I created specialy for you a simply exefile. it is native, so it's started very fast and will end very fast. you'll think it does nothing:)
It's name is PrgDoNothing.exe, and it does exactly what it promises :)

copy the exe in the windows dir, and you ssmapa to patch the timeclick with the file prgdonothing.exe... if you put it in the windows directory, you don't have to enter a path..:)

Tested Klaxon at this moment.
Worked with no problem.

The error means that the workingdirectory is wrong.
What does the end '/' in the programfilepath?

It does also launch only one instance on my phone (maybe you though only that 2 instances starts because of the cplmain patch)..

Test it again. On my touch diamond is it working perfectly.

with the present patch I want to associate Pocket Informat to calendar items in home page (Manila3d).
If I'm true, I copied the executable PocketInformant.exe in a folder in storage card (because the patch show me this folder content only), and after I run "Init", I search PocketInformant.exe, after I Deploy the patch, a message tell me it is not nice but I tap to go....
After a soft reset, the result is PochetInformant starts and after manila.exe is the message I have to confrm and another file....., Fplo3D runs and I find the item in the ome opens PocketInformant :)
My questio is, I have to put all .exe in storage card?
Can you solve the problem PocketInformant.exe put in Manila in you application and in Manila at the firt go?

Hi,

just wanted to let you know I got it to work with Agenda One but only for the Calendar. The newest version (2.2.1) just posted today made the difference.

First of all you must make sure you type the full path to Agenda One and make sure to include all the "/" even at the very end of the path.

When the message pops up saying that Agenda One is signed, just click on "Yes".

I just wish there was a way to do the same for Tasks and Contacts. If there is, please please let me know.

I got this working with the contacts by

1. Launch SSMaPa
2. Under Description – Replace POutlook
a. Change New Program to: /program files/agenda one/ agenda one-contacts.lnk
b. Remove the Argument entry
c. Working Dir set to: /program files/agenda one/

For the Tasks to launch the best way for me was to re-map the "phone" soft key to launch agenda one but showing the task page;

Key you need to edit if required is: HKLM\Software\HTC\Softkeys
then amend HomeLSKPath to equal \Program Files\Agenda One\Agenda One-tasks.lnk

Change the HomeLSKText to: ToDoList (or whatever!!)

You can enter the path manually or you can install the FileDialogChanger utility that is recommended in the first post.

I try to do some modifications in Manila and learn the user interface.

One of the things that I want to do is change the behaviour of the mail tab. We have a corporate synchronisation software that populate pocket otlook database but not the configuration files so when you go on the mail tab you see "No account" and you only have the possibility to create a new account but I know that the mails are in there.
When you open sms then go to menu outlook mail, you see them.
So I used your software to change the tmail.exe to tmail.exe -service "ActiveSync" but it only change the behaviour of the New Account option wich now open correctly the mails

Any ideas ?

I can't assign G-alarm to replace standard wm alarm. I entered corect paths, deploy patch, everything passed ok but after i restart TF3D when tap on clock and on alarm wm alarm is started...

If your trying to bring up Different calendar Views, Instead of the last view you had open instead of "PocketInformant.exe" use "PITab.exe"

Then in the Arguments Put:

3 for Day View
4 for Week View
5 for Month View
52 for Year Calendar
2 for Agenda View

These 2 posts and version 0.2.2.2 were the answers to my biggest needs- the ability to access PI's agenda view and contacts. There is no doubt in my mind that the ability to access notes and tasks will come in time.

In your case you have to replace poutlook.exe...

It is working without problems for me.

Guys simlpy do ONE thing, open the lnk in a texteditor, take whatever editor you want and do the following:

In the file is something like this:

130#"\Interner Speicher\Programme\WebIS\PocketInformant\PITab.exe" 9?\Interner Speicher\Programme\WebIS\PocketInformant\PITab.exe

Now the first thing is the application: \Interner Speicher\Programme\WebIS\PocketInformant\PITab.exe

the second thing is the parameter:
9?\Interner Speicher\Programme\WebIS\PocketInformant\PITab.exe

the third thing you need is the working directory, most of the time its the directory in which our exe is:
\Interner Speicher\Programme\WebIS\PocketInformant\


click save and it will work.

And you can't test it on all the local firmwares physically.
If you think it makes sense I can be "your arms" playing with my tamagotchi.

Sure. I didn't put it into my previous comment. I was trying to put GoogleMaps (which is preinstalled on device's Program Files - not on flash card) instead of poutlook with a soft reset. Nothing new.

you can try deleting manila2d.exe from windows folder manually after you have disabled rf2d home plugin...
theoretically there should the old file appear...

Are you using the Background4AllPages CAB? There was a bug with that program that caused the calendar link to stop working. You can find a patch for that somewhere in the thread for that app (I'll try to find it and post later).

Thanks for this. Just got my Touch Pro and to my horror found out Agenda One couldn't be set as default. Now it works - after about 20 tries.

Now only if Agenda One can be set as the default contact/address software.

it can't be that not the correct calendar gets started if you deleted manila.exe... and ssmapa only changes something in manila.exe..

Thanks for the tip. Unfortunately, I can't even get that far. Nothing seems to work for the calendar link. However, it wasn't working before trying SSMaPa (I was hoping it would fix it by mapping to Pocket Informant). I think it got broken installing a theme at some point.

Oh well, I guess I'll try restoring the default manila files and start over.

Could you, please, tell me what do i do to be able to use PocketInformant Contacts and Calendar in Manila. Obviously, i am not a very advanced user, please, be patient. Kindest regards,

it's a strange feature.
I didn't know what the difference between clock and alarm is (this is reason why there stands a '?') :P
wo I implemented simply both of them.

If it really starts the program twice everytime you can try using PrgDoNothing( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2941662&postcount=252 ), and set this to one of the two..

Like everything else.

- Better use SSMaPa only with apps installed on main memory (and an alarm should be there anyway)

- Use full path to executable and the executable

- No parameters (not even $)

- Full path to executable ending with \

- Deply

...and you are set

also:

- for any change I make I *first* revert to original manila and then re-deploy SSMaPa

- be patient, sometimes SSMaPa needs a minute or more to reset to normal manila or to be deployed (helps if you have a task manager that shows if SSMaPa still runs)

I used svenso's advice and used that "do nothing" program with the main clock (easy to accidentaly push), and call G-Alarm with the other choice (with the "?") and can start G-Alarm by pressing the little alarm line below the main clock (seems like the same button and all becomes green, but is not the same button) - in fact it is so small that you need to use the stylus usually

Took your advice and did the same about 10 times to no avail, still not PICalendar. What mistake am I making or this is just my version of ROM on HD? What working directory you are setting for PI. I tried WebIS, and PockeInformant, et al – still not working. Please, advice and cheers.

Hi. Is there any way to change, anything from tha additional tabs ,which we have installed to diamond? I mean , i have add 4 more tabs to manila. eg a mini callendar, etcetera.. Can i cgange it to launce another aplication? I dont want to change anything of the original 10 tabs ..

I put icontact instead of phone, but I cant take it out! It caused me so many problems!
I am performing a full restore, it says (1 file deleted) but icontact opens again when i press the contacts from the phone screen!!!!

It seems that you have the same problem as I have.

Your Rom includes a HD Manilla instead of standard Manilla. SSMaPa seems not to work with theses modified versions of manilla (certainly not the same files names, etc...).

As we're certainly not the only ones that uses both SSMaPa and Manilla HD roms, I hope there will be a fix soon, cause i can't live without SSMaPa, and i'd really like to use HD Manilla and his Stock tab...

I can see in the Task Manager that the manila filename is Manila2.exe and in attachment the rar file containing the 2 exe files (manila.exe and manila2.exe)
Just rename the .zip to .rar

thank you for the files..

it's because for some reasons a hdloader is used which does nothing else than start manila2 and sleep for the rest of the time.

i extended ssmapa (version 0.2.3.0), so that you can input any manila.exe filename.
test the following:

put manila2.exe in the textfiled and try a normal init.. I'm not sure if extended inits also works..

and give me then feedback...

try do disable touchflo plugin, trying to patch again, enable tf3d and then connecting to you computer.. if you didn't disconnect the device and you copied 2 times manila it can be active sync took a cached version...

i have no other ideas at the moment..

After patched the Manila files and clicked "OK" to remove the signature from a standard win ce warning window, I got any error message, Manila just didn't want to start.

I will try again at monday and will send to you the newest Manila files.

I created specialy for you a simply exefile. it is native, so it's started very fast and will end very fast. you'll think it does nothing:)
It's name is PrgDoNothing.exe, and it does exactly what it promises :)

copy the exe in the windows dir, and you ssmapa to patch the timeclick with the file prgdonothing.exe... if you put it in the windows directory, you don't have to enter a path..:)

Just a quick one really, been using your program for a while now and have found it really useful. Thought I would give the prgdonothing.exe program a test as I think it would be very useful. Patched the manila fine but when I click on the time screen I get an error calling prgdonothing.exe as it says it is either unsigned and that it cannot run.
Copied the exe to my windows directory as suggested. Any help would be much appreciated.

I've used v.0.2.3.0 to modify calender.exe into Pocket Informant on my Touch HD.
The only disadvantage is to type the whole pathname ...
I could not find the PI application automatic (SSMaPa did not find it when start "Init" ... only 4 exe files , but also no PI find in "all folders"), so I had to type it by myself.
Will there be a future version to solve this issue?

no, standard roms are normally more compatible than cooked ones..
can you execute the prgdonothing.exe when you click it in the explorer, or appears then also an error?
I think there's a path problem... check this out one more time..

I don't have the problem of HaiLe512. The restore process didn't break anything.
The number of deleted files is 4.

I don't know if HaiLe512 use the same ROM as me but I had tested with 3 differents ROM (Vic 3.2, XMod et CT) and the result was the same.

Alright, I got the file list working.

Now when I map anything, it sais the "exe is signed" and asks me to remove that. When I press "yes", the application closes and nothing works. I would really like to get this to work!

I have also this bug... the problem is that if you wait more that two seconds to press on yes the aplication is automatically minimized in the task manager so you will have to go back in the task manager to maximize again SSMaPa and then finalize the mapping ;)

the deploy on touch hd in verison 0.2.3 isn't very clean.
try to disable the touchflo plugin before beginning to patch.

and do a full restore before you do anything else...

your way is ok.
-> Load Previous settings: click no. (will be bugfixed in next version)
-> Signature: click yes

if the destination exe is not in a shellpath folder you have to type the whole path.
this looks smt like this: /program files/agenda one/agenda one.exe

notice the forward slashs ('/') and the beginning slash.

choos calendar, enable patch, type the path in new program and maybe you have to add to the working dir /program files/agenda one/...

if you have further errors, give me the exact error message, then I will have a look on it..

Trying to add Pocket CM to replace the default contacts manager...

I enter: Patch enabled.
Program: /program files/pocketcm/pocketcm.exe
arguments:
dir: /program files/pocket cm

Then I click save, go to the deploy tab, click deploy patch, it gives the messaged about it being signed and I say ok. and then I click contacts/all people in the T3fD tab on my TOUCH PRO, (Sprint, Juggallo's rom) and nothing happens.

Any ideas?

Trying to add Pocket CM to replace the default contacts manager...

I enter: Patch enabled.
Program: /program files/pocketcm/pocketcm.exe
arguments:
dir: /program files/pocket cm

Then I click save, go to the deploy tab, click deploy patch, it gives the messaged about it being signed and I say ok. and then I click contacts/all people in the T3fD tab on my TOUCH PRO, (Sprint, Juggallo's rom) and nothing happens.

Any ideas?

Facing difficulties as well. Trying to patch the MS calendar with pocketinformant, but getting an error when file is patched.

It worked for me in the 1.93 Swiftblade 7.5 rom. Now in Duttythroy V4
When opening ... (next to: new program calendar.exe) it only gives two files to choose from.
In other words I can't get into the directory with Agenda Fusion in it. Which is in Internal Storage/Program Files/Agenda Fusion/FusionViewWeek.exe.
I tried it manually, including Working Dir.
I can't get it working.
Probably doing something wrong because it worked previously.

Any ideas?

the deploy on touch hd in verison 0.2.3 isn't very clean.
try to disable the touchflo plugin before beginning to patch and do a full restore before you do anything else...
your way is ok.
-> Load Previous settings: click no. (will be bugfixed in next version)
-> Signature: click yes

I read the whole thread trying to find a way to patch the sms application only, instead of tmail.exe as a whole but unfortunately I don't think it's possible yet.

I use VITO sms chat (or to be exact, I would like to use it) and replace the windows sms app. However, if I replace tmail.exe then when I click "All Messages" (on the email tab) I get (as expected) the Vito sms chat instead of my emails.

So, I am looking forward to a newer version where we will be able to patch sms and email separately.

I tried to patch the file requester as describe, but it seems to change nothing :(

Not possible yet, but if this is added it will be amazing. Would be so nice to be able to map the "all messages" key on the sms tab to something like Vito SMS.

Another thing that would be really cool is if you could somehow save your patch settings so that you could restore them easily after a flash.

Hi previously with Duttys 2.9 MSVC Rom, I was able to map Agenda One as a repalcement calendar using the older versions of SSMaPa.
With CT's 6.4 (original manila) I can carry out the process and get a success message, but when I try to load Agenda One I get the pop up message "unable to load language res..."

I'm using Manila2D 1.0.1818.3719. With old good SSMapa2d I can replace Alarm/Time application.
Using new SSMaPa I can't see the option to do that (although I see other options like WLanSettings and AudioBooster).

Is is possible to set up a toggle to replace the "All Programs" softkey (the long scrolling list of everything installed) with a command that just brings up the standard WinMobile "Programs" list?

Yes, the standard "Programs" display isn't very useful, but it's straightforward to set up sub folders (e.g., GPS, Media, Comms, etc.) and move things to that. Once that's done the standard "Programs" display is fairly useful -- and much handier than TF3D's scrolling display.

I've googled [replace "all programs" OR "the all programs" diamond] and found nothing useful. Perhaps SSMaPa can do it?

If you have further elements, that you would like to change, write it to me and I will test if I'm able to integrate them.

Using is simple:
-> Start application
-> Choose Configuration
-> Click 'Init' (The Application will now check which patches are available, and make a security backup if your manila. This can take some secoonds)
-> Choose the file you want to change, tick 'Patch' and enter your prefered file. Click on Save.
Note: The '$' in arguments is for using the original commandline from manila. You can enter some other arguments before of this, but not after!
-> Change to the next Tab and click on 'Deploy' (this can take some minutes)


Note for Manila2D Users:
Extended init will not work because I don't have the details. but never mind if you complete 'more settings' it should work.

Note for Rom Cookers:
You can add your own conifurations. Simply add a file named ssmapabaseconf_[smt].xml (for example ssmapabaseconf_ElviraROM.xml) in same folder as ssmapa is, and add there your manila configuration in following format:

You don't have to softreset your device, simply touch on today and the new manila.exe will start.

Theoretically you should get a warning for every changed file on executing it the first time, but only once. If something will ist not working, make sure your phone is fully applicationunlocked.

The Application doesn't need to be started again, it should work till the next hard-reset.


For all with UnauthorizedAccessException:
Try again with 'Extended Init' ticked. Unfortunatelly I don't have a such phone, and couldn't test if it's really working.. would be happy if you can give a small feedback.

If your files are signed, you're asked if you want to unsign them.
Please note, I didn't find a way to remove the signatures in a 'correct' way. I make a exe-based-deactivating. This is ok, as long as you don't want to resign them. If you want to resign them with your own certificate chose no and do it by hand.


I don't think that this tool is able to destroy something on the phone. Never mind, I'm not responsible for any damages.

If you want the calendar to start in your favorite view and not in Agendaview, enable patch on calendar.exe an simply remove '$' from arguments.

Thank you, svenso and chihliouma! I needed to get my calender app working when hitting the appointments/task in the home today screen. SBHS used to be able to do that on install, but maybe it's the new ROM I flashed, or the yota contacts/menu installs, but somehow it reverted back to the wm calendar (which I hate with a passion). guys. extended init does not work on manila2d devices if you didn't correct the settings. read the first post.
today plugin name is the name that shows up in settings / today / Items (the dll do you have to set also: "HKLM\software\Microsoft\Today\Items\xxx\" value: DLL)

manila filename: manila2d.exe

Touch Flo 2d simply does not have a poutlook link (or in any case not a simple patchable one).

Hi, I've tried this app on M2D for Omnia and it works. (Changing default clock to tclock)

However my M2D's interface gets messed up, text goes missing and the soft menu keys are gone. Anyone know how to get pass this?

im having some trouble with ssmapa just hanging when trying to change program associations. everythings fine until i hit deploy, thats when it hangs. hangs when trying to do full restore also. the theme is cfc compressed and included a modded manila.exe file, so not sure if thats causing the hangup

- From Manilla Messages, touching the message body preview launches the SMS\MMS Composer (in Dutty's ROM) im not sure if this is default behaviour?

- From Manilla Messages, touching "All Messages" launches tmail.exe

- From Manilla Mail, touching the email body (the envelope) launches the Internal Mail program (it doesnt appear to be tmail.exe)

- From Manilla Mail, touching "Inbox" launches tmail.exe

- From Manilla Mail, touching the "New Mail Message icon" (at the top) launches email.exe

It seems tmail.exe uses parameters to invoke specific parts of its program respectively.

From the boards I got some of the following (they can be made into .lnk shortcuts so that a particular section of tmail.exe is launched):

Open new message tmail.exe -transport "SMS" -to ""
Open your sms inbox tmail.exe -transport "SMS"
Open your email inbox tmail.exe -transport "ActiveSync"

I read the whole thread trying to find a way to patch the sms application only, instead of tmail.exe as a whole but unfortunately I don't think it's possible yet.

I use VITO sms chat (or to be exact, I would like to use it) and replace the windows sms app. However, if I replace tmail.exe then when I click "All Messages" (on the email tab) I get (as expected) the Vito sms chat instead of my emails.

So, I am looking forward to a newer version where we will be able to patch sms and email separately.

In any case, thanks a lot sven for this great app.

I know that. I also checked the integration of smt like this. but this is an ugly solution. it would need another application mapper between manila and the program. you can program this mapper exe yourself. I won't do it.. as already said, I'm testing some ways of mapping all keys, but it's hard.

What happens is that i am in sms-chat, i turn the phone to use the keyboard in landscape mode, then it leaves chat and goes to the programs/applications screen. It completely kicks me out of the chat screen and back to the home screen when turned into landscape.

after a full restore your old manila is restored for sure on a original device...if you do not unsign the exe it will not be able to start after patching..

take a look at the attached screenie.. lots of issues (softkeys gone, call history text gone, alarm text gone, calendar subject text gone.. on other tabs like messaging there are lots of errors showing up now too)

so .. what sohuld i do?
even deploying a reset didnt change anything..

this is REALLY bad.. i used the manila2d.exe i backed up.. overwrote the one in windows..... reloaded m2d..... IT STILL looks like the screen i attached!

ssmapa was never written for cooked roms.
and you are responsible yourself.

however, do a fullrestore with the manila2d config and it will probably work. if not you have to restore the registry key wih the manilatoday plugin.

further i advise you not to use the program again. there's officially no support for it and you are self-responsible.

for debug purposes you can provide me the file _mpman.exe.

but the htc taskmanager usually changes its background from a touch scheme to the m2d aqua blue background when m2d is active.. now when m2d is active.. htc taskmanager background does not change from the touch scheme color into the aqua blue backgruond..

despite the issue i had, i still love your utility and would love to be able to use it ;)

now only one question.. do you know the registry to fix the issue with the taskmanager?
the background is usually a blue to go along with m2d, but now it is what it looks like whenever m2d is disabled (a touch-colored gradient)
i even tried reinstalling it, and it still isnt fixed..

any ideas?

I am using Resco Contacts on a HTC diamond and have managed to map my Favorites to a Touchflo button using SSMapa. The button will successfully open Resco to the favorites, but sometimes when it opens the Favorite menu popup is shown (New,Edit,Send,Add/Del,More...). Any idea what would be causing this? It seems like the program thinks I hit the favorite button twice somehow?

Anyone else trying to use this combination of programs?

So has anyone been successful getting the mail tab to work when only using wireless sync. It only shows no accounts, yet it updates the lower envelope when new mail arrives. It just doesn't show up in the main screen area. I've searched quite a bit and have found the question asked in several forums but never answered, other than someone suggesting making a dummy account and then it would pull from the Outlook Inbox, but it didn't work.

Using Verizon Touch pro with wireless sync (best solution for me so far).

I can't assign G-alarm to replace standard wm alarm. I entered corect paths, deploy patch, everything passed ok but after i restart TF3D when tap on clock and on alarm wm alarm is started...

I got it to work. Are you clicking the "SAVE" button before moving to deploy? I used Time click(?) and I now click the Alarm spot at the lower left corner of the Clock. I never could find the .exe file so I just used the .lnk in the StartMenu. Works fine. Just browse to it. Whatever I did in Time Click is broken is fine. Nothing happens which I kind of like.

I tried to change the TF3D internet icon from launching Opera to launching iexplorer. Tried the TF3D internet button and it still launches Opera. The app operation went according to instructions but no change...... Any help/thoughts..... appreciated....

First of all many thanks to you svenso for this great tool.

I just want to report that I was able to change the clock to Spb Time on my Touch HD (original Rom) but I am having some problems when I run Spb Time through the home page by clicking the clock (it works fine if I run it manually from programs)

The problem seems to be only related to City View/Names. They don't show up on the world map view and also all the dialog boxes are empty under settings tab for the Cities.

Did anyone have a similar problem? I applied the patch as explained here and left the "Arguements" box empty.

This somewhat worked on TF2D with Omnia i910. Used it to replace the clock with tclock.exe

What it screw up is all the fonts on TF2D becomes invisible. Can't see it. But it does bring up the tclock.exe fine

+1 I have the same problem. I believe it because the HD manilla is compressed. Hope this gets fixed soon.

Hello, didn't have any issues with SSMaPa, until this manila version 3.0.38196.3_Duttys on HTC Blackstone.

(tried all methods of initiation for calendar and time click.
after deploying calendar does nothing time click does the same )

can anyone advise how to remap shortucts?

I've had a quick look at SSMaPa, and it looks as if it will do exactly what I want to be able to do. However, as far as I can tell, it doesn't have a way to change the Tasks and Notes programs. I presume SSMaPa works for the icons on the landscape screen (Touch Pro)? I want to be able to link to different tasks and notes software from there, rather than the (completely rubbish) standard Win Mobile ones. Any chance of that?

When I tap on Init, I get this prompt with yes/no options:
Your Manila.exe seems not to be the right one (too small filesize) continue=

when I click on Yes, it ends up with blank settings list.

I have installed SSMaPa and I have followed the whole process.
But when I press "deploy", the application freezes (I waited more than 20 minutes).
Any idea about this problem ???

Thanks, svenso, I changed clicking on the clock - now it activates Camera.

I noticed that for choosing your choice for what program to activate, the "All Files" refer only to the files on the SC, unless I am doing something wrong.
So, I Copy/Paste Shortcut 'ed the link for Camera in SC\Program Files, and it works well.

Is this OK?
