the cab installer is required to install the various registry tweaks needed for this to work.

Can we not rather have the XML to import into AC2.1? Along with instructions cos AC2.1 does not seem to find the xml files too easily...

Alternative might be to embed this extra version of Advance config in Apptodate maybe?

Otherwise I agree it might be easier to ask Shaps permission to embed -rebuild this in his Advanced config?

i have been doing some research and advanced config seems really finicky on what it will import as .provxml

will update if i find a solution

Edit: i think the only solution is the method i have done... importing provxml files is only if you want hard tweaks i believe not options

Schaps, what is still missing in the updated XML's in your 2. is the possibility for the Diamond to use another Mediaplayer than WMP.
A lot of people (can't fidn the thread) would liek to use Bluetooth AVRCP/A2DP with Pocket Player or Coreplayer, but can't.
Did i oversee that one as it WAS/IS availabe for Tytn2 if my memory is good?

i can't find resco explorer key in HKLM\Software\HTC\SmartTouch but i can find, say phone which has the following values

ClassName = Dialog
WheelCount = 1

Should there be a MODE = 4 (or other values) as I found it under EXCEL MOBILE which I found it worked (SmartTouch will zoom in and out).

I installed a cab last night to find out most of the application ClassName, but the original start Menu Scroll running with Flo3D just has a ClassName "Manila", which already exists, I don't think there's anyway would there? :confused:

i only have one fucntion start menu which is wisbar and it does work in that

Anybody having problems opening comm Manager after installing Advance Config v3? Mine doesn't seem to open after I installed and changed the tweaks that were [default] to [advised].....

UPDATE: Don't worry, found out what the problem was... Changed the Glyph Cache back to 8kb [default] from 16kb [advised] and the Comm Manager works fine again... strange....

my guess is because it replaces the advanced config file so completely removing it would crippl advanced config

I have some weird things. I have installed v1 and v2, without uninstalled v1. Then when I tried to uninstall, error popped up showing "cannot completely remove the program". There are now two entries in the program list.

Strange thing is when I try to install v3.1, the installation showed unsuccessful but I can still find the new options in Advance Config. No new entry available when I try to uninstall v3.1.

I think I have crashed some links/files. :(

Great to see xml version so as to avoid the uninstallation.

However, I found it did not work for smart touch again! I suspect the ClassName is missing in the xml.

Also, the wheelcount value will not write into registry if i use the default! i need to "toggle" the value, say change from 1 to 2 and then back to 1 again to let Advanced Config write the new values into registry.

Hahaha...to be honest, I'm not sure why I keep running into trouble with the Advance Configs.

This time (version .4) an error message box appears when I open Advanced Config, stating [An error occurred while parsing settings file]. I'm still able to access it though, but just a weird error message. Any reason why?

Thanks for the great "add-ins" But...
I had some issues with my Diamond after installing v .31!
So i tried uninstalling it again bacause I thought that it might have some thing to with your "add-in"! But it was not your fault:)
...anyway, I could not uninstall it("completely" was the error massege)!
I cant reinstall it either. And ofcause I can't install the new v .4 because the old version(v .31) isn't completely removed?

I've also tried to uninstall "Schaps Ad-config app" and then uninstall your "Add-in" also without succes!

Do your an idea of what I can do? I meen, I would love to be up-to-date with your great Diamond tweaks:D

After installing Advanced config to my Diamond I'm unable to find the program anywhere. I installed to device and got the successful install message but can't find the program, any idea why?

I'm using the TLR rom if that's any use to you.

what exactly is it that you want to do ?

As far as I remember, in a certain Adv.config application, there was - is the possibility to choose a "default Media Player" it either refered to WMp or something els installed and identfied bu this tweak.

What it did was overwriting the AVRCP-A2DP settings linked with one to another 3rd party application.

The issue currently is that A2DP - AVRCP is only linked with WMP - TF3D music player and more and more people look for alternatives.
(already 3 similar threads opened you see):(

I do presume that this is indeed out of scope for your Dimaond tweaking as such, but if you would be o r get in Toch with Schaps, maybe he knows the trick (as I though he had this build in is nid previous older release for Tytn II)

By the way, I could not get Coreplayer working with the intentioned tweak you build in (no scrolling and Coreplayer does not appear in the tweak where enable - disable can be set )

On launching AC2.1 I saw that the diamond sections (installed via b66 CAB) had disappeared.

I unistalled b66 from Remove Programs and reinstalled it and the sections have returned, but I do not know if nikagl's sections are still there or not.

Perhaps your installation routines are overwriting a common file?

Or (most likely) I am doing something wrong.

Can you shed some light on this?

fact is that trying to install the last release either gives the possibility to "uninstall' the previous one (which fails indeed) or to "cancel' (only two options)

I tried even with PocketMechanic Pro to remove redundant parts but indeed, 4.2 can not be installed, and I do not see any changes in the tweaks refering to nikagls XML add-ons?

well the latest cab will not have errors in installing

and wont appear in installed items

so you can resinstall over and it will just ask you to continue and you hit yes... but no way to remove teh other program from list =x

EXACT! Dutch name is; 'Intern geheugen'.

Found a bug i think, HSDPA setting works upside down. On=Off and the other way around.

Assisted GPS doesn't really work well and most navigational software crashes with it (igo/Sygic/MCguider etc.) so advisable would be Disabled.

Advised would be to keep the 'security warning' enabled for the less experienced user. With upcoming virus thingies for mobiles, executing a dangerous dll/exe should be preventable before it's executed by seeing the warning. Depending on how you see the message of course, i have it set to disable, but for newbies.. not sure if disable is a good idea :p

Animate menu's is set to advised, but causes bugs with black start menu and more when overlaying touch flo 3D. Wouldn't call it advised that way.

Can you kindly add the scroll wheel support for coreplayer, windowsmedia player and the htc audio manager please ? It would save a lot of time in having separate reg edit files to use each time after installing a rom.And if possible can you also add the soft key suport on touchflo home screen to add the prorams via your cab.

Installed your program first before realizing I needed AC2.1 After a reinstall it moans now about an old version of the app, but after pressing continue it says the installation failed!
As I have no clue what should be installed after a successfull install I have no way of checking if something happened now. I also noticed there is no way to uninstall your app? I feel a bit screwed

Is there any way to change the name yourself? I have the CeRegistryEditor, but cant seem to find the registry key to change it. It just made some issues with saving files and stuff.

Otherwise i'll just swipe the entire system and start over.

In the original schaps advanced config, I could easily set the finger pressure to number from 1 to xxx, No I can only choose between normal, high, very high etc. Can this be put back in the nex version, I think that editing the registy by hand isn't the easiest way...

Hi SorcererJP,

I guess Boinger kan change that in his XML-version. The main reason for it, is that he took my XML-version for the non-Diamond Tweaks which includes advices which option to choose. An advice cannot be set to a specific tweak. In my next version, I'll add a "custom" version of those kinds of tweaks so you can either choose for the adviced settings, or a custom. This will make the tweaks list and the time to load Advanced Config a lot longer though...

Smart Scrolling means scrolling up/down by using a circular touch over the Jogwheel's external ring. Normally (by default) used to ZI/ZO in Opera and HTC Album. When so enabled in Advanced Config it can add some more functionality, eg scrolling in various apps, but not all yet.

I have the Diamond with Dutch ROM (1.37.404.3 NLD)

When I (re)install I get the message that a previous version of the program will be removed, then I immediately get a message that the previous version cannot be removed and if I want to continue. When I press 'Yes' I get a choice to install in main mem or internal storage. When I choose one I get a message that the installation has failed. I do have the AdvancedConfig_0409_xml in my Windows folder.

I don't know if I got the install fail message the first time I installed

I've been playing around with this because I really want it for internet explorer, that would be so cool. I think a registry entry would do it, something like

I have a question concerning one particular option.

I have a XDA Diamond from O2 Germany.

In advanced config in the Diamond options part I accidentally selected the option Internal Storage/Storage Card Swap. I did not swap anything but the damn (otherwise awesome) program changed my German folder "Interner Speicher" to "Internal Storage". How do I reverse that? Other than a hardreset?

I simple rename in the file manager does not work, of course, but what works?

Under "Photos and Videos" icon in TouchFlo.: I have different photo albums. Each album contains a number of pictures. I have named them page 1, page 2 etc.
When I set an album as Favorite or just try to scroll through it; the pages does not appear in an order. The first page is for instance page 7 and when I scroll to the next page it will be page 2... Insted of showing "page 1" first and then "page 2" and so on...

Is it possible to solve this through Advance Config?

* IntetnetPortal

But the Globe picture remains... My ROM is last HTC official one in spanish language.

yeah the app should integrate into A.C 3 giving u more categories for finetuning ur diamond. Some people (including me) have some issues for now though, we don't get more categories. Is it working for u?

It is working. But not using the CAB from the first post. I renamed the xml file and updated the original V3.0 CAB. No the options are showing up correct :)

The problem is, that the cab is configured to install an XML file with the name "AdvancedConfig_0409- 3.0.xml", but Advanced Config expects its settings file to be "AdvancedConfig_0409.xml".
So the easiest way to solve this is go to "\Windows" in you favourite file explorer, delete the file "AdvancedConfig_0409.xml" and rename "AdvancedConfig_0409- 3.0.xml" to "AdvancedConfig_0409.xml".

EDIT:
Quickly made a new cab file for you, including the fixed xml.
Just install and voilá - you have the new settings in Advanced Config.

I have installed advacned config 3.3 and boinger add on v6, I have diamond settings now available in advaced config tool, but I do not have the smart scrolling for core player, althoug I do have it for rexco explorer and other applications.
