Microsoft Voice Command 1.6 German on Diamond works!!!

Tryed to install MSVC 1.6 on my Diamond and was frustrated that it wouldn't work...

so I played around and got it - even with bluetooth headset...

How I did it?

- Made a hard reset to clean up all my played settings...
- Installed Microsoft Voice Command DE PPC 1.60 for M2M.PPC420_StrongARM.CAB from anywhere in internal memory even with errors...
- got MSVC_US_PPC 1.6.19209.bengalih.CAB from anywhere and extracted
VOICECMD.015 to voicecmd.exe and 0VCBTHAG.013 to vcbthag.dll
- replaced that files in Diamonds \Programme\Voice Command
- Created a ShortCut of \Programme\Voice Command\VoiceCmd.exe to "Startmenue"
- Assigned Key1 to VoiceCmd
- set HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Bluetooth\AudioGateWay -> SupportCLI to 1
- set HKLM\Software\OEM\VoiceCommand -> VoiceCmdEnable to 1
- Made a Softreset
- Paired My Bluetooth Device

and voila - everything works like a charme...

Hi all,

No problem with the french MSVC 1.6 version
@Fabliv : by default, you can launch it with the Call button (long press)
but I think you could use tommat's trick (shortcut) to activate it with the Home button...

No - not even with spb, but U can use the phone button long pressed

I add that with the MSVC 1.6 standard version (not the extracted one), you don't have to do all these tweaks to make it works... just install the cab et voila !

even with the german version it wont work in standard...

seems that even with this trick you cannot activate the program with the button on the blutooth headset
you need to use the call button with a long push

i didn´t tweak anything, german version in a german rom works like a charme though, even with my jabra bluetooth when hardware button is set. Installation ended with an error message, dunno why...

... do you mean "create a shortcut of \Programme\Voice Command\VoiceCmd.exe in folder \windows\Autostart\?

Well I did that. I even install a german version of voice commander I bought for €29,90. I didn't get it from "anywhere" ;)

The prog simply doesn't show up when I long press the phone button. When I manually start the \Programme\Voice Command\VoiceCmd.exe then for 5sec a symbol is shown in the menuebar. But then it disappears.

What is the workaround for this? Do I have to patch to a different rom?

CAUSE: I want to call my contacts by using the voice. The build in program is shit. Does HTC really expect me to assign voices to all my contacts?

Thanks for the help it works also with cable headset. Does anybody know how to ad the cable headset button "long press" for voice command?

hi folks,

I run dutty's 2.3a MSVC release on my phone (WWE). Could anyone point out what must be changed in registry and copied to \windows dir on the diamond to make mscv speak and recognize germany language?

I got the installation cab from the german release here, but think it would also work this way rather than written in the first post what does not work for me, cos msvc (the current build like 19719) is part of my rom and NOT installed to program files but to \windows.

da mußt nix tun, geht automatisch. (Wenn nicht: 1.) Mülltonne öffnen, 2.) Gerät hineinschmeißen, 3.) Fertig)
oder Var. 2: vermutlich hast dein Gerät zu tode bespielt (verstellt), also dann rate ich als Test: 1.) Backup machen 2.) MSMC 1.60 Ger. cab installieren 3.) wenn errormeldung , einfach ignorieren (ist bekannter bug) 4.) Softreset -- Fertig
