in my opinion, and I've flashed everything that came out from this guy, 19214 was slower than 19588 and 19949, this 20226 is about as quick as 19588.

I tried ROM WM6.1 CE OS 5.2.19214 of yours and ran real nice and quick, I always flash with shipped ROM first, hard reset and then a cooked ROM and hard reset.
It crashed during opening a message at 3 a.m I had to roll back. Very impressed though with the speed. I have HTC home, HTC task manager 2. something and HHC 1.0 final, also SPB shell and SPB phone suite.
Love the speed but stability was shocking on the one I mentioned. Has anyone crashed this yet?

Other than the hang I had during SetAcousticParam, the ROM seems fine to me.
I'm not a big fan of the dialer (its not a looks issue, functionally I prefer to see something like the 2nd screen as shown here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=405727&highlight=smart+dial+registry when the dial pad is hidden)... so anyway, I'm on the hunt for something there.

Conclusions:another very good and stable ROM, very good ROM.
1. ROM is very fast(same as other 6.1 builds)
2. Finally the "G" icon is fixed and when on 2G you get the normal icon.
3. Nice waiting animation(from DIAMOND)
4. I had no problem with the 3 seconds install.
5. there is a 3G dialer and the link is above my current post.
If you get a corrupt error when extracting:
1. you used the wrong password.
2. your download was bad.

OK, down the bottom of their page there are two drop dwn boxes. One says blueworld, the other some Tieng Viet. Click on the drop down arrow for the Tieng Viet and select english. Then the site goes into English. You can then register and download like I'm just doing.

sardo numski. Eddie Murphy made me do it, and he is a very convincing crack dealer.
Fastest ROM so far when using TomTom and making/receiving calls (used to be aweful a while back). No bugs to reports excpet the same customisations long install that others reported, and a 10% battery drain overnight without activesync open....will observe battery more. I always do a hard reset upon a ROM upgrade and don't get many issues as a result.
Anyone else got battery use observations?

Must say I love this ROM, look and responds very nice. The new H and 3G icons are most impressive. Flashed both 2G and 3G versions, the SetAcousticParam.exe install took no longer than usual either.
My only issue is that Dvha79_ddt did SOMETHING that I've never seen before that disables my dialer's up and down DPAD (I use smartskey, as the pdaviets's used to, back in the Wizard days, instead of SmartDial) The Right will activate Contacts and Left will open Email. Up is susposed to open SpeedDial and Down is Call History.....
Any ideas anyone?

If you
- soft-reset
- hit your green phone key
- press the "hide keypad" softkey
what do you see?
I get a display that I don't remember seeing with any ROM before... the menu allows me to view
- Calls and contacts
- All calls
- Speed dial
Colors aside, it looks like http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=94174&d=1213983070
but unless I make a call, nowhere in the provided dialer, nor any other dialer that I have found (except the Minimal dialer) can I get to a full Contacts button.
Totally perplexed by this.

Here is my issue:
I have tried las 4 or 5 ROMs made by Dvha79_DDT.
The last two versions (3.62.12 and 3.62.13-this one), have the following problem:
After every soft-reset, Active Sync is running, I have to close it manually. Of course, I have set Active Sync schedule to "manually" (both).
I am syncing with an Exchange Server, buy i always do it manually.
On each ROM, I pay attention to this option (ActiveSync autostart).
Do you experience the same ActiveSync behaviour?

To disable ActiveSync from starting on a start-up:
Go to Phone/Options/"Time Zones" tab - disable "Automatic change time zone and clock"
That's it

The one feature I like the most about this ROM is that the "Clock & Alarms" Settings now has "Sound alarms even when the device is set to silent or vibrate" in the "More" tab. I usually silent my phone for the night, so what I did before was just muting Phone volume while leaving Device volume on.

I never thought that my Hermes could be that fast! Great work!
I have a German one, so my keyboard layout is QWERTZ, I installed Advanced Config by Schaps (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=367043) and now my layout is correct but switching letters with FN+Space doesn't work anymore.
Anyone any ideas to solve that problem?
It would be very nice if you integrate Advanced Config in your next release, I think a lot more people can easily configer theire hardwarekeys that way.

While this ROM is fast, i believe the previous ROM was a bit faster. Sometimes my device hangs a bit when checkin text msgs (I should probably clean my inbox more), and does seem a bit sluggish. Still a fantastic ROM and i'm sticking with it.

You :DMUST:D install NETCFv3.5 through UC SDConfig.txt and change the Registry values in HKLM/Software/Microsoft/NETFramework , the v2.0 to zero (0) and the v3.5 to one (1). They have opposite values by default

Hi, thanks for the tip. Could you explain the procedure how to install it step-by-step (for a noob)?
Prerna, here goes:
1. Install NetCF3.5 on main memory
2. Open registry editor
3. Go to HKLM\Software\Microsoft\.NETCompactFramework
4. Change the DWORD value of 2.0.7045.00 from 1 to 0
5. Change the DWORD value of 3.5.7283.00 from 0 to 1.
6. Reboot
Another method & for NetCF download, read more here http://www.modaco.com/content/windows-mobile-news/265615/how-to-install-and-use-net-compact-framework-3-5-without-upgrading-your-rom/

so far, an unbelievably fast ROM. I'm doing my best not to switch back due to hangs (screen fades out, system hang) I get while typing emails. the phone can run for hours stable with reading emails and running apps, but once I start typing, it's certain it will hang after a few characters.

It works from a soft reset until the first stand by mode. After that all kind of sounds cannot be heard anymore.
Change the ROM to PDACorner V.14 now and everything works fine.

Also the background of the same can be improved.Actually, to the best of my knowledge, all the WM 6.1's have this issue. Has to do with the Comm Manager. The Diamond Comm Manager fixes that but screws with ActiveSync to my (and other's) Exchange 2003 server. As I don't use IR and disable it in one of my installation cabs, I remove it from the Comm Manager and put ICS in it's place as I use that frequently.

Battery life seems much better for me with this ROM than the previous build I was running (PDAViet 19588).
A couple of things I've noticed... Once my green LED quit flashing, even though I had service. A soft reset fixed it.
Another time I could not change sound profiles with SPB Phone Suite. The volume would not change after selecting a profile. A soft reset fixed that too.
Otherwise I really like this ROM. Seems more responsive than 19588 to me.

I wish it had the colour-inverted "G"/"3G"/"E" icons, that the newer build have, the look of them fits absolutely perfekt to the Diamond-style.

Flashed this ROM and decided to upgrade my radio to 1.56.70.11. Everything went smoothly and the ROM responded well. Installed Throttle 0.92 Beta and TochFlo..that worked too.
What I didnt notice untill much later was the sound wasnt working. Checked sounds/notifications and volume... they were fine. Downgraded Radio to 1.47.30.10 (after I read in one of the xda forums that Radio could be the cause) but I still didnt have sound.Flashed PDACorner ver. 16, then ver.15 (coz Throttle Launcher didnt work)..still no sound.
So I decided to download and flash the original HTC (dopod 838Pro_HK_ENG_WM6_Upgrade_20070712) 6.0 ROM. Now the vibration stopped working! Even after I re-flashed PDACorner ver 15, both sound and vibration still don't work.
Till the point I flashed the Dopod ROM I was kind of suspecting a hardware issue for the sound but when the vibration too stopped working...well that's left me pretty confused.
Would appreciate any help I can get with this issue. Thanks in advance!

First off, great ROM. Nice, clean, stable and more storage than I could use. Runs fast, and faster yet with upgrade to a 12mb pagepool.
I have run into a tiny problem however. Sorry if this has been covered, I am using my hermes to write this and it is a painfully slow GPRS connection currently. Rather than spend all day searching I'm going to jump the gun.
My color battery icon has vanished, disappeared, it is gone. I have the old school white one that shows 100 percent even though system settings shows it at 48 percent.
I don't recall changing anything within the registry now rom itself.
Any info would be great.
Again sorry if this issue has been covered. Painfully slow GPRS connection atm.
Tnx in advanced

This was the first ROM I have ever flashed. Its very quick and stable as I have had no real issues... except for the today screen not refreshing.I noticed that when i wake up my phone, it will display what the battery was the last time I used it and then if i write a message or run a program, the next time I go back to the today screen the battery drops by 8% or so, so its not refresshing.
Aside from that, adding a few cabs to make it what I want (mms, advanced config, audio manager and HTC Home cusomizer) it runs really fast and I havent had to reset it at all. Thanks to the chef.

I do know that PDAcornersPro has a colored battery icon... perhaps you are thinking of that one?

just use advance config and change the "show comm manager on today screen" from yes to no.

A while back I posted about how my Hermes kept freezing at the boot screen. I realized that PDAVIET ROM was that caused it and so I replaced it with another. A few days later, the other ROM was doing the same thing, and realized that this never happened before with other ROMs. So I got a question, will flashing back to OEM ROM help at all or am I doomed having a Hermes that keeps freezing at boot screen thanks to this ROM?

Flashing back to the official has helped many clear the hr bugs. Try it and then flash u'r next rom.

I also have a question regarding flashing 6.1
I am currently using a cooked 6.0.
If I flash a cooked 6.1 (like this one here) and got problems....can I flash back to the previous cooked (or official) 6.0 rom?
Never flashed yet an official 6.1 (is there an official 6.1 rom for Hermes?). I wish to flash the official one before trying out these cooked ones.
Thanks...

I tried all PDA Viet 6.1-Roms, "OS 5.2.19214 (Build 19214.1.0.4 PV DVH) Diamond(01) 3G 6MB PP" is most stable and fastest!
I wish it had the colour-inverted "G"/"3G"/"E" icons, that the newer build have, the look of them fits absolutely perfekt to the Diamond-style.
thanks for the tip!
can you or anyone please point me where to find build 19214?
thanks!!!
