What version of Spb backup did you try ?

It works fine both for saving and restoring if you disable the "close all running programs" in the menu - works for me!

Hi!

I do not know the difference between "spb backup" and "pim backup", but "pim backup" (you can get it on http://www.dotfred.net) works perfectly on the diamond.

pimbackup just backup pim data such as contacts, SMS,...spb backup backup all data include registry and programs etc....

Okay, this means that "pim backup" is not the best alternative for spb backup.

Why not using the HTC edition of sprite backup? It's free.

right! using it for a month. E X C E L E N T ! the only one that never let me down. before i am doing some crazy experiment or debugging a new program i am using it. peace of mind...
please stop this thread. you asked, you got yr answer, now stop. this is diamond forum. spb and sprite has their own forums. google and ask there. please.

i realy like the spb backup but i heared that it have some problem when restoring

so i switch to sprite backup

I have restored the Diamond a lot, with SPB Backup. No problem. You can restore after a rom flash, it detects the rom flash and asks for a special restore, you can easily restore a part of the backup, etc.

No problem at this time with this product :cool:

all bug fixed

Version 2.0.1 (July 10, 2008):

1- "Backup failed due to critical error" explained (more detailed description added) in Sync tool

2- Crashes on the Stop processes stage fixed

3- Memory consumption in tight RAM conditions on backup stage reduced

4- Does not make a soft-reset in case of active call
