Hi guys,

I just tried out the HTC Touch Pro, aka Raphael today.
it is seemly blazing fast as compare to HTC Diamond/Victor...

I have also found out it has a newer radio as compare to the 1.00.25.3 that we are having on Diamond.

Here are some photos, i will add in the snapshots later of the os later...

here's the link to the dump for part00.raw to part02.raw:
http://www.fs2you.com/files/a58787a1-4e64-11dd-a84e-00142218fc6e/

Guys, thanks for the mirrors. :) Hope the dump is useful one way or another.
Once i have the pre-release version of the rom, i will upload it. but might takes weeks to months before i can get my hands on it.

@ruffruff:

It'd be nice if you could post the dumps on mediafire.

I guess the radio should be compatible with the Diamond's since it's basically the same hardware; did anybody find out how to dump / flash radios on the diamond yet?

hi adwinp,

mediafire will be out of the question as i am in a part of the world where mediafire seems to in-accessible to me. i will try to find a space to upload the parts.

but, is the rom useful in anyway? and which parts are the useful ones? sorry as i am no cooker, just learn to dump roms. :)

fs2you is slow

If mediafire isn't available for you, I'd recommend filefactory, zshare or badongo.

You can compress with 7zip (lzma achieves better compression than rar, zip)

Hi bro,

I have uploaded the files to
http://www.fs2you.com/files/a58787a1-4e64-11dd-a84e-00142218fc6e/

I will try your recommendations when i get home. :)
but in the mean time, please bear with the speed on fs2you.com

one other thing is that, this is not a retail rom.
hopefully it will be useful for the cookers in the xda community.
or else, i will be making a fool of myself and going through meanless hassle to upload the rom :)

for those unfamiliar with this format,

part00 = update loader
part01 = CE XIP
part02 = IMGFS

you'll probably just want part01 and part02. they can be manipulated with the standard tools (bepe's xipport, tadzio/mamaich imgfstools)

I guess we can risk making a diamond ROM straight out of it, since basically, the diamond and raphael have the same hardware, except for the additional RAM as well as keyboard and SD card drivers, which shouldn't prevent us from using our touch screen.

no, you can't, the larger memory size probably means a lot of stuff is in a completely different place.... not only that, you can't really expect everything to be in the same place ... kb for example takes up a lot of i/o... you'll probably be fine if you use diamond XIP and OEMDRIVERS though.

I've successfully rebuilt and flashed my DIAM100 with the Raphael ROM.

Here are the details:
Windows build 19960.1.2.2

Protocol 52.26a.25.09U

My internal storage isn't showing though, so I guess I'll have to use original OEM diamond drivers.

Also, this version comes without manilla (didn't try installing unistallable manilla yet), but features encryption.

I'll keep you posted should I want modding it.

bro, u R FAST!!!
looking forward to see your new rom.
just a suggestion, maybe you can consider building one without touchflo 3d but with the classic htc home :)

btw, one small request.
could you kindly add in the asian wince.nls file into your rom?
i know it is 5 times bigger than the usual one (approx 1mb) but it will be really useful for the asian folks.

thanks a million!

Hows the radio (GPRS, 3G etc) compare to the diamond radio, if it's working ok with GPS, Wi-Fi and has better reception would it be possible to make a new rom with the radio only, thanks :)

I don't think i can help on this. I just tried rapidshare and my upload speed is 3.86kb/sec. it will take be 353.5 minutes to upload the entire thing.

so you can try to download it off any of the links in the 1st post. I believe it will be much much faster than me uploading it to rapid share.

I've flashed whole raphael xip region and device worked)

but i saw only 88 mb of available ram!)) Coz in device info was only 128 mb of ram instead 192 :))

So i think we have a chance to get more available by editing xip

What about "Internal Storage"?

I had trouble with this one.
The stock Raphael ROM doesn't recognize Diam's Internal
storage.
Maybe it's beacause of another controller needed for the external SD card... I'll have more free time during the week end so I can probably look into that.
