NewMailAccount.exe not working on Tilt

I'm trying to add a new mail account on my tilt but it doesn't open the wizard to add an account.

I Just did a hard reset.

I have two Mail accounts:
Exchange - set up and working perfectly
Messaging (text and mms) - working

I went to add a yahoo account and the add new account wizard doesn't open. I went into the windows directory and found a file: NewMailAccount.exe, and when I click on it it does nothing. Other files open fine, but this one does not.

Has anyone else experienced this? It was working properly before the hard reset (I was able to add additional accounts). If anyone can send me that app I'd like to try just copy over the one that doesn't work.

Thought maybe I would post some more info.

The file I think is corrupt is called:

NewMailAccount.exe

This file is located in the \windows directory.

The file size is (according to Total Commander) 9680 bytes.
The file date is 1/17/08

Can someone please confirm they have a working version of this NewMailAccount.exe and see if it matches the file size and date I have listed above?

If someone has this file, maybe they can be kind enough to post it here so that I can try it out.

What rom are you using?

And have you tried>>>

Open up your exchange server account, click on:

Menu \ Tools \ New Account

Or have you tried using the mail button and select "New E-Mail Account"?

Hi,
Stock ATT Rom, complete with bloatware, 8GB card
Freshly hard reset, then installed (all on phone, not on card):
SPB PP, Diary
Google Maps
WLS
Bandswitch
TCPMP
TotalCommander
HTC Streaming Media
HTC Album
Soft Button
UI Tweaker
Made a few registry tweaks:
ATT Animation - off
SMS Sent Notify - Off
Remap PTT

All of this and probably more was on there before I hard reset, and I was able to add more email accounts.
I tried your method but it doesn't do anything. I mean, nothing happens after selecting New Account and the same thing happens if I click on NewMailAccount.exe in the Windows Directory.

If someone is willing to post the file NewMailAccount.exe, then maybe I can try it and see if that does the trick?

Hi,
I only added my Exchange account which is set up in Active Sync, not in Messaging app.

So right now I've got SMS, MMS, and Outlook.

My problem was a bad (?) key on HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Inbox/Svc. I had an "almost" empty AirSync key there. After deleting it, everything is working again.

Backup your key first!!! and then try deleting it: HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Inbox/Svc/AirSync. Worked for me. And if it doesn't or something else is broken, bring back the exported key you just backed up.
