I've inherited the surface rom kitchen from bram_smulders, and it's a hell of a job to carry such a heavy load.
But i'll try, and will not dissapoint you, becouse im a "close friend" of brams.
And he will be peaking around the corner to see if i'm doing my job here.;)

UC 2.0 Compliancy

After flashing the ROM the device will boot up and do some final install steps followed by a reset.
Before that reset you can add your own personal settings or install cab's that you want to be automatically installed after a hard reset.

To use this feature you need to create this text file to the root of you the Internal Storage:

\<Internal Storage>\sdconfig.txt


IMPORTANT: While of the first boot the name of the "Internal Storage" will be just "Storage" for all languages, which will make things easier


Setting up the Internal Storage:
Make a folder where you put your cabs/tweaks in eg. "install"


Configurate the SDconfig file:
Install a cab file
CAB: \Storage\Install\sample.cab
NOTE: Set the read only attribute for the cab files, else the cab's get deleted after install

Executing a Provisioning XML File
XML: \Storage\Install\sample.xml

Executing an Executable
EXEC:\Storage\Install\sample.exe argument

Including another config file
CFG: \Storage\Install\sampleconfig.txt

Is the Surface 6.1.1.16 NLD Rom fully based on the HTC NLD_1.37.404.3
The Bram Surface 6.1.1.15 NLD version had many older versions of HTC programs then in the NLD_1.37.404.3 ROM . Also Opera was an older version.

Theres no much change exept for newer program versions and tomtom7.
6.1.1.17 NL will be a mayor update an will come available in Blue/White and in Black/Green.

Sorry was not the rom. I had set in advanced configurator to have animated menu's. Enabling gives the problem, disabling resolves it.

Got another small issue I can't figure out...

MMS not working (can't connect?)Cannot find anything strange in connection setup.
Vodafone live not working (Have enabled with cab) (Watching TV is cool).

My very favorite of the ROMs... The blue looks great... I'll have to learn Dutch ;)

Some cool things to think about would be:
1. Why have a soft phone button at the home screen when the phone key works just as well? (This is to do with all ROMs)

2. Remove touch screen answer/hang up buttons, It picks up in my pocket before i realise it was calling and people end up talking to my thigh.(I just tried to see if i could do that my self unfortunately i have the NLD on :D )

Once again great work... great apps! Power management is a massive issue maybe a CPU throttling program?

thanks for all the effort that has been put in it, but i was wondering
if it possible to disable the tilting of the screen in every application.

Sometimes it takes a long time before the phone reacts on my touches and in most of the cases the screen is upside down when I take him out of the standby mode.

haha, to prevent from startup, just delete the ts_gesensor.lnk from windows/opstarten.

You can edit the txt file in tools folder to select wich programs must be rotating and wich not.

In the next releases i build the tool in but not load atr startup.

On your rom, I got the .net 3.5 error, and a fresh install was not possible...

In the next version there will be gsen, but not loaded at first boot, you can choose to use it or not.

If you open tt7 youll be prompted to download a map of your choice, download it, install it om internal storage or the phone and it works.

I downloaded some maps from usenet (nieuwsgroepen) like te benelux, west europe etc etc...and when i install those maps on the internal storage card, TT
says wrong key....argh....

Go to settings personal, select today. Go to the items tab, unselect Touchflo3D. Softreset the device. Now open in the menu programs, games, tools etc. You will notice that all icons are correct now. Now go back to settings/system/today/items and select Touchflo3D again. (optional) Softreset again and now the icons are correct for a while till you install new applications. You can repeat this procedure.

Ga naar instellingen, persoonlijk, vandaag en kies voor het tabblad items. Deselecteer touchflo 3D. Softreset. Kies vanuit de startbutton alle folders. Iconen worden nu goed getoond. Ze touchflo 3D weer. Softreset nogmaals (optioneel) en nu blijven de iconen voor een tijdje goed totdat je nieuwe applicaties installeerd. Herhaal het dan.

This also happens with the original factory ROM (NLD).
It stopped when I turned of the HTC enlargestartmenu and htc largetitlebar services.

TT7 is cooked in for the people who want it to use with the free maps from tt.
How you get your maps is not my problem, and i'm certainly not responsible that you'r maps dont work with it.

BTW, another question, ive got .17 running like a charm, how can i backup

It is actually a port of the 1.93 rom to work with the 1.37 nld, becouse there is no 1.93 nld official, so mayb it seems like the 1.37 it has the apps and such from the 1.93.

Yes, my brother's diamond shows that behaviour aswell.
Can you please check if your homescreen battery icon is the same as the screenshot on the 4th post?
And mayb you can confirm that you have an mda compact 4 instead of a touch diamond.
And mayb post your radio aswell.

Yess I have that as well, but i guess one is the default HTC and the other one is the one with the option to disable 3G....

However that doesnt bother me so much... Only the battery is irritating me alot :D

You can choose 'whatever program there' is from settings/menu.

Setting up the "Voice Speed Dial"
Go to Start-Instellingen-Knoppen
There you can choose the program you want to use by holding down the call button.
It works fine for me.

The voices are not included in the ROM. Copy these to a 'voices' folder to the internal storage and Tomtom 7.45 wil find them (scans certain folders when starting up tomtom).

You can use Tomtom Home 2.3 application to download voices directly from tomtom. It will install them too to the voices folder.

but ok, in the second posting I see 3 files, one of which is the hard spl that I have allready used before flashing to the elite 2.0 rom (this one: Unsigned-Hard-SPL-Diamond-OliNex.zip )

Thats right, since i made this rom uc 2.0 compliant i removed all the programs that i feel are unnessicairy.
There's a changelist coming.

And on a short while there will come a light version of the .20 also with uc.

Well if u had tomtom already, u only have to install the cab, u can find it here on the forum, also there is a better config program available.

I'm just finished with installing everything i wanted on it, and i'm very happy with this rom, a nice quick and stable dutch rom! Nice work Surface, i'm off to bed now ^^

There's no radio included in this rom, you can re flash the radio at any time but remember that flashing a radio my cause an hard reset.
the .05 is the latest original radio, the newer ones are beta, but im running the .11 stable for a while.

Some people have problems witht, the .20 rom, but some don'nt, I should say flash and try.

Here is what I did to change them on mine, maybe overkill but it works:

Ho cercato in giro ma niente di interessante, sarei grato per qualche link e qualche spiegazione.
Ho visto che anche il Video tutorial non funziona correttamente.
