GENE DEAD...

hi guys..

i hav a gene 100 or a p3400..

it went dead two days back as i was listening to music..i charged it up again but it just didnt start.. When i press the power button, the green light lights up and nothing else happens...

PLLLLSSSSS help......

the gene doesnt even repond to the resets mentioned in the forum..

pls help me with any software or smthing..

We can hard reset the device just by pressing and holding both the " -" keys right above the answer and end keys and pressing the power button . It will run the ghost image and recover the device ...

note :

1) make sure your battery is more than 50 % charged .
2)you must do a power cycle in your device ( take out the battery , then press and hold the power button ) before you do a hard reset ...

I tried olipro spl on my p3400i and the screen went black.
later on i managed to get it to bootloader mode showing Olipro spl but unable to flash any rom everytime i have same error 300 'get newer update utility '
i tried mtty,htcflasher,hard reset without powering on but nothing works.
phone is stuck at bootloader screen .

help please

Once i put he batery and switch the device on,the green led lightsup and staysthere until i remove the battery..( all this tym the device screen is black..)

the red led lights up when i connect it to my pc..

What are my options??..

Your battery is finished. I started getting that when my charger got messed up and starts taking power out of the battery instead of putting it in. Take out the battery,put it back in, then plug it to your PC and leave it there for a while.

you can do nothing.... i am also having the same problem..... only solution take it to a service centre and tell them to hard flash and reinstall the windows..... my p3400i is in the service centre right now... we cant flash p3400i .... i dont know why???

I too had taken my P3400i to service center but they did no solution Motherboard has be changed ??
and it cost 75%of a new P3400i:(

try to hard reset it and get the boot loader and flash with it the stock rom for p3400i i will give the link soon. my friend did it for me. then i send it to bangloure service centre, now waiting for their reply. They said that if we try to flash it our warranty will be void..... dont know what to do now.......

After running orefcove gene hspl my gene is dead and It goes up to tricolor bootloader and hangs. Cannot do any rom upgrades (ERROR- invalid upgrade tool)
Now SPL is 1.10.Olip

If you have not completed 14 days after buying the device, just take it to HTC service center sying that your device is not booting. At least in my case, those guys couldn't figure out what is the cause (see how efficient they are ;) ) and I got a replacement ! :)

I used the exact same HSPL ... and was able to upgrade to WM 6.1 ROM by cyan..

Nope... its P3400 which came with WM 5.

if you get unlucky they will notice the .olip string in SPL...

as I mentioned, I have some ideas on how to unbrick these, see my other post.
