Does it have only one usb plug?

Does this mean that you can only sync/charge and not charge with a mains charger?

The reason I ask is that my old P3600i cradle had two usb plugs, one for sync and another one that took the mains charger.

You can pretty much see there isnt a slot for another battery, but there is a option to change insert where the phone goes in to put a bigger batter. I dont know if MathijsB has it included though, my purchase it doesnt say anything about getthing that insert with it though

It can be charged and synchronised with HTC Touch Diamond AC Adaptor UK TC B100 (not included) or HTC Touch Diamond Data Cable DC U300 (USB/miniUSB) (not included).
This cradle comes with two inserts (the plastic holders) for Touch Diamond and Touch Diamond extended battery and it also supports the inline connection of the following optional accessories:
HTC Touch Diamond Multifunction Audio Cable YC A200

Is it Possible to:

Sync via USB and Charge via normal Power Cable?

HTC Touch Diamond AC Adaptor UK TC B100 <<< Is Power=>USB, too!

Is theire a "round" 5-6-12V Powerinput?

Rambler76

It can be charged and synchronised with HTC Touch Diamond AC Adaptor UK TC B100 (not included) .

The TCB100 is an AC mains charger and does not sync at all, so this reference is incorrect.

or HTC Touch Diamond Data Cable DC U300 (USB/miniUSB) (not included).

As the cradle has only one usb input, it seems the only way to charge the diamond with this cradle is to use the strandard usb cable and slow charge over usb.

Could a mini-usb splitter be used to achieve both at once?

As slick as it looks, no one else feel this dock is a bit of a rip off for £30?
It doesnt even come with a spare charger!!

it's quite a ripoff, I wanted to buy one too, but they are too expensive right now. i'm now waiting until it gets cheaper. €20 is absolute maximum i'd pay for it. I mean, it's just plastic, it probably only takes $1 to produce it.

Having given you question some thought I can see your point - You do not want to have to worry about switching cables to mains charger to charge if the PC is switched off - dual input would be ideal but I'm not sure how the Diamond would react?

I personally only want the Cradle for charging and linking with a set of decent speakers so see it more of a design accessory? When I want to sync I'll just stick to the basic usb cable to connect to my PC.

The right input is the line out.

This output is for headphone minijack.

So u can connect it with headphones, pc speakers etc.

Works very good i must say with my Logitech 2.1 speaker system ^^

Guys, don't you realize that you, the cradle owners, hold the answer to one of the most important questions around this forum?

Grab a caliper gauge, a meter, a ruler or whatever you want and tell us how much thicker the inset for the extended battery is!!!

Please :)

Arrived today - Very pleased. Looking at the Build Quality and the fact that its a "design" thing as well as a functional peice of kit I'm happy with the price. :)

I have a post on the HTC Dual forum asking for advice as I fried the usb port on my Touch Dual after a power surge on my Vista based pc  - I wouldnt advise connecting TWO simultaneous (effective) power supplies to a phone that costs circa £400 even if you can find the cables (The ones shown in the photo's on other posts are not the correct configuration anyway)???

Its up to you to try - in the mean time I'd advise against it....

As for MY NEW CR G300 cradle.......

I now have it linked to a set of Bose Speakers - VERY impressed - charging and delivering an amazing sound - kicks the Ipods Ass - and there's a TV out cable on its way too! (See previous post)

Well, it is very true that the cradle supports the TV out cable. What is also true, however, is that the web site you quote forgot to fully state what the HTC manual which comes with the cradle reads, which is (literally, as I have it in front of my eyes):
"TV Out Cable TC A110 (for selected HTC handsets)"

So, yes: the cradle will support the TV out signal, but the Diamnod cannot supply one!

Ok. by the looks of it you can only charge via one Way or the other not USB and AC at the same time. Thats fine.

I think in a previous post people were talking about the tedium of changing between the AC and USB when the computer is off and you want top charge your diamond.

If any of you have a USB Hub that has Powered USB ports (the actual module comes with an AC adapter) You can plug your Diamond/Cradle into the Powered Ports via any USB data cable and you will not have to worry about ever using your AC plug on the cradle.

I have the new CDMA (Sprint) version of the Touch Diamond. Does anybody know if the original cradle is compatible with it? The CDMA version has a rounded bottom and is a few mm thicker.

Also, my battery has lousy life. I need to do one of three things: use it less or for shorter times, get a bigger battery or get a second battery to make it thru thr est of the day. I guess I could also bring a charging cord with me wherever I go (4th option).

Thanks.

On the HTC UK website and also on Expansys they are offering a two CR300s, with one priced 1 pound more than the other. From what I can tell they are exactly the same cradle. Does anyone know what this 'extra' pound gives you, if anything?
