How to install this ROM:
1)Before you install the ROM run Cert_SPCS.cab and EnableRapi.cab on your device. Don't forget to reset after that.
2)Now run Upgrade_ROM.bat and wait till its finished.
3)Make a hard reset and let it start. (For the first time, this can take up to 5 min

No, soory. It doesn't work with the first one, because the first one as an other CPU. This other CPU isn't suported by WM 5 and upper.

Tried with the camera, but mine was upside down before. I fixed that, but now it doesn't go back to mormal mode. And for that there is no fix.

Does anyone know: Can I write scrips that do an action after runing a program. (That would be the solution, because I can run the screen rotate after using the camera.)

No the Camera works very fine. But if it runs the camera app, it changeshe screen to landscape. And when I close the camera app, it doesn't change back to portrait.

First posibility: If you only want it for you install the Packs as cabs on your Device.
Second posibility: Send the stuff to me I can cook it in the new Version, that all can use it.

Or write the problem it gives to you and I will tell you why.

my re-pack method ;)
prepare-imgfs os.nb -n
dump_imgfs imgfs_raw...
pkgtool move missing files and directories
edit my SYS and OEM folder what i want:
add batterystatus, smsfix, windows live,rdp klient, and some other app.
then run buildos, prep_imgfs, buildimgfs, makeimgfs
and update new os.nb to mdacp2

my experience:
some small application works great, but add all my favorits app. buildimgfs send error encountered... end stop

i think your os.nb file size too small for my 'big' app, but this method works fine with vlodeck 6.0 rom.

Wow, great implimentation of 6.1, best thing is my charmer's batter life. Using the WM6 Touchflo rom i was gettin two days standby time with nothing but the phone function, now with this ROM I have everything running, BT (in visible mode), Push E-mail, Beam, three other e-mail accounts, SD card in and listenting to an hour+ music a day and getting 6 days between charges.

Looking forward to the next version, hope there are some more standard bits, like newer comms manager and games. Apart from that, it's brill!

I have never tryed to use an SDHC Card. I think the Drivers are included in Wm 6.1. But I can't know. If no driver from here can enable SDHC I don't think that I can. But I will look at it tomorow.

EDIT: Expansion Slot doesn´t work! And the IntelliDialler function is not available...

The expansion slot works fine on mine, so I think this is a problem of your Device. Touchflo is there and working on mine. If you mean the Cube, it isn't there. There will be a cube in the next release.

Try to reinstall the ROM and TouchFlo and the expansion slot should work. I don't know what InteliDialer is so I can't say something about it.

I have problems with bluetooth!! I cant send a file from another phone to my charmer.
I can recognize devices but reciving a file can be problematic.
Dunno why.

It would be great to have a bim backup and simmanager in programs folder!! :D.

Just about to try version 0.2.3. Although in 2.2 the on-screen call button didn't work with last caller, quite annoying. Also might be useful to include the Network Wizard, or at least the cab file, to speed up set up of the device.
The only other one i would request you add is the Cyberion Voice Speed Dial software. I use it when the phone is paired to my car kit.

I will add the Networkwizard and maybe the Dialsoftware.

There is problem with upgrading procces. There is no os.nb. I saw that there is a file called os-new.nb. Quick rename and works fine.
So if u can change this for people who cant read errors it would be grat :D.

THX for that rom but steal i dont see some basics apps like backups etc.
Oh and it would be great to have an english version of htc home plugin and htc customizer.

File is renamed. Soory that HTC home Plugin is German. It is the only OEM that worked in my ROM. I will ad the customizer, so that you can change the language.

So far everything ok, but I can´t push the 'ok', 'x' buttons in the upper right.

Seems, that I can push them, and their function is given, but these windows don't close and I have to get back per start->heute

Found another bug...when I write a SMS and quit, I say, don't save SMS the windows logo is turning in loopback and hangs

The Problem that the windows don't close is sometimes also on mine. But this is because WM never closes any Window it runs it in the back. The SMS thing isn't on mine.

You are the first one with this problem. Because of this I don't think it is the dirver. But to be shure: Do you mean the software button on the upper right or the hardware button? I'm a littlebit confused now.

I discovered slow speed using GSM module. When someone call me, there is long delay. At first I see that unknown calling me and after few second I see whitch person is it.
People then telling me, that i dont answer long time, but i dont know who calling me :).
This is strange behaviour and in WM6 isnt. Everything else is faster, but only this is strange.

You can't change the hight, but you can deactivate it. Go to settings>personal>Today>Items and uncheck HTC Home.

You have to install batfix manually (changed in next Version) and you have to flash back to WM5 first and do it as desribed including installing the two files.

jep I saw stopwatch but i liked more that HTC home is not in German anymore ;)
Cause German reverted me back to SPB software.
And HHC is great tool too.

I dont like splash screen.
It stays on on first startup and it's hard to find spots when aligning screen.
And it stays as default background that messes up with HTC home aplication.
To dark so you can't see almoust anything .

So far I also see that Device Information in settings isn't working but who cares.

That is not the splash that stays. I will do a new background cause that is it. The problem with aligen screen was also me. In the next Version I will change that grey to white. Home everything else is ok. Seen the problem with device information. That is because of a changing by me. Changed back next release.

You have to install the two cabs first. And do a softreset then run the upgradeutility. It's all said in post 1.

I have set all good, but, when i tap on "send/recieve" i see "Synchronization Error".

The MMS is a problem of the provider, I think. For me it works ok.

I have been using this ROM for a while and recently added the x-button and large start menu htc cabs, and ever since have had massive battery drain, I havent had the time to see which app caused the drain or if it was the use of both of them, however I was having an average of 1.5 - 2 days use without the apps and MS directpush on, and since installing them have been suffering with abit over 15hrs battery life even with limited Push mail or other apps active. Has anyone else noticed this?

Try to flash with German WM5 from T-Mobile. Search it on the web. Install it and don't hardreset after installation. If the charging state is under 50% power it up with a AC-adaptor.

My charmer also dead yesterday and with the same errors.
I installed on TouchFLO Charmer WM6 by vlodeck . During the
installation there were the errors like " 3 partitions, 2 binary partitions

This is OK.
You have to download official WM 5 ROM and flash trught Boot Loader mod (hold camera button and then stick reset with stylus).

I have another question for you. I looked at WM6.1 German (Diamond Edition v0.9a) by cYBERdEL and I saw, that this rom uses newer version of some component such as MMS Composer. Why?

Test it, if I don't do a ROM for a longer time I also use it, cause your Motherlanguage is always more frindly to you. I know that.

And the callduration is simple: Change the skin. I won't change it in normal ROM, but I'll erease it in upcomming Vanilla.

Reformat the card. If that doesn't work open the phone and heat the mainboard a littlebit were the cardholder is located. This could help.

Hy. I have T-Mobile MDA Compact II and i tried to put this rom. And i have a problem with it. When it connect to mobile network (Orange RO) the device is restarting. When is not connected to mobile network is OK (without SIM or flight mode). Now I have: ROM version: 3.8.2.21 WWE, Radio Version: 2.69.21, Protocol Version: 4.1.12.30, ExtRom Version: 3.8.2.127, OS: 5.1.461 (Build 15671.3.3.0)

I have tried also with AKU 2.2. Same problem.

I am trying to upgrade my friend's Charmer with ChrBeck's rom and I am stuck at the following error:

1. I upgraded from the original ROM to the last T-Mobile's UK (RUU_Charmer_38221_382116_026921_TMO_UK_WWE_Ship.e xe).
2. Next I copied the Cert_SPCS.cab and EnableRapi.cab to a SD card and installed from there to the Device storage.
3. Disconected the phone, performed a soft reset and reconnected the phone to the PC.
3. Executed the Upgrade_ROM.bat from the PC and got the error above. Nothing else was working, resetting the device it stops at the IPL/SPL/GSM/OS screen. I have to reset to the bootloader and downgraded to the WM5 ROM.
4. On the device there was a messagebox saying "No text files found".

Any suggestions or even better, solutions?

suddenly functioned usb no more and akku loaded no more.
akku was OK, externally loaded.
then I have installed official wm5 rom, however, went only about bootloader modus. unfortunately, usb had no function.
then I wanted to install your wm6 rom, but upgrade_rom.bat does not loaded. how can I install it, nevertheless? i have no software found, which functions with bootloader modus.

It comes with touchflo but not with TouchCube. There should be TouchFlo settings and it should work. But there is no cube. I'm not rit of a Virus on my PC so I can't do a new ROM.

Yes I can and I will. But as sayd before there is a virus on my PC. It seems to be written for my PC and it is in every .exe. No Programm gets it. So I have to take a very old Version to hand in. I hope I am able to get rid of the Virus till end of the month. Then I'll give you a vanilla (pure) Kitchen and also publish a vanilla ROM. And I'll update this ROM. Hope you can wait till then. If not pm me and I'll tell details of the Kitchen.

Sure I can wait. Yesterday I successfully extracted CyBERdEL's Manila2D ROM (also based on WM6.1), made a little modification (translate some mui, remove some program), put all together and flash it back to my charmer. Maybe I can do the same with your ROM, but I think it would be easier to ask for a pure kitchen and start ROM building from the scratch.
I hope you can successfully disinfect you computer and continue to develop this great ROM.

Made some modification: removed 3rd party softwares: HTC Home, HHC, pocketnotepad, stopwatch, psshutxp, etc.
The result is a very fast WM6.1 (nearly pure) ROM with an empty ExtROM.

But be careful, because the version of the dll is the most important.
With version 2.21.0.0 (This is is in your ROM version 0.3.1) Device Information works but only partially. (Only ROM version displayed, nothing more) With this dll, there are an issue with the power control.
The issue is the following: After opening Device Information, the short push of the power button will reset the device! :mad:

Version 1.7.0.0 (coming from HTC Home plugin 2.1) is working fine with full device info :) and no power problem!!

Pls. find the attached htcutil.dll (1.7.0.0)

I found netcf 3.5 in this forum (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=350279), with some modification: rename cgacutil.exe.500~699~ARMV4I and mscoree.dll.500~699~ARMV4I to cgacutil.exe and mscoree.dll.
Also need to set netcf 3.5 as the default netcf provider for the ROM described here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=373712)

Have you done a Hard Reset after flashing? Because normally the ROM works. It works for me and some others so the copy is ok. Just go to the bootloader and flash a original ROM. After that try the update again.

I just discovered that I have been stupid enough not to read the full instruction. I just discovered that IPL/SPl version is 1.12 and i should have upgraded to version 2.XXX.

So I went into bootloader mode, in an effort to restore back to factory rom but connection error, as phone is not dectected in bootloader mode. Anyway of doing that via the SD card.

Its not my first time of flashing but , i ve been stupid this time.

I personally don't see a need for it because you can install it yourself. And because my ROMs have a working UC you can add the cab of it to the SDcard and it will install after a hard reset then.

While trying to flash this rom version 0.5.0,I thought that it was stuck,while transfering os.nb,and I made the stupid move...Unplugged the usb cable!!!:mad:

What can I do to revive the phone???

I think you have a problem now. Have you tried to make a hardreset. Do it! It it tells you format failed you have a dead phone. We still can't recover Charmers from that state.

I have already tried it many times,but I forgot to mention it...
After writing my post here,I read many threads related to my problem,and of course I read your answer to somebody else,where you said that there was only one reported case of a revived charmer from this f***ng "format is failed" situation....
No my friend...I can not hard reset...
Nevertheless,I will not give up so easy...
I will try to fix it.I will try everything and every rom that I can find!!
I have nothing to lose,it's bricked anyway...

I found a second reported case of fixing it. The case was lang ago and all links are dead. Today I'll try to get everything used from somewhere else and then let you know the links by PM first. Then it would be cool if you could try it ( It will get hard and I can't help help you much).

We don't have any HardSPL for Charmer. Don't risk flashing Wizard or Prophet SPL. It will damage your device.
