Well, not my normal habits actually and I'm using my my own basic kitchen.

Read this first!

Attention! Remember to hardSPL your device with the developer edition first before ever trying to flash this ROM. Search for it in this forum.

It'll take much longer to install the Manilla package.



The ROMs

GM360DAN.1 DAN – New Release July 8, 2008 and new Manilla Fix For Cyphol's Danish ROM July 9, 2008

It's not a complete makeover but:

Based on 1.37.403.3 DAN EU DUMP ROM FROM JOOST39’S DIAMOND
No Radio (Use current radio available on the device)
Using NetCF 3.5
New TouchFlo 3D Manilla 1.0.1630.30 (As an add on- Will not be installed automatically as default)
Free Memory when let running for 30 minutes after customization reboot:
Without Manilla and Cyberon App:
Storage: ~ 83.80MB
Program: ~62.80MB
Bugs: Same as the original base ROM
Remove some minor things
MS Auto Update
Catalog
Sample Musics
Welcome Center
Tweak some minor things
Disable some security policies for software installation

Why?

It lets you use the stock ROM with the option of having or not having the TouchFlo 3D Manilla.

Nobody cooked one based on this particular release.

You want to try it then donwload it. If you don't want it then, let it be mine only.

Don't ask for other modifications because I don't really have much spare time and I really like to rest a lot.

One more thing ... If I ever have much spare time, I'll update it.

During customization process, let it finish and reset by itself. Don't worry if it's appear to be like stuck for few minutes. Well, It's not a bug or hang. It'll take much longer to install the Manilla package.

Just flashed my Diamond with this new ROM, and something seems wrong.
Only 4 city's are available for Denmark, but in the original a lot more city's was available.
Also the weather-update seems to be not working (browsing/networking is working).
Flashing back to .3 DAN

Try to copy these three files into \windows folder and overwrite!

It's not ROM fault. I've accidentally uploaded the wrong version of TouchFlo 3D Manilla. It's for Asia Region. The only file needed to be replaced to fix the problem is 2330fc3c_manila inside the Windows directory. The Manilla needs to be disabled first in the Indstillenger > I dag > Elementar >TouchFlo 3D before replacing the file.

Error in updating the weather is normally caused by an error with your service provider internet/GPRS/3G/Edge/HSDPA/WAP connection or misconfiguration. So, it's not the ROM hopefully. Because mine is just OK here.

I've included the file below and updated the first post with the correct Manilla version. Sorry for the mistake done.

This was my 8. or 9. flash, and this was the first time weather-update was not working.
Surf/mail was working, so maybe a temporarely problem with the weather-server.
No big deal - I just love flashing to something better.

It's what we called options, alternatives or preferences.
You have the options, alternatives or preferences to choose from.
There's not muchbut there's some differences of course. You have to read post #1.

Think of these. Why are there so many computer presentation programs created? You have Impress, PowerPoint etc. Why are there so many OSes developed.? You have Mac OSX, Windows XP, Vista, OS/2, UNIX etc. From those programs and OSes you have the tweaked ones like Lite editions, linux distros etc. Why?
...And one last question. Why are we or you here in the first place?

BUT : The changes in the ROM you are offering are almost none; no great improvement in speed - no new WM etc ... So why flash from the original ROM to this one ?

Anyway - you answered - thanks - not for me ;-) - however good work, and nice of you to take the time to make a danish ROM. Doesn't happen often.

Well, I do know what you're talking about. Sorry also for the misunderstanding. Some cooks like to cut everything until someone said, " What happen......not stable...cannot do this...cannot do that...!" and put something like app A, app B etc until someone said, " Oh! My God.......What happened..." Since cooking for Hermes, I won't put something I don't really know the stability of it until it's thoroughly tested. You just can't stripped it of just like that. Some stock core apps are really needed by other apps inside to run. I know because I done the cooking.

Regarding this particular ROM here, (The changes in the ROM you are offering are almost none; no great improvement in speed - no new WM etc ... So why flash from the original ROM to this one ?...) This is stock alike. I only put NetCF 3.5 to replace the old NetCF 2.0 because someone has requested it and I know this package is better than the old version 2. Since cooking it will surely make it less space consumed than installing NetCF 3.5 over 2.0, then I cooked it in.

My motto is " Stability! ". If you think that mine is not good enough than you still have other cooks ROMs floating around. Don't misjudge us by looking at the single ROM you try. You don't really know what I'm capable of. But again, this is what I am.:eek:

Read the title again " ....Danish Basic.....". It's not " Superlite, Superfast ROM...". Done in 30 minutes of my time rebuilding from *.raw dump files because someone ask me to cook one but not a fully customized, only a stock like ROM.:o

Anyway thanks for your sincere comments, hopefully, because it makes me like cooking more. Some are just my private collections with many tweaks and ...improvements... My secret.:cool:

Just take your time :) Maybe we'll soon see the 1.93 in danish? :) Would be more useful, as of what i can read it should be faster in the touchflow 3d - manilla and save about 20% more battery :)

Ive been experimenting alot. If you only want to use the Phone Pad, you can just install the "T9 14 languages" .cab (not exactly this name) and all works well with T9 enabled... But want i would like is the small blue keyboard for the Stylus with Æ Ø Å:)

HTC will be releasing an updated Danish stock ROM in the coming weeks. Let's get our hands on it and get Cyphol to cook us and updated, tweaked ROM.

Maybe you can answer this Osten, If you flash it with a WWE, and install T9 14 Languages.. can you get rid of the "all danish" OS, so everything will be in English, except the layout of the keyboard and dictionary.. for writing sms etc.. would like that to be in danish still, and still have the same visual layout with ÆØÅ?.
