear?
ALSO, i have 2 Music boxes and 2 Unknown boxes in the list of tabs? Why would i have 2 boxes for Music and 2 for the Sprint TV? I tried uninstalling program and reinstalling and there are still 2 there. Any way to restore TF3D to original settings without a hard reset?

EDIT: I figured it out. All i did was go to the Windows directory to edit the 26948339_manila file as that's the one which is for the ordering of the tabs, from what i learned from google. Anyway, once there i noticed i had 2 files. One named the above file name and a second with the same name but with "disabled tabs" after it. Must have been generated by TF3D config at some point? Well all i did was delete that file leaving just the one listed above, reboot phone and then go back into the TF3D program and viola, my extra duplicate checkboxes for Music and Unknown were gone. Then all i did was remove the check in the box next to the remaining Music and Unknown boxes and reboot one more time and now my Music and Unknown (Sprint TV) tabs are gone just the way i wanted them to be.

IM still a newbie at this, but im using the boxed version of verizon diamond and i too was getting an error. So reading back a few pages, Following shahidkareem's advice i removed the TF3d config, and downloaded and installed singh's Tings and then reinstalled TF3d config and deleted the tweaks file in the program directory. It had an opera icon and was hiding the file extension. After i did this it ran with no error.

Computers can appear to be fickle things unless you've spent a lot of time with them and/or you program them. I program them. Have for some 30 years now. They need to you to be precise and thorough. Otherwise they don't work. They don't think for you. You have to tell them exactly what you want and they do exactly that.

Over the years I find that people who do not pay attention, do not read thoroughly and thoughtfully have just a terrible time with computers.

There hasen't been an update yet for the newer TF3D versions.

Social commentary: I'm getting more and more convinced that ADHD and ADD, etc. are more recently and more commonly diagnosed afflictions that the information age is bringing upon humankind! I mean I feel the affliction lately myself! What with all the blogs, podcasts and RSS feeds I try to keep up with! Now a days a headline will catch my eyes and I'll say "Gee that sounds interesting" but I cannot get through the article/post before becoming bored with it and moving on.

Focus people! Focus! For some things like computers it's just a requirement. I know I have to too remind myself often too.

Now can anybody take a stab at my problem that I posted a few pages ago regarding the Music and Sprint TV tabs not getting removed?

there just got my first HTC. its the my touch pro2. i tryied to install the app but for some reason it didnt work. is there any where out there with the instructions. im kinda new to this. sorry. thanks.

I installed this on my Touch HD along with the Truly_3D_Blue_V3 theme., the phone definetly slowed down hanging on some screens.
Im not sure if the app slowed the phone down or the theme..I think it was the theme personally.
Unfortunatly i reset my phone to manufactures settings... :(

It doesn't work.

I've installed it, and it says: "An error is occured at Diamond TF3D Config.exe."

Who can help me fixing this problem, cause I don't understand, I've got an HTC Diamond 2 if that helps :P.

I have tilt 2 (touch pro 2).I still get the error even after i deleted the "tweak.xml " from directory.I also installed the .NET framework bit is does not work. any idea?

I try to remove some tab from TF3D and i didn't reset immediatly but after some minute, but when reset my diamon i found again it. In TF3d menu now i can see, for example, music tab selection and another voice music tab not selection, but in my touch flow menu the music tab is show. The same thing with internet tab, photo tab and weather tab.

Please can you help me to remove the double tab voice in TF3D and remove the tab in touch flow 3d menu THANKS??

Try using Schap's Advanced Config to remove the tabs you don't want.:D

i cant get it to work on my touch pro on any rom i try , i flash about 15 rom's no use i try standard 6.1 from HTC sit to .. no use not work @ all for me ,
ware can i get 0.6.6 or 0.6.5 to try?

I found bug, when I switched to Polish language, Photos(Zdjęcia) on TF3D favorite album, (I mean that when I mark photo&camera and don't turn on anything) It show only camera icon, no photos at all, but when I turned on English language it works correctly :P.
